Enjoyed my visit very much to New Philadelphia, Ohio. There are many thing to do there over the normal tourist thing. Take side roads off of SR routes and visit the farms. Route 557 has many good places Harsbergers market and the Guggisburg cheese house. Alpine Chelet all in the same area. And right down the road in Charm are several little shops.

Clean, comfortable room with complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was typical but good (eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, yogurt, bagels, cereal, etc). Didn't use the wifi, pool, nor fitness area this time. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Very nice hotel! Stayed here for a Birthday trip to the Amish country! Very close to Sugar Creek, Walnut creek, Berlin, etc. The woman who checked us on was very warm and friendly! Really enjoyed the cookies upon arrival too. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Really enjoyed having a REAL bathroom with plenty of space which seems to be rare at hotels. Pool and hot tub were really nice and we loved that they stay open until midnight! Perfect way to relax after a long day of sight seei... Read more

The service in this place was fantastic. It is older, but very clean. Breakfast was great. Ginny was especially helpful and kind at the front desk. We left feeling like the staff genuinely cared about making us comfortable. They all took time to talk to our small children, and make sure their needs were met.

Family mini vacation. Hamptons never disappoint, always wonderful. The players are the nicest and most helpful! If u are visiting Amish country here are some suggestions. Eiler candy shop in Dover has an old fashioned soda fountain I had a large for .43 cents. Hershberger farm, freshest bakery and free petting zoo. Mainstreet fudge for homemade icecream and lots more and a few doors down is Pretzel nook the best pretzels omg. And popcorn. Oh and I love Hampton inns! Best hot breakfast the hot... Read more

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and have had excellent experience both times. The hot tub is so nice after a long day sitting in meetings. I love their breakfast, too. The best smoked sausage ever! The availability saves time and money especially when on a tight business schedule. No need to leave early to find a decent place for a good meal to start the day.

We are Hilton people, and this location did not disappoint. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfy, and the front desk staff were very helpful. There are benches out back that face the river. Please take 10 minutes to go out and sit. Pick sunset or sunrise for the most peaceful time of day. I will say the breakfast attendant was quite rude. The chlorine smell in the pool was also very strong.

Hampton properties always a great start. Traveled with the family to visit friends over a holiday weekend. Easy access to I-77, plenty of restaurants and department store shopping in case you forgot any items. Comfortable, multiple night stay with a very friendly staff.. Clean room, clean pool. Stop on by.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. The first night we were awakened at 2 am by a phone call stating that there was a problem with our credit card. My husband went down to the desk only to find out that the call had been forwarded to our room, and was some sort of prank. The management could not have been more apologetic for the incident, and even comped the room for that night. What a class organization. Will definitely stay here again!!

Stayed here recently for business. Had to be in the area the next AM early for work; called and was told that they only had smoking rooms left. Other hotels in the area were sold out, so... made my way there, and first issue was that it took 10 minutes for anyone to show up at the front desk. Calling the hotel while standing in the lobby... nobody answered the phone. Oh, and there was another guy standing there who had been there even longer. Next, the room was smoky... and even had cigaret... Read more

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in New Philadelphia with my family, partly on points and partly paying, as we came home (to my in-laws) to visit my dying father-in-law. Everyone at his property, from the front desk staff to the cleaning personnel are just so kind and friendly. This isn't a fancy hotel, but it is clean, well-appointed, and meticulously cared for. They even included ear plugs in the night stand if you are sharing a room with someone who snores (like my son - and I do!). Th... Read more

This hotel was recently remodeled, lobby and rooms are fresh. First time visitors may have difficulty entering hotel, as it is behind other buildings and the entrance is poorly marked. Once in, I liked the view of the Tuscarawas River flowing right next to the parking lot (even numbered rooms have the view). Room was clean and quiet.

We stayed at this property last week for the funeral of my niece's husband who died way too young. The staff at this hotel were so compassionate and accommodating to the family who stayed at the hotel. They went above and beyond for us and it was greatly appreciated. The staff actually care's about your stay and strives to make each stay hassle free, and they do. If there is a Hampton Inn in the city we travel too that is where we stay. Hampton are always very nice and this one was no different. Very clean and the staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The breakfast and workout areas were much better than most places. Fortunately for us we had a gift certificate. When I inquired the actual price I felt like it was very high. If we didn't have the gift certificate, would have stayed elsewhere simply because of the price. Other than that a very nice quality hotel.

I generally stay at Hampton Inns so booked this room for our trip to see Trumpet in the Land. We were able to check in a few minutes before checkin time which I appreciated. The reception desk gave us discount coupons for 3 nearby restaurants. A call to the room to make sure all was well shortly after we arrived was a nice touch. This is another old Hampton Inn property that has undergone renovations to update its interior, so don't be fooled by the dated exterior of the building. The king study suite in which I stayed was very comfortable and roomy. Most importantly, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We saved $1,000 for the 4 nights vs staying closer to Canton, OH. Staff was excellent at all times, day and night. An older hotel, but clean. When we walked in the door, we wondered if we would be able to stay due to the fact that they had a hot water leak. There were large fans all the way down the hallway. Do you know how to tell when a hotel is a notch above the others. They quickly explained what happened and assured us it would not affect our stay. It did not. The room was exceptionally clean. The staff were great and breakfast was good. The room was fine but the carpet could have used a washing. The beds were fine too. The faucet was splashy when you washed your hands and the shower head didn't seem to want to cooperate. The pool and hot tub were good as well, but the pool temp was a bit too cold. I would stay there again as the price was reasonable and it was close to a lot of activities.
