The hotel presents itself well. The rooms have been renovated. They are decorated in a contemporary Style. In the bathroom the toilet is very low to the ground. If you have any joint issues you may have difficulty in that area. The bathroom was small but we enjoyed the lit mirror that included a magnifying mirror with in it. Unfortunately the floors and shower stall did not appear to have the grout cleaned very often. The cable channels were limited, but with a plethora of sports channels. The i... Read more

Parking deck on site.... Short walking to many restaurants and attractions including Science Center. Lobby bar is very inviting. Food was very good. Views from the room were great and the room was fit for King in every manner. Extremely clean and plush. The one pitfall was NO FREE INTERNET. Across the street from StarBucks. No noise issues at all. LG HD TV, in warm comfortable rooms. Make this your first choice in Columbus downtown.

It was my first time staying at a Renaissance Hotel this location made me a proud Marriott employee! I've worked for Marriott for about 3 years and utilized my discount and many places and this hotel was PERFECT!! From the valet to the amazing lobby to the perfect renovation! I LOVED the mirror in the bathroom! James at the front desk was amazing! Thank you! I had one hiccup when the parking was charged separately but I asked for my folio at 3:00 AM and I went to my room called guest services an... Read more

We stayed at the Renaissance in April and May for volleyball tournaments at the nearby convention center. The rooms were very clean, had super nice bathrooms, and the beds were extremely comfortable. This hotel is a short taxi ride/Uber ride away from the convention center. I would highly recommend the Reniassance. The only thing I did NOT like was the separate charge for Wifi.

Went to Columbus for volleyball tournament and stayed downtown. This is an excellent facility and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highlights were the lounge and the breakfast buffet which was hot and delicious with many options. The pool was closed but looked great for the summer months.

Stayed here for a trade show. Customer service top notch from beginning to end. Room comfortable; bed comfortable. Newly renovated. Only issue was shower water pressure. Bar and restaurant area are welcoming and comfortable. Concierge area also awesome. Kevin was able to help with dinner options also.

The Renaissance is a Marriott hotel, located a block from the state Capitol building. The rooms are on the small side, and the furniture I my room was a bit shoddy. Still, the bathroom was fine, with a well-designed shower, although no bathtub. Lighting was good, although there were no individual bedside reading lights in my room with two double beds. The desk was well set up, the beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Service was also prompt friendly and efficient. Prices are a bit... Read more

Stayed here during a recent visit to Columbus for a friend's wedding. Loved that I was right downtown and close to almost everything. I was the biggest fan of the fact the only parking that is available is valet and that it's $18/day and $26 for overnight...but I guess for a hotel that is downtown I shouldn't be surprised. Overall my stay was pleasant..all the staff I encountered were pleasant and nice. Also not sure why it says that they offer free WiFi...not true.

Stayed here for almost a week for an event. Was able to walk to nearby convention center and avoided any parking hassles. With nearby North market and other restaurants this hotel is in a great location. Service was great, being a Marriott member I stayed on club level and it was great to be next to concierge lounge every morning for breakfast. Will be back for sure.

Updated hotel in great location with friendly staff. Really enjoyed the room, but unfortunately we were next to the elevator. If we had realized how noisy it would be we would have asked for a different room before unpacking. Very comfortable bed and clean room. Especially enjoyed being at a conference where I could walk out of the meeting spaces and get back to the room in 2 minutes.

Ths hotel was in a perfect location to access public transit, walk to events happening in the city and had a gorgeous pool! My room was immaculate and had the comfiest pillows I have ever used. Everyone on the hotel staff that I interacted with were helpful and friendly, and I never had to look far to find someone to help me when I needed it. I would definitely stay again!

They have made some room upgrades to this property over the last year. Bathrooms are updated with new sinks and counters and new showers with tile and very cool sliding glass doors. This property is located in a good place downtown. Just a short walk to many restaurants. I would highly recommend this Marriott property if you are staying in the area.

Stay at the property on a regular basis along with a few other properties in the area. I continue to be impressed with the Renaissance. While a bit more pricey than some of its neighbors, it is an excellent choice. Very well located in the center of downtown. Extremely clean, large and comfortable rooms. Those of you who have read my reviews of other properties around the world know that I find most beds uncomfortable, but that is not the case here. They are luxurious. Restaurant is solid... This is an incredible hotel! First, the front desk was kind enough to upgrade us to a premium room. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a sweet, just a little larger, with the same incredible view and amenities as most the rooms. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The rooftop pool was amazing! I just don't have enough superlative's to tell you what a fantastic time we had! I called the general manager to thank her personally, something I don't think I've ever done in 40+ years of traveling. Makes... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend, and it was adequate. They try to present it as a luxury hotel, but it's a little shabby for that. Parking is inconvenient if you're not using the valet, and it adds up quickly. We were put in a handicap room, which was fine, but I missed having a tub to soak in. Beds were comfy, although we requested a King they put us in a room with two Queens. We didn't get a chance to use the rooftop pool but had a view of it, and it looked nice. Paid internet was annoyin... Read more
