The experience overall was nice. Only real issues was the toilet stopped up the first time someone used the restroom and the key card reader to the door didn't work. Had to go to front desk to have them let me in the room with their master key as the reader didn't recognize any other keys. They said maintenance would take care of it but we were only a one night stay. Front desk were really friendly and helpful though.

Clean, friendly, no bugs. Breakfast was good. Shower was hot. Room was large. I accidentally booked us in a smoking room and the staff tried to change it but they were full. I didnt think it would be a big deal but the room was smelly, my fault..

I have to thank Stephanie at the front desk for calling me on the day of my check in to confirm my room type. She looked up my HiltonHonors profile, knew I preferred non-smoking, noticed I was assigned a smoking room, and called me to switch me to the last available non-smoking room. Outstanding service!!! I was in town for a youth baseball tourney and the hotel was very close and convenient. Nice rooms and nice breakfast.

The property seems dated and could use a overhaul, it wasn't bad but it just doesn't get that fourth star. The hotel staff from the front desk to all others we encountered were outstanding, helpful, Friendly and professional, I would stay again just for this fact.

So this is my first review ever for trip advisor, I picked this hotel cause of the great reviews I saw here on trip advisor. I'm a silver member and I stay a good plenty at hotels with my wife and two kids. So where should I start... When we checked in on our Hilton honors app, it already picked a room for us, a king smoking room. Now granted I have nothing against smokers, but my wife and I don't smoke.. We walked in the room and u can definitely smell the smoke. So here comes in with Stephanie... Read more

We were there for a basketball tournament, Hotel Staff went above and beyond making our team stay comfortable and memorable. Hotel had a half basketball court and picnic area which was perfect for team bonding! Staff was very friendly and always asking if we needed anything. Room was very clean, loved the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Bed was very comfortable too!

They have a weekly cookout that would rival a family reunion type atmosphere, the staff was extremely attentive. I normally stay at other Hilton properties but they were the hotel that had rooms available for my stay. I will definitely stay again at a Homewood Suites.

The hotel was really nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a good nights sleep and a good breakfast in the morning. The staff was courteous. The only problem was being put next to a smoking room which stunk up the hallway and made its way into our room.

I should have slept in my car! Smelly room dirty pillows dirty towels spiders in my room. No crib for my 1 year old and I prepaid so I couldn't get my money back and give it to a sleep able hotel. I was offered air freshener to deodorize my own room instead of getting another room. Paid $263 for 1 night and basically got a $35 motel 6 room.

This is a typical Homewood Suites but the customer service was exceptional! It was also in a very convenient area to get around. I did have some mechanical issues with my fireplace. Room was very clean and a nice size.

The Homewood Suites in Toledo-Maumee offered a two bedroom two bath option. The hotel was clean, well-maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate and included. The property is located near restaurants and highways that take you into Toledo. It is not far off the Ohio Turnpike. The rooms have a full kitchen, and our suite had three TVs. It worked well for our needs of space and some privacy.

We got the 1 king bedroom suite and I am very pleased. It had a fully stocked kitchen which I loved. My only complaints are that we had to share a remote for the living room and bedroom which I thought was quite odd and inconvenient since we had people wanting to watch tv in both rooms. The front desk said it was bc the remotes would interfere with each tv however I did not find that to be true since when we used the remote in one room it did not affect the tv in the other room. Also the bed was... Read more

Stopped here for the night on our way from Pennsylvania to Chicago and this is about halfway point.. The staff was excellent starting from the check-in experience to Dianne who took care of the breakfast in the morning to the Chief Engineer Dan that gave us a tour of the newly renovated pool and whirlpool. We tried both and they were great as it's indoor and heated. The room was nice with a full kitchen. I was upgraded to a two bedroom suite due to my Hilton Honors membership. Free wifi as well... This property is in an area best described as a cluster of office parks outside of Maumee. It's precise location is not easy to pinpoint with a GPS as it is recessed behind some other chain hotels. First, the rooms are fine, just like suites at every other Homewood Suites: nice sitting area/kitchen with sleeper sofa and a separate bedroom/bathroom. Beyond the rooms--let's face it, they are the main attraction--things are done half-way. No cookies or other snack food set out for late check-in... Read more

The beds were comfortable--which is not something I say very often. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the thermostat--room stopped cooling. The staff came within 30 minutes to work on it so it was cooling again within the hour. Breakfast is about the same as most hotels that offer a "free" breakfast--better than some, but not as good as some others.

We recently stayed overnight at this property for its pet friendly status and outstanding stays we'd had at a Homewood Suites in Santa Fe. We were extremely happy with this choice. The staff was outstanding, making sure all our needs were met. We arrived close to the closing time for the daily free dinner and the front desk clerk made sure the kitchen stayed open long enough for us to get our meal. There are better properties in the area. I'm a Hilton Diamond member. I haven't been stuck in a smoking room in a long time. I'm in hotels 80 nights plus a year. Smoking rooms need no longer to even be available. I said something to front desk in a diplomatic tone giving them a chance to offer something. Nothing offered. I won't return to this property

First time we've stayed at a Homewood Suites. We were quite impressed by the layout of the room, separate bedroom and study area / kitchen area, nice sized bathroom area and room with toilet and shower. I wish there was a door between the bedroom and sink area though. The included breakfast was very well done too. The bed was nice, but the pillows were a little small and too fluffy for us. Clean, large rooms, and quiet. Complimentary breakfast buffet is adequate. I was traveling on business and was happy to find this place close to St Luke's Hospital. Suites are very large. Could easily sleep 5 if needed. Full fridge, cook top, dishes, ice maker, etc. Not a bad find in little old Maumee Ohio. Lacking the Hilton Honors greeting upon arrival. I've been spoiled and choose Hilton properties and get used to the little perks. But all in all a great place to stay.

I stayed at this Homewood because the hotel I usually stay at was booked. My suite was clean and quite, and the bed was comfortable. I don't like the pillows at all of the Homewood Suites. They all have a huge pillow beneath your regular pillow. It isn't comfortable or practical unless you use it for a body pillow. I usually end up removing it from the bed. The selection of regular pillows isn't as good as it is at Hiltons and Hampton Inns. Breakfast was ok but the quality and variety was ... Read more

We have been staying at this hotel for years when we visit family. We like the 2 bed 2 bath suite for the extra room. On our last couple visits we have been very disappointed. We recently stayed in a 1 King bed suite. The carpet was torn and filthy. The bathroom floor was not clean. The room overall just run down in need of renovation. Also new bedding is needed including pillows. Not a great stay for us.

Normally, people don't say that a Homewood Suites, much less a Homewood Suites in a place like Maumee, Ohio, is an oasis, but in my case, it truly was an oasis. We were in Monroe, MI for a dog show and checked into a hotel there that was so bad, we stayed only long enough to find another place to stay. There was nothing in the area that was pet friendly so we had to broaden our search to the greater Toledo area, which was really only about a 40-minute drive away. After being in the "roach mote... My husband and I spent one night here on a 23 day roadtrip. Shawn, who checked us in was super and I appreciated the room upgrade. The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Why not five stars you ask? Well, because there was a (long-staying) guest's dog loose in the lobby. Guess, we should stay at hotels that don't allow pets.

Although our room was clean I didn't appreciate the queen top sheet on my king bed. And the fact that the inroom coffee was the worst I have ever tasted was nothing compared to the fact that they didn't offer the network that was broadcasting the Cubs game for the championship. Ugh. Very upsetting, emailed company about 36 hours ago and again just now. We were not advised of the cost ($145 extra) to bring our dogs. Most places may charge $25-$30 extra, but $145!!! It was our anniversary and the additional amount excessive, caused hardship. Not just that, the rooms were dirty in the corners, slip shod cleaning. Had to go twice to have door cards' reset at office, just in an overnight stay. Finally just propped door so we wouldn't have to keep going to office.

Stayed in this Homewood Suites with my family. Best Homewood Suites we've visited so far. Only complaint is the poor quality of the hot breakfast items. Could be greatly improved. However, the hotel was very clean and had a warm, welcoming environment. We were disappointed not to find a DVD player in the room, but the front desk had one that we were able to use. We will absolutely be back to this hotel again!

Had a couples shopping weekend and chose this property since we had stayed here before and because they offer larger rooms to accommodate more people. We love the amenities and the room options. Only one downside..the pull out sofa mattress was terrible and so made for a not so restful sleep. That is the only reason I didn't rate the sleep quality excellent. The other beds were awesome!!! BUT aside from that, it is a great location. So comfortable and feels like home!
