The Marriott at the University of Dayton is an awesome place to stay especially for travelling as a business trip. The room I stayed was clean, hotel staffs were very nice. The breakfast restaurant in the lobby has good food and their services are very nice too. Our waitress, Brooke, I highly recommend her service.

We stayed at this Marriott several times. The rooms are good, clean and roomy - and no complaints. 5th and 6th floor rooms with view to the pool have a balcony. First floor rooms to the pool have a small outdoor patio. We also had river view rooms as well. As usual, ask for a room away from the elevators to get some quiet time. High speed internet is truly high speed and I have never experienced this speed at a hotel. I measured 89mbps download and 90mbps upload. Amazing! Breakfast is good and ... Read more

Love the predictability of Marriott when I am on the road! Excellent staff and good restaurant choices abound. If you're in Dayton, give this place a try! It's only about 20 minutes from the airport and very close to the downtown/university area.

I want to give a big shout out a Kudo to one of our house keepers Brian Agnew. He took good care of us with a great Smile and was very personable. The over all staff is very good and it is usually during a big convention wne I come every year but they all pull together. Brian just made it extra special.

Two night stay here for business, nice pub for dinner but larger restaurant only open for breakfast and lunch (?). Marriott bed and bedding (yea!), clean and spacious room with Juliet balcony, and hooray! a mini-fridge in a full-service hotel, what a bonus. Thank you management. A fridge to put my water, soda and snacks. Fast Wi-Fi, free for me (a Rewards member) so I could finish my reports. Located next to University with numerous walking options. Excellent choice for this area of Dayton.

Great hotel and worth a little extra $$ for the Exec lounge. I've stayed twice and have enjoyed both times. I'm Marriott Platinum so I always look for Marriott full service properties and this ranks high among. them. The rooms are somewhat dated however - or else I would have given it a '5'.

Construction work is loud. Only during the day but enough to rattle your teeth. Traffic is bad during rush hour. Staff is nice and accommodating. Would return. Location is great 2 restaurants on premises. Just down the road all the restaurants you could imagine. Typical college town. Pool was well kept with adequate seating. Workout room was nice, but construction noise was intense. Stayed 2 nights Tuesday and Wednesday.

I was traveling through Dayton and looked from someplace downtown for the night. Nothing downtown look very attractive so I expanded my search and ended up there and I'm happy I did. The room was very comfortable and clean and so was the bathroom. There are doing some remodeling at the front door but that was not a problem. I got checking in quickly and professionally.

Room and meeting facilities were excellent. Also the food and beverage employees were outstanding. Kudos to Amy Toth, Rob Kallage, Toney Johnson, and Tammy Pettit. In the restaurant kudos to Haydee and Sarah. There were excellent.

Spent one night while on a business trip. The hotel is undergoing some renovation but outside of that, a nice business hotel. The service is very good...I ordered room service dinner at 10:15 and the food was delivered in less than 15 minutes! The beds are very comfortable. The only downside is the air-conditioning. Rooms have individual units which are very noisy.

terrific place very accommodating. the bar seems a little outdated......no style to the place, seems drab. also room service is very expensive, be careful when you order - the food is great however. too bad you cannot get a free coffee in the lobby . right now, the hotel is being renovated

We stay here every year when we come to dayton for a convention. It is clean and the staff is friendly. They have a nice gym and pool area. Only downsides are the smallness of the rooms and the loud music from the bar downstairs on Friday and Saturday nights but it's over by 11 and you can request a room on the other side of the hotel. Right now it's under construction so rooms are being uodated.

While the property was under construction you wouldn't have known. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about my stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Once home my husband realized he'd left some clothes in a drawer. I called and the staff immediately took care of it. They shipped it to my home on a Monday and Tuesday when I got home from work it was there. I will be staying here again if I'm ever in Dayton again.

I stayed for three nights at the Dayton University Marriott in late April, 2016. This is a good hotel ?? what I would expect of a Marriott. I spent most of my time at the Dayton Convention Center about 2 miles away, but the one meal I ate at the Marriott (in the bar because it was mid-afternoon) was entirely satisfactory. The reason I was at the Marriott and not the Crowne Plaza (which is attached to the Convention Center) is that our group was too large for the Crowne Plaza. Since I was at... Read more

This has been a really good hotel in the past, but should now become a really great place to stay as it is going through a major renovation. The wait staff in the restaurant are particularly great and always greet you in the morning with great service and a friendly smile. They even anticipate your needs and you don't have to beg to be waited on. Sara, Haydee, and Kathe are always pleasant and take a personal interest in each guest. Della always makes great omelets for the guests on Saturday... Read more

We chose this hotel primarily because it was large enough for our function and offered the most services. Secondary reason was that they offered a highly competitive room rate for our attendees. We brought 278 people there for five days, including multiple group breakfasts and sit-down dinners. The staff is highly professional---typical of Marriott. What few "burps" that did occur were handled with dispatch and efficiency. One continuing irritation was that the hotel is in the middle of a c... Read more

I was attending a weeklong conference. Josh with catering team made sure that I did not eat anything from the buffet that I was allergic too. He went extra mile and if there was a starch with cream, he would ask for preparation of an alternative item. Today he knew that there was not anything on the buffet that I could eat, had special plate prepared and brought it personally to me. I commend the manager, the chef and his team for this over and beyond customer service. Also, the housekeepe... Read more

We had a very good stay at the Marriott at the University Dayton. While it is an older property and undergoing a total renovation, the room was clean and the air conditioner was very cool which we love! Breakfast this morning was excellent tasting and freshly cooked. Our server...Brooke, was excellent and very attentive. Even in the middle of renovations - construction work, this is a great place to stay in Dayton, Ohio. The property is confidently located close to downtown, in a beautiful area... Read more

Dayton does not have a large selection of decent hotels, this one is OK at best. I had stayed here on business many times prior to retirement. Many years later I was there for a family event, the place has declined in standards. The rooms are very overpriced for the quality. At check in were were amazed there was no bell service and there was no bar. There was a refrigerator in room, allowing for beverages to be kept cold. Maid service was average. We only dined in the Restaurant for brea... Read more

Very comfortable rooms, Tammi at the desk was very helpful with all my needs. Helped me get boarding passes for my flights. Food in their restaurant was great and service was outstanding thanks to Kathe and Kenny. Like to thank Ben Haller their general manager. There was noise during the day due to reconstruction, but they placed folks in rooms away from the work areas.

My husband and I stayed here due to a wedding. We had a room with a king bed and were very pleased with the room. We had a free shuttle to and from the wedding/reception! We had a late night snack at their restaurant when we came back from the reception and the food was great! Service was also great! I highly recommend if you are in the Dayton area!

We spent one night here on our vacation. The rooms were clean. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The hotel was busy... it looked like there were wedding parties s well as perhaps a few conferences staying. We were a bit concernedwith the number of children however come 10PM it was quiet and we got a great sleep

I am not even half-way through my 17 day stay here, but it has to been said that this hotel really cares about the people staying here! I am here on business but it feels more like a vacation. The General Manager Ben Haller knows what he is doing because there are a few Marriott Team members that have made this stay so delightful. First of all I would like to highlight Melissa - she has been servicing my room for the past week or so and does so very meticulously! I return from a long day to an i... Read more

Stayed at the hotel due to a family emergency, as always the staff was friendly and accommodating with my late arrival. This is our hotel that we use when we visit Dayton. Brooke was awesome at breakfast, and the staff made us feel at home . Great location right off of 75, can't wait to visit again when the remodel is complete .

one mean person checking you in can ruin a stay..... the rest of the staff was pleasant. the food was awful. the room was clean but unexciting. we couldn't wait to get out of there. we could walk to the university of dayton graduation which was the only perk worth mentioning. the staff did bring us a small fridge and microwave when requested.
