Hotel was under renovations. Room was very dusty. My kids found someone else's socks under the bed. The bathroom showers appeared dirty. The showers were old & not updated. The rooms were inadequately stocked. Will consider another hotel on the next Fairborn visit

You'll run into construction if you're staying soon (based on other reviews, they've been doing something since January), but it's not a big deal at all. Beds are comfortable, walls seem solid and not a lot of outside sound comes in. There is a pool and small gym (5 machines, some free weights). Good bang for your buck!

Had reservations for 2 months and check in was fast. Got to the room and it 2 beds instead of the king that my reservation showed. After several minutes of complaining we finally got a king room. This hotel lobby was under construction and the room hallway carpets were terrible looking... not dirty just bad pattern that looked like it was oil stained. We were to get free breakfasts comped but had to argue will the nasty clerk, finally the supervisor found in her book we were to get coupons for br... The Holiday Inn in Fairborn is a mixed bag. The room large and clean-ish, and the people working at the hotel were wonderful. It is for them that I have given the hotel 3 stars rather than 2. So, if the room was decent and the staff was great, why only three stars? 1. The sheets. They were pilly. This is an indications of a.Cheap sheets, b.Old sheets. Let's just say that it was unpleasant to sleep on them, though the bed was comfortable and seemed new. 2. Breakfast. a. The food... Read more

Hotel was average. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some construction being done around the hotel but nothing that interfered with my stay. Mattress was not up to the caliber I have come to expect in the IHG family. Would stay again on my next trip to my customers facility.

The lobby area has been renovated and looks nice. The rooms seem to have missed the update. Sheets are used, thin, and stained. The satellite TV losses signal which makes it impossible to watch non-major channels. Housekeeping appears to be just doing a job. I usually overlook a lot of the 'bad' of a hotel if the room, sheets, and towels are clean. This is not the case here. Gross random hair and stains on the sheets (I wondered if the sheets were even changed between guests), stained towels, an... Read more

The room was good, as was the service. My low rating is ENTIRELY based on the fact that my stay was on May 1st. They didn't bill my credit card until July 1st. This is just poor business practice. Please, get your act together.

We stayed four nights at the newly renovated Holiday Inn. The renovation was beautifully done. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished and the restaurant/bar on site was very good. Most impressive was the staff. From front desk, restaurant/bar, maintenance and housekeeping, we were continuously greeted with warm and friendly staff members. This went on day after day. It was really nice. The GM has done a fantastic job with his people.

Excellent hotel with great service. Housekeeping neglected to clean our room one night, but the sales manager more then made up for it by offering complimentary breakfast for my family of 4! She was most professional and friendly. Tammy in housekeeping also was a joy, she sincerely apologized for the oversight and provided everything we needed. Way to go! Would stay again at this fine property.

We stayed the past weekend for a softball tournament. While the stay was ok, it wasn't what we expected. We had stayed in the same hotel 3 years ago. While the lobby has been updated other things have gone down hill. Upon check in we were supposed to receive breakfast coupons...we did not. When we asked for them the lobby acted as if I was crazy. I had to get a new room key several times due to demagnetizing. The staff seemed a bit annoyed with me and kept telling me to keep away from my ... Read more

I've stayed here several times over the past few years, and the staff are always helpful. But, the rooms and the fitness center need to be updated, During my most recent stay, there was major construction in the lobby and what used to be the restaurant & bar. The lack of a restaurant made this stay less than what I had expected, but perhaps soon there will be a better restaurant & bar and I won't mind the old furniture in my sleeping room.

On entering this property we were greeted warmly by the staff. The entry, lobby and lobby restaurant / bar looks to have been recently and nicely updated. The rooms are very average and a bit worn but clean.

This is a great full service hotel conveniently located right beside the I675. The staff were very friendly and the lobby is grander, larger and nicer than you would expect considering the fairly modest entry to the hotel. The room (we had 2 double beds) was clean and nicely equipped with a Keurig coffee maker and a flat screen TV with a good selection of HD channels. The air conditioner, which I often find annoyingly loud and many hotels, was relatively quiet in its operation. It might soun... Read more

The Holiday Inn Fairborn, just outside of Dayton, is a lovely facility, newly renovated, but the real prize is the wonderful staff. We are planning a military reunion and using the Holiday Inn as our HQ. We could not have asked for a more professional and friendly group of people to work with. From making the reservations to planning the catering, the entire process has been smooth and efficient. Conveniently located near downtown Dayton, Wright-Patterson AFB, and the National USAF Museum, th... Read more

We stayed here for one night while in town to visit the birth place of aviation and the Air force museum. Nice big wide open lobby area and everything looked very clean and the employees were very friendly. The only thing my son found a long black hair is his bed when he turned it down.

I booked just minutes before we arrived through Groupon. I was very impressed with the hotel and the service. We were just passing through on a road trip and it was time to stop for the night. Plenty of food options near the hotel. We paid just a few $$ extra and got breakfast included with room. Our kids (6, 8) were free. There was a pool too!

A group of breast cancer survivors from several states had a meet and greet here. There was plenty of room in the lobby for us to gather and socialize. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious. We had dinner at the restaurant Friday evening. It was okay. I would stay here again.

The hotel has a lot of parking available and the lobby area is large and nicely decorated - I loved the ??wall?? of diagonal metal rods delineating the restaurant. The AC in our room worked great and kept everything comfortably cool and we were there on a hot, humid day. The room size was decent and it seemed clean enough. The bathroom was a good size with an exceptionally large vanity that allowed for plenty of space for our toiletries. The front desk staff were very nice as they switched... Read more

Stopped here before going to the Air Force Museum the next day. The parking lot was well lit with ample parking. The check in was quick and easy - although I did have to ask about having paid for breakfast in advance to get my coupons. I was impressed with how friendly the staff was - had a number give a nice smile and hello. You have the option of eating at the in-house restaurant or there are a number of restaurants within a couple of minutes (Texas Roadhouse, Red Lobster and Big Boy to na... Read more

I stayed here for four nights during a business trip with a group of collegues. Our group was actually presenting a two-day seminar event in one of the hotel??s event rooms, hence I can comment on the hotel??s facilities in that regard as well. My room was clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. The excellent room rate we received included the full breakfast buffet and in my opinion this was, while basic, very good. I always appreciate a good buffet breakfast to start my day on business tri... Read more

One of the surprise bargains on our trip. We expected to pay more for such an impressive property. The down side was the noise... our room was off the elevator lobby and there was a large group of youth soccer league competitors in the building. Would stay here again.

This is a great hotel very close to the USAF Museum. Super helpful staff and the rooms were clean and well looked after. The morning breakfast buffet is excellent and the restaurant / bar both serves good food at dinner time with a nice quiet atmosphere for drinks in the evening.

My husband and I stayed here for one night while visiting our son at college. The lobby is very large and open, check-in was easy. We were only at the hotel to sleep, so didn't have a chance to check out the amenities, but our room was OK. It was at the end of a hall so the window was smaller, making the room a bit dark. The bathroom was a bit dated, but clean. Bed and pillows were very soft. There was no complimentary breakfast in the morning, but there was free coffee. The parking lot was larg... Read more
