cooking smells in the hall. Not sure if the suites have exhaust fans, if they do, they are not strong enough or filters need cleaning. Shampoo no conditioner in rm.

My husband and I stopped here on our trip from Nashville to Pittsburgh and then again a week later on our return home. We chose this hotel based on reviews and were happy to find them to be true - especially the cleanliness and staff friendliness. We had easy checkin and checkout! The complimentary breakfast and fresh-baked cookies in the lobby were great. We will definitely stay here on our next trip!

Our family of mom, dad, and 5 kids (ages 10 and down) enjoyed our stay. We were there three nights and did quite well. We stars in a king suite with a bedroom and it worked well. We put the kids in the king bed, closed the door, and found the foldout sofa to be quite comfortable. Good breakfast and Internet.

The elevator has this obsession with the second floor. Someone was cooking potatoes and curry in his room, and the smell permeated the hall. Hopefully, future guests will cook bacon or cinnamon rolls. I appreciate the coffee mugs and real glasses. Please tell your direction - finder that we turn on Dowlin, not Prince Lane.

Quiet hotel. We had a studio and really enjoyed full size fridge. Breakfasts were just okay. If you have gluten issues, diabetic, or trying to eat right-not too many choices. Staff was very nice. Internet very slow.

We had a one bedroom suite and we thoroughly enjoyed all the space! The hotel is in a quiet location, so we weren't woken up by traffic noise, like happens in so many hotel stays. Pros: The bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot, the kitchen had everything we needed; including an ice maker in the full size refrigerator (we went to a grocery store and purchased food to make in our room), the front desk person was very friendly and helpful, there were plenty of towels and pillows, the Inte... We arrived after sitting for 2 hours in a traffic jam on I-71. The woman at the front desk (Jeni?) greeted us warmly and was so cheerful and friendly that we forgot how hot and tired we were. We got a little gift bag with water and candy, which was a nice touch, and a map to local stores and restaurants. Our suite was spacious and spotless, with all the amenities. Only complaint was that the easy chair was very worn. Very dog-friendly, with a big exercise area and poop bags provided. Bed wa... Read more

Made a last minute decision to get away for the weekend and was so glad to come across this hotel. After reading reviews and liking the price we decided to book. Had a great weekend. Very happy with the staff. Impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel. Room was large. Comfortable bed. Very hot water! We knew we made a good choice when we pulled up to well cared for landscaping. First impressions mean everything and this staff definetly understands that. Clean inside and out!! Will return!... Read more

We had a nice overnight stay on our way to Kentucky. The hotel was clean, the pool was fun, and the breakfast was really good. The room had a bit of a musty smell that I think was coming from the air conditioner. We did find it a bit difficult to get the temperature right in the room - but overall the stay was good. It was nice to have a refrigerator with an ice machine!

We traveled for two months this summer throughout the northeast US. Finding hotels is not a challenge but you never know what you're going to get upon arrival. Part of our travels were in the Ohio area where we stayed at Hawthorn Suites. Hawthorn was about the same price as Extended Stay but it was a cleaner and friendlier experience. They also have unlimited cookies in the lobby area ;-). The other big plus for us was the breakfast. With a family of five, it was a huge blessing to be able to h... Read more

This hotel was nice. We are spoiled an like the larger suite type rooms with kitchen appliances available. Our room was clean and well appointed. Plenty of room for my family of 3. Staff was friendly and even let us have an early check in. Cleaning staff was always busy cleaning carpets in the breakfast area or wiping and dusting in the lobby in the afternoon when we were coming and going. Free breakfast was good. The hotel is hard to find (use GPS) but I'm glad to report Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Cincinnati is still clean and looked to be bedbug free after visual examination. I would still recommend. It's nice to know somethings DO stay the same!! There is a Ruby Tuesday restaurant close by which has a salad bar and a nice variety of entrees. It's good for lunch or dinner.

My stay at the Hawthorn Suites was really wonderful. I was in town for the Cincinnati Music Festival. The room was very clean and large. The staff was friendly, nice and professional. The hotel was well-maintained and clean. The hotel was close to the highway thereby making the trip to downtown Cincinnati a real breeze. Most importantly, I felt really safe there. Thanks Hawthorn for a great stay!!!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel and were very pleased with the outside appearance, but quickly became disenchanted with our experience when we encountered the staff at this hotel. We waited for almost 1 hr after breakfast was supposed to be served before the food finally came out, and I must say that we were not pleased with the meat items that seemed to spongy and raw as well as the fruit items that ran out quickly and their staff was slow to bring out additional items. Typically, I don't mind lousy decor if I'm staying in an economical place. But the Econolodge I stayed at outside Pittsburgh was half the price and had a much better aesthetic. I swear that this must have been a senior citizens home: slow, very large elevator (to fit wheelchairs, no doubt), wide hallways, full kitchen en suite, and, worst of all, the most corporate and inoffensive beiges and browns money can buy.. Was it clean and comfortable? Yes. No problems there. But I felt like I was in an... Read more

I was really impressed with what this hotel offered for the price. The breakfast wasn't edible, but the room was huge, very nice, and included a full kitchen. Even though it was adjacent to a number of other similar-level hotels, it was significantly less expensive. Additionally, the staff was very nice. I would definitely consider staying here next time in the area.

We stayed here for a night while we traveled to Tennessee. We had two small children with us. Overall it was a very nice hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negatives I could say about it was they charge you ten bucks for a crib and the breakfast was not very good at all. Other than that, I would recommend a stay here if you are in the Cincy area.

Located on Travel Advisor and reserved through the site. Found the hotel to be very clean and inviting. Front desk team was very good and friendly. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was a suite with full kitchen and sitting area. Large screen tv was on a swivel and viewable from around the room. Bed very comfortable and pillows soft and comfy. Pool area looked clean and well taken care of. Breakfast good and filling. Coffee always available. Good place to stay.

How was my stay? You tell me. TV didn't work but blue screen was permanently 'on' so had to unplug. 2 foot long black hairs hanging on the (freshly washed?) shower curtain. Individual charges to my credit card for each day all made on the check-in day. And all they could say is 'I'm sorry."

PROS: Good, older property, security conscious with helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and clean with full kitchenette complete with dishwasher. Bathroom is pretty large. There's a laundry room on the first floor. Internet was reliable, breakfast was basic. CONS: Dated furnishings, sometimes feels a bit musty. TV cable was a bit shaky. I'd give this hotel more of a 3.75, I'd stay here again in a pinch.

This is very convenient to I75 and I275 on the north side of Cincinnati. And best of all if is in a very quiet location. I only spent one night here but would definitely stay again when plans call for me to go to Cincinnati. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast included the usual and was better than most. And the price was on the low end of nearby comparable hotels. A very good choice.
