My boyfriend and I thought it would be great to just take off for a night. We sent to Athens, Ohio. Our hotel accommodations were above and beyond anything we could've ever expected. Our took was impecable, the staff was friendly and courteous...but, the best part of our stay was despite the fact the hotel was booked solid...it was peaceful. It felt like we were the only ones there. It was definitely a great get sway.

We spent a very pleasant night here while en route to North Carolina. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The king size bed in our room was very comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the room at the right temperature. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. We didn't eat at the free breakfast, but it looked very nice. We had a very positive experience here.

Good location in the Athens area . Very Friendly staff . Hotel overall was very clean and well kept . Have stayed at the Holiday Inn express down the street and must say the Hampton is a step up ! We came for a quick getaway and would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I booked a last minute night because her rental house was uninhabitable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I was in and out several times that day and each time the desk clerk was sure to greet me.

This hotel is good but too expensive. The hotel also took my parent`s payment online but did not mention that a credit-card authorization form was required. Had my parent not been able to scan and send the authorization that night, I would`ve been out of luck...

4 members of our near and extended family all died in a traffic accident recently. Other than those people in the accident, none of us lived anywhere near Athens. But we all go there and most of us stayed at the Hampton. I personally had to arrange for rooms for multiple persons coming and changing the duration of stays. The front desk staff is easily the best I have ever dealt with and I have been to London, Paris, New York, Amsterdam, Rome, etc. They never made me feel like I was annoying. I c... Read more

People stay at Hampton Inn because it is fairly consistent throughout the United States. This one is no different. Room was clean, everything worked. They even served bagel toppers which is my favorite. I found the staff to be courteous but not extremely friendly. Must be the nature of people in Ohio.

We like the Hampton Inn in Athens. We appreciate the variety at breakfast time, the hot chocolate chip cookies in the evening and the different variety of fresh water they offered each evening. (oranges and mint; strawberries, lemon and mint; blueberries and lemon etc.)

The hotel was clean. The staff was professional, effiiicient and polite. Breakfast was good with the usual selections but everything was fresh with adequate quantities. We paid a modest amount and received excellent value. We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Athens, OH.

Stayed two nights on business and was very pleased with the staff (Hannah at the front desk was super patient and helpful) as well as the facility. I also enjoyed the area, the walking trail across the street was perfect for some outdoor exercise. Breakfast was good, parking was plentiful, we walked over to Texas Roadhouse for dinner which was convenient. There is also a barbecue place in the little mall right behind Texas Roadhouse - worth a stop!

The hotel was wonderful!! Everything was great! They had many extras that we didn't expect. We appreciated that as we were traveling there for a tournament with our daughters. They loved the pool. Although it was a very loud. But overall an amazing stay.

We stayed for our kid's college orientation--this was our second time at the Athens Hampton Inn and we will be back! They upgraded our room, are very clean and the hotel was quiet, and the complimentary breakfast was great. The cookies and coffee in the lobby were a nice touch.

It was a nice place for a one night stay. It was very close to OU. Nice people. Coffee was not hot at breakfast. However the check in and out was FAST. The room was very clean. It had a fridge and microwave too. Lots of places to eat close by and even a Krogers with a Starbucks in it. I'd go again for sure. Great for families. Easy parking and in and out location.

Fellow Motorcyclists, find A different hotel. Parking lot is on a grade. We returned to the hotel after a local show about midnight and opted to leave the bikes (2 of them) off to the side under the entrance canopy because it was the best available flat spot and 99.9% of the time it isn't an issue. Apparently, here it is. Katie the night clerk woke us at 1am to tell us we had to move the bikes as we were blocking the fire lane. It is not a fire lane. It is not marked as a fire lane. I would like to single out Hannah who made the day with her positive outlook and popcorn she made us all to eat while we watched the show. That was truly above the call of duty!

Nice solid hotel, in town with limited options. Could use a refresh though, hopefully recent Marriott additions Spurs some remodeling. However location is good, close to downtown and good sports bar down hill you can walk to. Also short drive to downtown with more dining options.

The hotel is well maintained and perfect for staying with kids. The room was big enough that it easily accommodated myself, my husband and our two small kids. The beds were comfy and the room was quiet so we all slept well. The breakfast was also the best we experienced during our trip. They had the usual continental offerings but the French toast sticks put them over the top. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

The quality of the room and bed was excellent and the price was OK for us for a family of 4, however it would be too pricey if I were travelling by myself. The hotel overall is very nice and convenient location with many dining options nearby. We were there for a swim meet at OU and it would have helped if they had provided late checkout at 2:00pm, so that our daughters could shower after the meet; however, they only offered 1:00pm.

We showed up to the hotel at approximately 6 p.m. and were told by the ladies at the front desk that several hours before my arrival, their manager, Christine, had allowed someone to check into my room based on that person advising that their father had the same name as me. They allowed someone to check into my room without proper identification or credit card information. The hotel eventually removed their items from my room and cleaned the room up. We were in room 318 which is right over the entrance. We were in a HA room which was larger and clean. The hotel was ok but for a Hampton Inn but usually you get more with a Hampton stay. The major problem was the outside speaker with loud music can be heard in this room. When I noticed it around 7PM I called the front desk and they turned the music off.
