This is a basic no-frills place that makes a good home base for Columbus activities. You wouldn't want to treat it as a vacation resort, but it's a good value if you want an affordable place to stay. Nothing in the room is fancy, but it's all fine and I didn't have any issues with noise or things not working. It's close to I-71, the expo center, and OSU.

Customer service was horrible, the manager acted like he didn't want to be there. The rooms were dirty and the keys never worked. On the website it says there is a cot or rollaway bed available but once there was told they did not offer that and the 5th member of our group had to sleep on the floor. Definitely do not recommend this hotel.

We've been going to Rock on the Range for 5 years and this was by far the most convenient and reasonably priced place we've stayed. We've stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites and the Holiday Inn that are in walking distance of Mapfre Stadium which were nice but not nearly as well priced. We've also stayed downtown and at one of the hotels offered in ROTR's hotel packages. After reading reviews I was a little nervous about booking here but it was $400 cheaper than the Comfort Inn so I figured ... Read more

I coworker gave me tickets to Saturday's ROTR so since we had Wyndham points to use for a free night we searched and found this place knowing nothing other than it was close and offered free breakfast. We arrive and realize how close we are and that we could walk over to the stadium and save the $20 to park and the hours of headaches getting out of the parking lot after the event. Parking at the motel was ridiculous and management let us use one of the spaces reserved for check-in. We get to th... Read more

The staff was very courteous. When we arrived the check in process went smooth - no lines no waiting. The entire staff was attentive to our needs - we even blew a breaker in the room at like midnight & the front desk clerk came in and took care of it within the hour. The cleaning crew made sure we got extra towels. We were there for a concert event happening at the stadium across the street. This hotel was within walking distance & provided us with convenience for the weekend.

Great location for our purpose in town. Polite staff at check in. Marijuana smokers in the stairwells on 4 occasions of our 2 night stays. Floors in room seemed to have not been vacuumed in a while and house keepers kids were running in and out of rooms while they were being cleaned and serviced. Seems counterproductive to the privacy of the people staying in those rooms. Beds were very uncomfortable, we both woke up with back aches both days. This hotel is old and outdated. But looking past that it was nasty dirty. I actually used my own Lysol and cleaned the room. I was afraid to walk on the carpet without shoes. The smoke detector was ripped of the wall sitting on a shelf. We had no safe in the room . Not that I was comfortable leaving anything of value there anyway because sometimes the door wouldn't lock. This was your average dumpy motel. The carpet was stained, the paint job was messy, the bathroom made me change my mind about showering while I was there. Everything about it just felt kind of dirty. I didn't even want to walk around the room without at least some flip flops on. The AC in my room was busted, the security swing lock was loose like someone had tried breaking in before, the room phone wouldn't call the front desk, and during the night one of my keycards stopped working. The only thing good was that the hotel was close to the interstate so we didn't have to search for it. It had a horrible smell when we walked in and wasn't clean. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It must not be a good neighborhood either. We had to do the transaction through a little window with a hole in in...if it hadn't been so late we would have kept driving.

I didn't expect much, and this place is just OK. The pool wasn't open, but I probably wouldn't want to swim there anyway. The breakfast room was small. There were panhandlers in the parking lot. However, the room was quiet, which was great. I've been to many more luxurious hotels where there was lots of noise. In the back on the second floor, we couldn't hear anyone. The room was adequate. We had to ask for more towels, but got them with no trouble. If you don't expect much, This place is OK.

To begin the parking lot is dirty. It is very hard getting into the room, I probably tried at least 10 times using my weight on the door. The second night it wouldn't open at all. I had to go get new keys, it still took many tries to open the door. The first night there was no toilet paper or Kleenex. The towels were on the back of the toilet and thrown on the rack by the sink (hand towels on top of washcloths, in no particular order).

Logistics was the only reason for selecting this motel, but the proximity to the highway is noisy depending on traffic. There was no trash can in the bathroom, a large handle was missing from the dresser, and a brace was broken from the desk and laying behind. In the morning I was greeted by a roach. No roll-aways, No extra blankets, no extra towels my room had 15 flies in it. The breakfast hours posted were 6-10 am showed up at 9:35 am and everything was put away, I asked where the breakfast was and they said it ended at 9:30 am and they forgot to update the those sheets. The final day I went to breakfast at 7 am and the waffle maker was "broke" and the only option was cereal and coffee. It was an overall horrible experience I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with a pulse.

Was close to everything that I did in Columbus, the staff was very friendly, and the bed was really comfortable. I will definitely be coming back here and will be choosing this hotel for my stay in Columbus.

The perfect hotel for those looking for an inexpensive stay near the entertainment of High Street!

Spiders in the rooms, very loud plumbing led to a poor night of sleep. Wifi was slow. Overall a bad experience for the price paid

It was the closest hotel with rooms available the night before the Ohio State/Michigan game. It was fine for the one night stay. Wasn't in the room except to sleep.
