We enjoyed our stay and our room had a great view of the city. Loved the huge bathroom and extra drawer storage in the main area. Just one item to nitpick about: there wasn't an exhaust fan to air out the steam from the shower.

We normally do have problems with Starwood properties however there was hair in the bathroom when we checked in. The bottled water coasters were dirty with coffee stains. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to "clean" the bathroom. However, he did nothing. The front desk manager did take something off of the bill but it would help if the housekeeping staff did their jobs.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times and it's always been a pleasant experience. Check in is easy and efficient and the rooms are always comfortable and clean. The location is great- especially if you have to be downtown (I think this would be ideal if you were coming to down for the Columbus Marathon, or other race) When we have a wedding or event happening in downtown Columbus, this is one of the first places we check. It's usually pretty reasonable in price, as well. My only complaint... Read more

I stayed here for one night on business. I was pretty disappointed in the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the bathroom. The toilet's lid, and behind the lid had brown stains on it, and looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. I had a lot of work to do, so I did not waste my time complaining to the staff. I was in room 602. A Sheraton which does not come at a cheap price should really have a higher standard of cleanliness On the other hand, the linens appeared clean, and the bed ... Read more

We traveled with 40 of our running club members to attend the Columbus Half Marathon / Quarter Marathon event. Dave and his race crew put on the best event! The hotel location is fantastic for the event. We arrived home and received our Bill in an email. We were incorrectly charged and it took four attempts to get this corrected and have verification the charges were reversed. Disappointed!

I booked a room at this hotel through booking the silver package for Rock on the Range. Lovely hotel, quality rooms, nice bed & clean. I just wanted to make a special note about the maintenance man named Dave, or formally David, I'd assume. We had issues with our smoke detector and he was super kind and patient with us. He had to come check it twice because the battery was dying and it kept going off, and he stayed and helped us until we figured out what the problem was. Shout out to Dave the ma... Read more

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel is centrally located and the rooms were clean and attractive. What made this, for us, an unenjoyable stay was the temperature in the rooms. Our first room was 78 degrees when we arrived. We turned down the temperature, reported it to the front desk, who assured us someone would take a look, and left for the evening. On our return, the temperature had not changed and we were told no one had looked at it yet. A very kind and friendly maintenance man c... Read more

Stayed here a bunch lately. Location is nice. Hotel is generally clean although I see some reviews to the contrary I never experienced any issues and make the green choice as the room stays clean when you work most of the time. The club lounge is a really nice option and the staff their is extremely nice. The check in staff is more of a cornucopia with some really good and some really questionable folks behind the desk depending on dates and times. "Shuttle Dave" is the man to know and he t... Looks like it ought to be nice but don't look too close. Room was clean, however, bathroom and other fixtures look like somebody slapped them on in their spare time. Air conditioning unit was well past due on servicing. Staff was polite and breakfast was good. Valet lost my car and it took them 45 min to find it - which made me late for my appointment. On the upside, they were very polite about messing up my trip to Columbus.

We made the short trip to Columbus with our daughter for a sort of mid-winter getaway and change of scene. As Sheraton Preferred Guests they made us feel welcome from the minute we walked in the door. The front desk staff was helpful, knowledgeable and proactively reminded us of the benefits we receive as SPG members. Our room was wonderful and the Club Lounge was a great space to grab a snack/breakfast, as well as view the city. We will definitely look to stay here again on a future stay in Col... Read more

Only here for 12 hours and the bed was more important then anything, so Sheraton is always safe. Though, the hotel is still stuck in the 90s ---seems like it never got an update as youncan see the pics. Showers with curtains are the indication the hotel needs to remodel, or low its rate. 300 bucks for an old feel is just not fair.

I stayed here for a conference last week, and it was a fantastic site. The guest rooms are comfortable and spacious, the staff is eager to say Yes to your requests, and the location is fabulous for downtown life, shopping, and dining at all price points. The breakout rooms worked really well, too, with good wifi throughout and nice mingling spots all around the first floor. They also offer modest compensation if you choose to do the green thing and decline room service on any given day.

Stayed here for three nights and found the Club room to be very clean and spacious! Between my Mom and I, we had 4 pieces of luggage (as we were flying back to Hong Kong from Columbus), and we still had plenty of room to move around. I'm probably just not used to this having been in Asia for a while and the rooms tend to be a bit on the smaller end. This is a nice hotel, located conveniently off of Capitol square. It has nice big beds, comfortable rooms and very tasty room service. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day. The problem was, Room 621 had a toilet that didn't fill properly. It worked, but it was annoying to wiggle the switch to get the toilet to fill. As a business class hotel, this one is okay, but other options might be better. The location is terrific and the staff was very accommodating. The elevators had a strange glitch that another guest explained: you could only enter 3 floors at a time, so if you had multiple guests in the elevator you had to wait until someone got out to enter your floor. I would stay here again without too much complaint, except for the fact that you can probably get much better value for your dollar at several other hotels in downtown Columbus, so it would not be my first or second choice. This is our second stay at the Sheraton during Pelotonia in Columbus. The location to the activities can't be beat. Generally, the employees are great and provide excellent service. Lounge and restaurant serve tasty food, superb fitness room (open 24 hours!), large bedrooms and bathrooms, and many groups use it for convenience as it is just 15" from the airport. We stayed here for our 25th anniversary and it was perfect. The staff made us feel very pampered because we were celebrating a big anniversary. The room was beautiful with a terrific view of the city. We will definitely go here again.

This is my fifth visit in as many weeks, an I have yet to have a positive experience. Valet parking is iffy. Typically they stand and watch you unload your luggage, and don't engage until you tell them you're checking in (the luggage should be a give away). I have been injured by a piece of metal sticking out of the bed, waited 2 hours to get a bath mat, and stepped around the pools of water in the elevator, just to name a few issues. I have shared these issues with the front desk and in post ... Read more

Expect to pay around $200 night for an average run of the mill room, then extra for parking which they don't offer. Shockingly, they refuse to provide morning coffee to guests. I was told at 7am that "Starbucks would kill them if they gave away free coffee. Corporate money grubbing at it's finest, the customer loses. No wonder Airbnb is growing it's popularity by the minute. Much more hospitable, interesting, conscious and kind. What a waste.

Welcoming staff, great location and very well-appointed rooms! The beds are excellent too. Just wish the TV line up had HGTV, which is one of my 'guilty pleasures' when I'm on the road. Outlets seem adequate although the I usually prefer o e that's easily accessible from the bed to plug in my phone overnight. All in all though a super comfortable place

Very luxurious hotel. Everything about the hotel was first class. Has all the amenities you need within the building. The parking for the hotel is in an adjacent underground garage that is accessible via elevator and hallway to the hotel. You do not have to valet park if you don't want to and it is very short walk back to the lobby. Hotel is less that 60yrds to the Ohio Theater which was the purpose of our visit. Rooms were first class and very quite. Dined in their restaurant and had drinks in ... Read more

Cramped and dim room; had trouble getting room to cool; few amenities; pay extra to park; very thin walls; overpriced; may be just ok for business travelers but certainly not for families; there must be better than this for the money. I chose this hotel for a family trip and ended up apologizing to them; Will not repeat.

Stayed one night and I really enjoyed myself. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was huge and there was a great view. Front desk personnel were great! Xander was amazing! Very attentive and accommodating. The only downside is that there wasn't a refrigerator in the room. Otherwise I enjoyed myself! I will be back!

At check in on Friday we were asked what time we would be checking out on Sunday so that they could "tell housekeeping". Blanket had yellow stains on it, several spots, have pics. Shower had two temps: very hot & scalding hot. In order to take a bath (could not use shower, too hot) we had to pour luke warm water into the tub from the sink with the ice bucket. If a child were using the tub they would have easily been scalded. In fact, the water in the sink was warm even on cold and the shower wa... Read more

Our AirB&B fell through for a recent trip to Columbus so we decided to take a stab at one of those sites where you have no idea what hotel you are getting. Put in the number of stars, area and they pick one for you. So glad we got this place! The Sheraton Columbus was perfect! The location couldn't be beat, right in the heart of the downtown area and on the 15th floor we had a fabulous view of the city. The hotel itself is a little older, but the bed was comfortable, water in the shower was hot ... Read more

For the most part, I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The staff in the lobby and front desk were incredibly welcoming and friendly, even though they were quite busy. I felt that they genuinely enjoyed their jobs and liked interacting with guests. I got really lucky at check-in and received a free upgrade to the Presidential Suite. (I had booked my stay through a conference registration site and paid conference flat rate so this was a real treat). The room was incredible - very spa... Read more

For the cost of the room we were underwhelmed. Dirty ceiling in the bathroom, bubbling wallpaper, tables had scratches, Valet driver was running errands and our cars were just piled up. Toilet needed attention to get it to stop running. The most disappointing part was how thin the walls were. We heard everything in our suite and felt like there was no privacy. We have stayed in nicer for less money.

Nice hotel. However, the shower in the room wasn't that great, water was super hot and the air in the room was not cold. The ladies that helped us at the front desk were very friendly and let us into our room a little early. I also went to the hotel gym which was very nice. It is equipped with treadmills, bikes, weights etc. overall it was a nice hotel and very close to everything!

PROS Downtown location is convenient. Easy to get all around Columbus on the many freeways. Great views of the state house and downtown architecture. Pretty clean. Spacious rooms. Large bathroom. CONS Beds could be more comfortable $26 for valet parking or $17 for self-parking (attached to but not owned by the hotel) On weekends, it was hard to find breakfast places open in the mornings. Aging rooms, dark. Iron stained my clothes. Our room was right next to the elevator. Fridge door was brok... Read more

Pulled in on a Tuesday afternoon for a stay while attending the John Hiatt concert at the Southern Theater (which is two blocks away). This used to be a Hyatt so the building has beautiful architecture and is primarily concrete construction. The hotel floors are a triangle which is kind of unusual. The staff at the front desk were great and tried to meet all my room requests. I got room 1107 which I found dark and kind of run down. The desk let me look at another that I could move to but it was... Read more

The hotel itself was nice and pretty. There were dirty socks left in the window of our room. The first morning our shower was Luke warm. The next morning our water just COLD! We had a class scheduled and didn't have time to wait for maintenance, so we just told the lady at the desk as we choked out. She did not care at all. Her response was they would check it out for the next guest. After reading reviews now and seeing many have complained about cold water, I feel this explains ... Read more

The staff at this hotel was super-friendly. The property was full because of conventions, but the team--especially at the front desk--went out of its way to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. The banquet staff at luncheons couldn't have been warmer. They all made the stay especially pleasant. The meeting rooms were a bit noisy, with sounds from adjoining meetings bleeding through the dividers (and sometimes drowning out conversation). The sleeping room was plagued by intermittent noi... Stayed for 1 night, room was clean and comfortable. Welcoming staff, well appointed lobby. Speedy check-in. Older room, but well appointed with lots of dark wood panels and marble floors. Could use a little care and upkeep (noticed that coat hook looked like it had been almost ripped out of the wall in the bathroom). Parked underground with a fee. Starbucks in the lobby was convenient for a quick breakfast and coffee. Would stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel with a colleague to save on expenses. When she was long gone and it was time to get a room of my own, I discovered that my bank card wasn't working. Did the hotel throw me out in the cold while I was waiting for my bank to fix the problem? No, quite the opposite! They allowed me to stick around, offered me snacks, and treated me with dignity and the utmost respect. My sheets were dirty when I checked in. Smelled of the previous occupant. When they remade my bed this is the effort made. The hotel is dirty. There are no USB ports, no mini refrigerators, no microwave and the room smells stale. The lighting is so poor I could barely see to do my makeup. But worst of all the water in the shower was lukewarm. My boss found vomit on her headboard and wall. My whole group complained that the morning shower was lukewarm. The overall location of the his hotel, in the heart of Columbus was its major attraction to my colleagues and I on our recent business visit to the city. While the room was OK, we left with numerous complaints: the water pressure was weak (and one morning, the water was lukewarm at best), the housekeeping staff didn't bother to tend to our room until after 4 pm, (just the time we were returning from our conference, looking forward to unwinding, but to be told we couldn't come into the room yet),... Our stay was nice. Front desk staff was great. Our bed was clean and comfy. Our tv remote was missing upon arrival, but they sent 1 right up. My only slight negative was attention to detail when cleaning. You could tell that they had wiped things down, but they didn't get into the corners well & the grout needed attention. The toilet was very similar. However, we would recommend staying here.

Did not stay in the hotel but ate at the restaurant twice. Excellant service and great food. Kind of mid price range but they do have a kids menu. If you valet park at the hotel they will comp your parking ticket. Really great if you are going to a show and do not want to park at the state house.

I thought this Sheraton was pretty good. I was on the 14th floor and had a great view of the city. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean except for the dust bunnies I noticed in the bathroom vent right above the sink which was pretty gross. No fridge or microwave in the room and the tv was small for being so far across the room from the bed. As with a lot of hotels, the ventilation system was noticeably loud. We decided to stay at the Sheraton because we wanted the peace of mind that typically comes with an spg hotel. This was a disappointment. We walked into a room that looked neglected by housekeeping, so much dust and skin near the floor corners and baseboards that it created a white layer on the carpet. We called down to the front desk and informed them of this and the fact that our coffee cups in the room had hair and coffee stains in them as if they'd been used. We also had to let them know the...
