Only complaint, the AC was so loud it woke us every time it kicked in. Nice bed, just not rested because of the AC. Breakfast was ok. Bread dried out. No bacon. I like ice tea. 4 jugs of coffee and no tea. Pancakes were great. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Very clean.

This room was a double queen; very spacious, clean, sleek and modern. Staff was very pleasant. Like other travelers, we were disappointed that the pool was out of service; however, that certainly wouldn't prevent me from staying here again. We left too early in the morning for the breakfast so I can't comment on that. No in-room safe. Very pretty lobby.

Hotel looked like it had been updated. Was clean inside. Staff was friendly. When I arrived at my room it looked very nice, but smells musty and bath was smelling like pee. We didn't say anything cause we were tired. After turning A/C on musty smell was gone, but not in bathroom. I think in just needs some bleach. Breakfast was good. Oh bed and pillows very comfortable.

The motel was well decorated, appeared to be clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The area surrounding the motel appeared a little run down. The breakfast was good the attendant was very conscientious, keeping the bar stocked and breakfast area clean.

This is a very straightforward mid-level chain hotel - which is exactly what a group of us needed for a several night stay while attending the famous OAC Hopewell archaeology conference! Friendly helpful young staff, clean serviceable interior, good breakfast, comfortable rooms n beds...exterior isn't much but this is not exactly an award winning area of ole' Chilli. I found the room to be quiet, AC worked well, and the décor appropriate and not run down, and the cost within the general range ... Read more

The coffee pot was a fire hazard. The clerk didn't have another one to replace it, so I fixed it and then left it unplugged. Strike one. When I checked in I ask for a quiet room to sleep in because I was exhausted. LOL, looked out the window, at the roof of the pool BTW, I was looking at not only a truck stop but also a huge line of trucks. I suppose this was for my wake-up call ;) , strike 2 There were 4 children there who ran the halls all night long, actually it was only until 1:37 in the mor... Read more

I made reservations with a lady on site a month in advance. I asked for a Senior discount which she gave me and I repeated the price she quoted for that day. She gave me a confirmation number. When I arrived I was signing check in and discovered the price had went up $56 before taxes over what I had been told. I was very shocked; the young man (not his fault!) said he would get his supervisor. She came to desk and said that prices changed day to day and could not be guarenteed; .that corpora... Read more

Typical room for Holiday Inn Express - comfortable, quiet. Breakfast service was unacceptable. On Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend, one staff person was responsible for manning the front desk, refilling breakfast items, and cleaning the breakfast room. People were waiting for 10 minutes for refills on milk, sausage gravy, cinnamon rolls and ? I asked the desk manager/server/janitor if she always had to hold down all 3 jobs alone. She said, no, only on weekends. For this Holiday Inn charg... Read more

Typical Holiday Inn Express. Very new, very clean, standard breakfast. Why $155 a night? Most expensive Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. Absolutely no reason to chage so mush. Had I not been tired after driving 12 hours would have told them to keep it.

Nice hotel. It's new, so everything is clean and pretty. The front desk people were friendly. It's always nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room and the king-sized bed was great. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a Holiday Inn Express. There were two people working the breakfast area and we never ran out of anything. I wish I could have snagged a hotter cinnamon roll, but I'll get over it! We would definitely stay here the next time we're in the area.

The Holiday Inn was a pleasant and convenient base for visiting Hopwell Mounds and exploring Chillicothe. The young woman who checked us on was friendly and knowledgeable about Tecumseh Historical Drama as well as local restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and the linens were good. The breakfast bar was varied and kept clean and constantly freshly stocked by a helpful and efficient server.

We were in town for a conference a day early and the Hampton Inn was sold out so they referred us to the Holiday Inn. I thought it would be sketchy after reading some of the reviews on here but I ended liking it better than the Hampton Inn! Microwave and refrigerator in every room! Very clean! Would stay here again anytime! Staff was very attentive and courteous and breakfast was great! Had a great night here!

Clean, friendly, nice hotel...but the bed was a bit firm. Did include a nice breakfast buffet in the morning. We were able to find some discount rates that helped out on the price. This was an easy off, easy on from the main highway.

Very nice and clean hotel in a small town in the middle of Ohio. Delicious breakfast, they were very lenient with check-out times, and they didnt mind that we needed to hang around the lobby for a few hours until our meeting. Great beds, good service, and nice decor.

They had a dryer break down so we couldn't get in the rooms until later but the staff was hustling their butts off to get everything ready. The room has nice decor but the tv remote didn't work, a lamp was burnt out, the sink backed up, there was hair in the tub (before I used it) and hair on the task chair. ??

I have always stayed at Hilton Garden Inn but never again...I like this much better...and it is a better value, to boot! Friendly staff, clean convenient rooms and a nice Frequent Stay program. I will start staying at Holiday Inn Express from now on due to the recent advertising policies of HGI.

I have been coming to this hotel for 3 years. I was ambushed with a 70%+ rate increase over what I had been paying. I am a Spire Elite member, so I stay in way too many hotels. I have never paid that much at an airport HIE property, much less Chillicothe, Ohio. Not real happy, to say the least.

My first impression of this hotel was good. The room was clean and everything was in working order. However, the bathroom shower was in need of repair. The wallpaper surrounding the shower had started to peel and mildew had started gathering where it was turning up. Water pressure was lacking to say the least. It took me 10 minutes to get the shampoo rinsed out of my hair. The pool area was nice, but there were no towels (we had to use the ones provided in our room). Although the staff checked ... My husband and I stayed overnight at the HIE Chillicothe to avoid a late night drive home after watching the outdoor drama Tecumseh. It is a newer hotel located in a, what appears to be a, truck stop location. The desk clerk Sydney, was very nice and quickly checked us in and gave us our room keys. On our way out of the room, housekeeping asked if our room met our standards and was also very friendly. We returned late after the show. The next morning we sat down to eat the included breakfast... The room was neat and clean. Staff all professional. Beds were quite comfortable and AC was quiet. The only thing that would keep me from recommending this wholeheartedly is the price. For a HIE in a little town, it was unusually expensive. Even the AAA rate only knocked off about $8. It wasn't full the day we stopped, not a big surprise.

To begin with, I do not recommend calling the number where people book your room over the phone. We did this and got to the hotel and the people who were there told us they were sold out before our room was ever booked. Now, this is not a reflection on this particular hotel because they worked with us and made sure we got a room from a different guest that didn't show up. So I give them extreme respect for helping us out! The room was nice and clean and breakfast was pretty typical, but great.

Husband, two kids and I stayed here one night while working in the area. My husband checked-in; he said it was an easy enough process. The decor of the hotel is a bit gaudy, but that's really no big deal. Room cleanliness was OK. I noticed that around the beds hadn't been vacuumed particularly well. Bathroom floor, countertop, shower and toilet were cleaned properly. This is by no means luxury, but it is adequate while visiting the Chillicothe area.

Beds very comfy. The am breakfast was so good, and I normally don't like them at all. Very clean and food wad really good. The gal runnning it was very nice, helpful and kept t... Read more

Wonderful hotel! No reservation and we pulled in about 9 pm on a Saturday night and were swiftly taken care of. The guy at the desk was very friendly and helpful (we had to ask for directions to a store too). Nice pool and great breakfast. The kuerig in the room was a very welcome site! Clean and comfortable I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay.

Last week I was traveling with my family, and we found ourselves in Chillicothe. This was the first time in the area, so we wasn't sure where any hotels were at the time. While driving we came across The Holiday Inn Express, so we stopped to check the place out.
