I stay a Hilton brand hotels when I travel for work and had come to expect a certain level of quality. This hotel has me reconsidering my loyalty. My first room was great but had serious issues with the shower. The ceiling for the shower leaked when the people upstairs used their shower. The second room I was placed in, to avoid the shower issues was dirty. Hair in the shower indicated the room had not been properly cleaned.

The property is dated. The rooms are tired, but large. It took three tries to get me a suitable room. The first had the stench of potent cleaning products. The second room had a broken air conditioning unit. The views from the third choice were quite nice. It's location to downtown is quite convenient. And the rate was noticeably less expensive than other close by hotels. Also, the staff were uniformly friendly. All-in-all not a terrible experience, the property just needs some significant... I exclusively stay at Hilton properties and I was pretty disappointed by Double Tree. There were three of us in three different rooms. My room wasn't that bad (wasn't great) but the other two people I traveled with were very dissatisfied with the cleanliness of their rooms. My room had a long black hair left in the shower. Another room had a toilet that leaked. Another room had a dirty pillow case. We requested three additional rooms. You think that when they chose new rooms for us, that ... Read more

The Doubletree in Downtonw OH on Front Street is a fairly nice hotel. Accommodations are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly but beware of certain costs. I was extremely disappointed to find out that I was paying for parking daily. The website said "unlimited" parking for $22 but much to my dismay, this is only unlimited for the day. So for my 3 night stay, I paid 3 times that. When I called the hotel about it, they said they cannot do anything about it. Parking is owned by an in... Read more

My room was lovely. Great sitting room with separate bedroom. The bed was very nice. The hotel sits over a parking garage. The hotel doesn't start until like the 8th floor of this building. I was here on business. I drove to this location and wore very comfortable clothing. I felt looked down for my casual attire. While the staff at the downtown Columbus Ohio Doubletree was pleasant, the hotel itself is in bad need of updating and repair. I stayed in one of the "nicest" suites for a week and did not have functioning electric outlets for the entire time, in spite of reporting the issue twice. Housekeeping was erratic and spotty. I was told that I would have to call the restaurant to pick up dirty glasses in the bar as opposed to housekeeping...not my job to do that for what I was paying. Restaurant was sad... Read more

This is a very comfortable suite, modern with amenities. Had a little problem getting cool enough for me, but I didn't ask for any help with it so can't complain. I like room to be 69 or less for sleeping, but it was 72 and pretty much stayed that temp.

Check in was good. The room was large and beautiful. I had no shower head so I had to get it repaired. It took longer than I expected so I missed an engagement. Someone tried to enter my room after midnight because they were given my room. FD called at 1231 to see if I was an occupant... Other than those two things this is a beautiful property in a great location. If it weren't for the tall buildings across the street the views would be great.

We loved the location of this hotel, right across from the Scotio Mile walk and near good restaurants. The room was large and comfortable and the view to the water was lovely. Suggest you be very careful parking outside the hotel - we didn't see the "street cleaning Tuesday 12 am to 4 am" sign and, well, we got to visit the lovely Columbus tow yard (which was very nice, mind you).

I requested a crib when I booked the hotel (3-4 months prior to arrival) and they promised a crib would be delivered. No one mentioned to me until I had to call that the hotel was out of cribs, despite my need for one months ago. I had to call customer service approximately 4-6 times until I got an answer that they were out of cribs. I had to unsafely line up chairs on one side of the bed and sleep on the other so my son could sleep. Shame on this staff and the hotel!

Was here for a wedding. It was any Ok Property, great location. Room was very very spacious, I love the fact that the lobby is on a high floor. My only issues was the property needs some major remolding. The room was clean but still look and felt dirty. The Staff was nice we didn't really stay long enough to have too much interaction really. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the fact that its a really old property was a turn off they need to look into updating the rooms for sure.

No matter what, do not stay here!!My sink wasn't clean (whiskers) for the first TWO days. I tried not to be a fussy female and ignored. On the third day I came back to the room to find someone had used the toilet and didn't flush. It was bad. The Manager promised points, cleaning and a discount. Came back and the bathroom was still dirty. Yuck. I had lost faith by that point. I checked out in the morning for a much cleaner Marriott property. So thankful. I tried to let Hilton fix the problem... Read more

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond level and stay at scores of properties each year. I had 2 rooms for myself and colleagues. The rooms were oversized and clean. The bathrooms were also clean, but seem like they are a bit outdated...i.e. no vent fan, very loud toilet flush. The staff was helpful and professional.

We stayed at this Doubletree while my husband was in town for a convention. The staff was quite friendly & the room was very spacious & comfortable. It was quiet and we slept wonderfully. However, there were a number of housekeeping issues. First, the toilets did not flush well. The third day of the stay, I realized our coffee, tea, sweeteners, etc. were not replenished, nor the hand towels or the washcloths (leaving only one each for two of us). I mentioned it to the front desk. When I returned... Read more

After being on my feet all day, this hotel provided a laid back spa like feel. A bit away from the hustle and grind of the convention Center and bars; but perfect for living the life and then retreating to peace! It all started with a cookie and a smile - and what a cookie it is...I almost bought the tin! The staff did all that they could to make sure that your stay was great, and they succeeded!

Wonderful huge suite with mini kitchen, table & chairs, comfortable beds (uncomfortable sofa sleeper but that's always the case). Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was dated but clean. Suite doors were missing knobs for pulling them closed but that is a minor issue. Great view of the city. A/C in good working order. Good parking but expensive.

Fitness is extremely important to me when traveling for business so I always look for a place with a decent gym. This is incredible. The gym that hotel guests use is an actual health club with absolutely everything one would need. Spinning bikes, stair machines, smith machines, fitness studio, mats... you name it they had it. The guest rooms were really huge and nice and comfortable but man, that fitness center!

Parking was not very ideal and was very expensive. $22/per car for less than 24hrs of park time. It cost us nearly $50 dollars to park to cars for about 18 hours. Wait for elevators was very long for each use due to only having 2 elevators per segment for 2 segments. A required minimum of 4 elevator uses is required every time one leaves the room, goes down to the street for whatever reason, and then comes back to the room. Extremely inconvenient.
