Embassy Suites Columbus has always been an out of the way night away for my fiancee and mine. It's one of the few hotels that offers smoking suites. With the King Suite's offering ample space with a two room layout with a door to separate the bedroom from the rest of the suite. Rooms have always been clean upon arrival with an overall cleanliness you come to expect from a Hilton brand hotel chain. The layout of the hotel definitely differs from your average local hotel in the way that the center... Read more

There is major construction taking place at this hotel to include jackhammering from morning until early evening. The construction also causes extensive dust in the room. Had I known about this construction I would have stayed elsewhere for this business trip.

I love Embassy Suites but this one was TERRIBLE. We reserved and paid for a NONSMOKING room. I told the front desk staff I am highly allergic to smoke and obviously I'm pregnant, I can't stay in a smoking room. I had to lug my suitcases to THREE different rooms until they actually gave me one!!! I had another worker tell me they just took the ash trays out of the rooms and sprayed febreeze and declared they were "nonsmoking" rooms. Thanks for LYING to me several times. Every time you wa... I reserved a room in April for a 10 day stay from the end of May through early June. I made this reservation over the phone and received an email confirmation. The 2 bed/2 room was excellent for a girl weekend. The space was large enough for a third person to sleep on the sofa or couch if needed. Mini fridge was a plus and the microwave. The hotel was quiet and you couldn't hear the sounds that were occurring outside of the room.

The hotel is undergoing major renovations and I am doubtful it will be that much better when they are done. The front desk staff was inexperienced and inappropriate with banter. The elevator was filled with staff, so many that guests had to wait until after the staff was done (I thought I was a guest, but I was just in the way). Our drinks were served in paper cups (frat-house style), we ate dinner from styrofoam boxes using plastic flatware (food truck style). One person as bartender, waitr... Read more

No hotel guest should be subjected to the filth and garbage in this hotel while it's being renovated, much less be charged $$ for a room. The lobby and entire atrium are under major construction (the atrium is down to bare concrete and planks), there is no barrier hiding the construction work, dust, dirt, supplies, or trash, one of the elevators was filled with construction ladders and out of use. The hotel was under construction, that was not the problem. The problem was that the front desk help was uninterested and unprofessional. I booked this hotel via Hilton Honors with concerns based on the reviews. The Hilton site clearly states the hotel is under renovation and the hotel lobby clearly states they will refund any money if guests choose to cancel. Our room was great and very quiet. Staff was accommodating and breakfast was nice. Construction started around 9am but we were up and leaving. It seems that people just want to complain about something?

The convenience of two rooms, complimentary breakfast, complimentary happy hour, proximity to Ohio State and the Expo Center all make this a wonderful choice when traveling to the Columbus, Ohio area.

The major areas of this hotel are under construction. The breakfast and happy hour are confined to small meeting rooms, guest are crammed in one room. The fitness center is closed, the lobby looks bare and not inviting. I wish they would have told me about the construction before I arrived. Hotel should be shut down until construction is complete.

Although the hotel is under renovation, which I think should be done in the near future, the overall stay was very pleasant. Yes, you had to work around the construction a bit but it was fine. The room was clean and spacious. The made-to-order omelet at breakfast was phenomenal. My 12 year son said it was the best hotel we've ever stayed at.

When booking the hotel it did not state on the website that t was doing renovations. If I would have known that I would have picked another hotel. The contraction was still working at 8 pm. It was loud and inconsiderate. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. I will never stay here again.

I made a reservation at this hotel three weeks before my wife and I were to visit Columbus. I saw the warning that several of the rooms were being renovated and would not be available. Now I have stayed in several Embassy Suites all over North America but when I went to check in, I was very surprised. Yes I saw the email from the Embassy two days before I arrived that said their atrium and restaurant were now being renovated as well. What surprised me was the atrium was now cut off from the lobb... Read more

I have stayed at several Embassy Suites in the USA. This was by far the worst front desk experience. It was necessary to change rooms and the staff person seemed to be unfamiliar with customer service. He acted as though we were disturbing him. The assigned room was on the highway side of the building and road noise was unusually high. The next morning we inquired about ear plugs. One front desk person made a real effort to locate ear plugs; however when he asked. His colleague for assistance... Read more

The Hotel was recently remodeled and looks beautiful. However, the restaurant, bar and lobby were not yet open. They were supposed to open in the next week so the hotel will be very impressive. Staff tried to make everything work the best they could with the disruption. The rooms are remodeled and very comfortable.

I'm a longtime Hilton member and for the Hotel to be newly renovated it was ok. There was a soccer tourney in town and kids were running all over the Hotel, knocking on doors and it was so noisy we went to the downstairs restaurant to get away only to find the kids running around down there.....

We also did not receive our pre-ordered chocolate covered strawberries or our soda we requested ahead of time as requested electronically. Our room had a dirty towel open candy and soda in it from the previous guest. Our breakfast on our last day was extremely cold and we had to request it be heated up. Great experience thanks to Eudy and the housekeeping manager. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. I called ahead and talked to a front desk person that took care of us and made our stay awesome. My wife went to the food area early to get some coffee which is not served early anymore. She ran into the housekeeping manager who made sure she had some coffee and told her to ask for her specifically if she needed anything. Our stay was great.
