Will not stay there again. We had problems with check in and our room was not ready at check-in time. I cleaned our dirty bathroom door myself. There is no coffee available in lobby other than in the morning when breakfast is served. The breakfast and the service with breakfast is excellent but is an extra charge. It is about the closest hotel to the university so that is what it has going for it. Also there is a train track close but that was not too loud.

This MOTEL is located near almost anywhere you would want to venture to. From North Dakota State University, a beautiful Park, great shopping, and excellent restaurants. The area Dining is wonderful, and the City is clean and safe to be out and about in. I highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn of Grand Forks for your next stay in Grand Forks.

Everything was fine with room quality, housekeeping, etc., but they get overwhelmed easily at breakfast. Food was average (scrambled eggs from a carton, not individual eggs, and the wait was crazy-long to get the food.

Only complaint is not having the entire wedding party on one floor. They guarantee a number of rooms available but, not that they are near each other. The issue wasn't able to be resolved but, every other aspect of the stay was wonderful. The beds were super comfy.

I was a little disappointed in the overall service. The atmosphere when we arrived and during check in seemed a bit standoffish and I was disappointed to go down the next morning to see we had to either pay $11 for breakfast or buy a bagel or muffin as an ala carte item. I would think a hotel of that stature would serve some sort of continental breakfast.

Hotel is near the interstate and next to the UND campus. There is an above ground tunnel from the hotel to the campus and a person can walk from one building to another via the above ground tunnels. The staff was very friendly and helpful in telling us how to get to the local hospital to visit a sick family member.

I was returning after a week in Canada fishing and decided to spend a day in Grand Forks before flying back to AZ. I decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn as it had a everything I would need and not have to leave the hotel. The stay was great, the young staff of college students all went above and beyond to help me with anything I was looking for and made me feel right at home. Food was great, and the hotel was very quiet. Was a relaxing stay before heading back to the heat in AZ....

This hotel is in a good location if you need to be at the University of North Dakota. there's not much around here, so you will have to get in your car to get meals. It has a nice breakfast. It's a very pleasant place to stay for a business traveler who needs a good night's sleep.

This is great hotel. My room was clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was very reasonably priced. The complimentary WiFi was sufficient for basic e-mail applications and surfing the web. The hotel is also conveniently located adjacent to the University of North Dakota campus. Other restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the hotel. My experience with the gym, however, was somewhat negative. The treadmill I used was noisy and in need of service. I have had this experience ... Read more

Spent a couple of days here and from the start was warmly welcomed by Reception staff. Usual high HGI standards, with large room and all facilities, free wifi, Business Center, pool, fitness gym etc. Spotlessly clean. Incredibly comfortable bed and good, quiet sleep. Pleasant small restaurant off the lobby, serving excellent breakfasts at reasonable rates. Dinner also served from 5pm, with a chef who knows what he's doing. This town has a lack of quality hotels so I was super excited to actually find a Hilton. This Hilton did not disappoint, the guy who checked me in was unbelievable and quick, he was with a guest when I arrived and that guest had 2 cell phones going and was trying to fix their family over booking issues and he was so patient and dealt with them and all their Hilton honors points like a pro. We stayed at the GFK Garden Hilton since we are working with the UND on a project. The staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfasts were cooked to order, and again the staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. Being connected directly to the UND facility is a real convenience. Additionally, since severe weather was in the area during our visit, the staff ushered us to an interior conference room to keep us safe while the tornado threat was active.
