This hotel is located in a former savings The conversion was done and preserves elements of the bank. The room is very comfortable with a stocked kitchenette (full-size coffee maker! ). Convenient downtown location; full breakfast with hot food served in the vault Parking is valet only, $20. There are lots near the hotel but we didn't find any that were less expensive.

I'm a silver rewards member this property really impressed me. Being a renovated bank, I really enjoyed the fact that they incorporated the banks original features into the new usage. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. This is a must stay if you're ever in the area. Only a 15 minute walk to Nationwide Arena. Corporate really did a nice job on this property.

This is best hotel location downtown with the coolest vibe and ambiance (converted from an old bank). Most importantly the ENTIRE staff is gracious, personable, and extremely accommodating. They give great tips on where to go out, get a bite or a drink, and they go the extra mile to make sure every guest has an enjoyable stay. I'll never stay anywhere else in Columbus!

Staff is friendly and efficient. Rooms a very nice, clean with lots of space. Surprisingly small TV. The free food is not very good but there are a number of great restaurants within easy walking distance. Best place for the business traveler in Columbus.

I stayed 2 nights at the Residence Inn for an event at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in May, 2016. Overall, the property has the right combination of amenities, location, and ambiance for either a short or long stay. I arrived late on a Thursday evening and almost drove right by the entrance -- since it's in a converted bank building, there's no major driveway or grand entrance. Nobody was at the valet station, which led me having to leave my car and wander into what I assumed was th... Read more

Visited the Residence Inn for the first time in Columbus. Staff made a great first impression from Valet to the front desk. Rooms well laid out for a restoration of a historic building. Lobby is an old bank with breakfast in the safe. Only opportunity to improve was availability of cold water. Both faucets ran hot made a shower a bit challenging 1 of 2 mornings. The other morning all worked great!

This place is in a fantastic location. Breakfast options including plastic cutlery and take away coffee cups are the same as in every Residence Inn. It gives you this nice "fast food drive through" traveller feeling, where you know what you get and that nobody will bother you. One day after arrival I came down with chicken pox... don't ask (or rather, ask my daughter). I was banned from flying for 2 weeks and had to stay in this hotel. The staff literally could not be bothered by my condition.... Read more

Very nice Residence Inn. Perfect location within walking distance of Short North area and Nationwide Arena. Nice complimentary dinner. Breakfast was much nicer than typical Residence Inn. Rooms are very nice. Staff is great. Old, historic building with tons of character! I will be back!!

I booked the wrong hotel - but Residence Inn staff were very helpful. Instead of the Residence I booked the Renaissance (also Marriott) but the staff was very helpful and called and helped switch out the reservation. How cool is that! Through the entire stay they were smiling and friendly. The building is an old bank and the lobby and common areas have like 50 foot ceilings - it's really kind of neat. The breakfast area is currently served in the old vault turned into kitchen. The bar had ... Read more

This Hotel is located in the heart of Downtown Columbus and strategically located to almost everything you need ! Short North is within a walking distance, as well as other venues in Downtown. The building is very cool, old Bank, which preserved its old and unique architecture. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to stay in such old and historic building, You almost feel the "noise" and "voices" of the hundreds of people who roamed this building's Lobby 100 y. ago. Simply unique ! The hotel als... Read more

We came as a family with a young baby, suffering with crazy jet lag and needing a quiet and calm place to stay to get back on a routine so we could enjoy the summer. We phoned the hotel and asked if we could have a look at the room before booking and wow were we impressed - with both the room and the kind service we received at the time. We soon found that this was the rule, not the exception. We stayed for 12 nights and during that time we found some of the most professional and KINDEST staff ... Read more

Stayed here for two weeks for work with OSU. Great central location, close to the riverside development, all major transport routes nearby and only a few stops from the Short North area and German village. Spacious rooms and affordable laundry service. Very helpful front desk and all cheerful and chatty. Only downside is that the gym is limited to cardio equipment (but it has beautiful jogging routes along the river).

Staying here for a Thirty-One convention for 3 days. Staff has been helpful and super nice since we walked in the door. The rooms are very spacious and clean, there isn't much they don't have or you can't get from the little store. The Inn offers a pretty nice breakfast buffet, just get there early when the items are fresher. I will stay here again for my next convention.

The lobby and reception area is exceptional - an old bank building. The breakfast buffet was in the safe. From the moment we walked in and were greeted, the service was exceptional. The room was large, well equipped and comfortable. Everyone at breakfast greeted us and asked to be of help. I would definitely stay here again!

Historic old bank building made into a Marriott Hotel. Great lobby... Look up at the ceilings! Very cool. The breakfast area is an old bank vault. Great service. Recommend splurging for the $20 valet service which was quick and handy. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. We would stay here again for sure!

I spent 5 nights here for business earlier this month and found the hotel to be recently renovated. It looks like it used to be a bank, with the old vault still at least partially intact. Breakfast was fine and typical of Residence Inns. While not on a high floor, whig is my preference, I received an upgrade to a one bedroom suite and found my stay to be very confortable. I liked to walk in the evening and find the hotel to be nicely situated and within easy walking distance to a nice park and a... Read more

The hotel is built in an old bank building. They maintained many of the interesting architectural features in the conversion. The hotels location is great. It is just steps from the free CBUS which will take you to most of downtown. The COTA air connect stop is only 1 block away. The staff is great, very accommodating Give this place a try..

We stayed here for nine nights as we were in town for a big international convention. That sort of event is incredibly tiring and so having the Residence to come home to was bliss. We had a one bedroom suite which had masses of space and a full kitchen (including a fridge with an icemaker - heavenly addition in 90 degree heat) The staff at the hotel were all superb and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious and great fun for us English folk because there was something new to try ... Read more

What a great thing to turn an old bank/office building into a hotel. The plans on the wall for the original building were from 1925 from an architectural firm on Park Avenue in New York. Our room was very nice and clean with a good view of many downtown buildings. The lobby is under construction and will be amazing when complete. Breakfast was nice, but a little crowded (probably due to the construction limiting the space available.) Great stay!

The residence Inn in downtown Columbus is right in the heart of all things downtown. This hotel was billed out of an old bank building, and the lobby downstairs is extraordinary. The rooms are nice, and the service is outstanding. At the time, a few of the elevators were out of service, so getting up and down the rooms proved a bit time-consuming, parking is rather limited, so valet is a good choice.

Right in the heart of downtown close to nationwide Arena we thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful hotel that used to be a bank. The service was very good and the building is nicely kept. Our room was a good size suite with refrigerator, microwave, flatware, dishes, coffee pot etc. The valet parking was $20 and you can come and go as you please. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. As a Marriott gold there was no lounge, free breakfast/snacks or water. Everything was for purchase.

1st time stay at this residence Inn, and I most very impressed. The location is in an old bank property in the city and the architecture inside is stellar. Only wish they would do more with the lobby for greater experience. The room itself was above grade for a residence inn. Clean and had a great comfortable bed. Internet was good enough. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty standard fare and the lounge needs some serious upgrading just in presence. The l... Read more

Located on a quiet downtown street that puts you a block from the Capital building. The hotel is in an old bank and they have kept quite a few features of the bank, including putting the breakfast area in the vault. The restaurant is quiet, clean, and within walking distance to lots of places including the arena. Will be staying here the next time I'm in town.

This hotel was a former bank. They have kept the lock boxes and part of the old bank within the lobby. Looking up are soaring ceilings with interesting architecture. The elevators are painted like bank vault doors. Extremely clean and the service was fantastic - Brian at the front desk was super! My room had a full kitchen which I did not need but it was there. comfortable sofa too every... Read more

As other reviewers have mentioned this hotel is in a beautiful old bank, and when the renovations are finished in the lobby it will be a beautiful space. Room was a good size and included a small kitchen, and it was also very useful to have a laundrette in the building rather than very expensive laundry service. Breakfast wasn't great but fine if you're short on time. This is a comfortable and welcoming hotel and I'd happily stay again.

From the minute we met the parking valet, the front desk staff, and walking off the elevator on our floor and running into the cleaning staff, we knew this was a special place. It is crystal clear that customer service is at the top of the training agenda! Everyone was outstanding and went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. The location was perfect and the repurposed bank building is lovely. The rooms are well appointed, quiet, clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Br... Read more

This hotel is really cool. It is in an old bank so the architecture is beautiful and the breakfast bar is in the old vault and they have kept the door on it so that was interesting to look at. Clean room, comfy bed. Had a tiny kitchen but it was perfect for us since we had brought our leftover Thanksgiving food to munch on. We love every Residence Inn we stay in and this one was high on that list.

This is a standard Residence Inn hotel located in a former bank building. The former bank vault has been turned into the hotel breakfast area, which is interesting. There's a lot of construction happening in the lobby as a new restaurant/bar is being built. I'm sure it'll be nice when it's done but in the meantime, the noise if annoying. The rooms are a decent size, clean and updated. This hotel is right downtown, which is convenient.
