Every staff member I encountered was so friendly, from the front desk, the starbucks, their restaurant and janitors/maids. The rooms were very nice with a great comfortable bed that is easy to fall asleep on. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, baseball and football field is a short distance away.

The only breakfast I could see offered was in room service. It was $15 with a $3 tip and .22 tax. I figured $21. The bill came and it was $31. Why would it double and why was it not stated on the menu? Just beware because it left a sour taste in my mouth for what would have been a high rating. The pool was clean. The location was perfect. The staff was very accomodating. The complimentary shuttle was a great amenity.

With the marathon in town, my preferred hotel was all booked up. That's how I ended up at the Doubletree. I realize it would be unfair to compare The Doubletree to a more upscale hotel and I will try not to do that here. The Good: The check-in staff was very helpful and friendly. An attached high-rise carpark is available on-site for $18 per day. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and in working order. I stayed at the Doubletree Cleveland Downtown / Lakeside hotel for three nights. The hotel is very well located with easy access to and from the highways, but not right next to any of them. It is close to restaurants and the many sports and entertainment venues of the city. Indoor, self-parking, is adjacent to the hotel; there is a parking fee, but that seems to be standard for downtown Cleveland. Check-in took a little longer than expected; there was line, and every time I passed through th... Read more

My family and I spent the holiday weekend at this hotel. It has a nice location, it is right downtown and close to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The rooms were small, but clean and updated. I paid extra for a lake view and it wasn't that great of a view, although I could technically see the lake. We had to pay $18 for parking, but it was a safe garage and I felt comfortable leaving my car there. The best part of the hotel was the free shuttle. Stayed for 2 nights over the Holiday weekend with my wife and 2 daughters age 12 and 9. Hotel did not really seem dated to me, updated décor and flat screen TV. Excellent location for the Rock and Roll hall of Fame and the Science center about a 10 minute walk at most. Great if you have kids as it has a great pool and hot tub area. Really big pool for a downtown hotel. It is a short car or shuttle ride to most nice restaurants. They have shuttle that will take you anywhere within a mile radius.... Read more

I expected more from a downtown Hilton property. The room is becoming a bit worn. Walked into the bathroom to find a dirty shoe print on the floor. When ready to take a shower I noticed there was no shampoo but two bottles of body lotion instead. The room service order menu was used, 2 HBO channels were advertised but didn't work, and the wifi was terribly weak. Lost quite a bit of sleep as I listened to late night conversations in the adjacent room.

The proximity to the Rock And Roll HoF was a key in choosing this hotel. Doubletree Hotels have a high standard and this one was no exception. I would happily stay here again. The facilities are excellent and the hotem staff was top notch.

Hallways are dark and dirty, elevators are disgusting. Charged entirely too much for buffet breakfast for 2 ($40 incl the tip). It's $18 per night to park in the parking garage. Overall I would have expected a much nicer hotel for the cost.

We reserved this room for the Cleveland Marathon because it is close to the finish line. The rooms were nice and walking around to various places in the city was not too bad. The only issue we had was that they were busy and did not have the rooms ready when we arrived to check in. The room was not ready until almost 4pm. And they had many people waiting to check in. I don't think they planned ahead enough to have the rooms ready to go that day.

Location of this hotel makes up for several issues with the age and general tired looking feel of the hotel. This hotel is very nice and is location in a great location. They offer a complimentary shuttle to take you to 4th Street, The Flats, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or other nearby attractions. My only concern with this hotel is that my room has a very fragrant, floral scent. I have stayed in many other Doubletree hotels and have not experienced this before. As someone who is scent-sensitive, this was unfortunate.

As a Hilton Honors member, when my family planned a short trip to Cleveland, we looked for a Hilton property. We chose the Doubletree because of its location, and on that point it did not disappoint. Great location, staff who take their jobs seriously, shuttle service to anywhere you need to go downtown. We were here on the way from Minnesota to Virginia, stopped at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Teenagers ate room service dinner and raved about the food, and we took the shuttle to 4th Street to find a place for dinner. To me the shuttle alone justifies the room rate. Great service!
