This hotels rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and I really loved the different kinds of pillows they provided. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we really liked sitting out there and watching the waves in the ocean. The front office staff were so nice, especially the man who met us at the front door and helped us with our luggage. We used the indoor pool every night, and there were plenty of towels and chairs provide. I am looking forward to staying here again!

Hotel has an amazing location and that is what you are paying for.... it is not a 'nice' hotel in the rooms. They aren't bad - but more of a 2.5-3 star hotel. The a/c unit was very loud and woke me up everytime it came on. The hotel room was clean and the view was amazing, but not worth the over $300 price we paid. The beach is gorgeous and the resort pools and chairs are definitely very nice. We won't be back though - for the price it is better to stay off the beach and drive in for the ... Read more

Upon entering, walking up the grand staircase, past the bronze wall mounted Dolphins, you know you have reached a beautiful beach resort! The staff and management are warm & friendly. Great amenities and beautiful beach setting. This hotel has been our vacation spot for almost 20 years!

Loved bring right in the beach- jump into the cold ocean, jump into the hot tub. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Rent bikes- really nice bikes- and go everywhere. We never were in our rooms. Nice staff! They watched our stuff while we organized. Pickup at airport was so convenient- it was as if we were staying with old friends who picked us up, helped make us comfortable, and really cared.

You might expect great food, views and staff at most 5-star hotels but you get it here, too. Every staff member goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and I dare you to eat all your well-prepared food in the hotel dining room while you watch the waves crash on the white-sand beach. I recommend the venue for both business and family outings. Go to the Sanctuary at Kiawah if you want a slightly higher-level experience at 5 times the cost.

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Wrightsville Beach. It was actually a surprise that we were able to book a room because we waited until Thursday afternoon at 3:00 PM to book before Memorial Day weekend. We got one of the final available rooms. I will note that we paid nothing for our stay because we redeemed Rewards Clubs points for our stay. Upon arriving at the property you will be greeted by a parking lot attendant. I must emphasize that this is not your typical HI . Excellent location, oceanfront rooms ,pools ,beach and food . From the time you arrive the staff makes you feel like you're home, from the bell captain, front desk personal, pool attendees and pool and restaurant servers . Great to excellent is their motto. Even have a great children's activities program along with a pool side movie night with fresh popped popcorn. Food is very good right there at the resort .

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort in Wrightsville Beach several times during the previous 10 years. During our dating years, married years and now as parents. Our child loves the indoor and outdoor pools. Let me start by saying I am an experienced traveler having stayed in resorts throughout the US and Caribbean. I believe many of the 5 stars reviews for this property are more attributed to the quality of time the traveler spent at the property rather than the property itself. If this hotel is a 5 star, than what rating can you give those truly 5 star hotels around the world? This hotel is not a true resort. Resorts typically have valet parking, more shopping, higher quality restaurants and fu... Read more

This is a Wrightsville Beach ocean front property. You walk out the hotel doors to the pool and then to the beach. We stopped here for an overnight on our way down the East Coast. We arrived about an hour and a half before sunset, checked in and hit the beach for walking. The sunset was amazing. We prefer to eat outdoors on their deck on a nice day. I like their calamari appetizer. You overlook their outdoor pool and ocean. Reasonable prices. Tables are not crowded together. Take note of the fine wires strung outside from upper floors. I asked what they are there for. Waitress said....so you can zip line into the pool. ??. She then winked, because I appeared gullible.

Looking for direct beach access, large outdoor (and indoor) pool and great food, then this is the place for you. I consider this destination a mini resort - all the activities and accolades of a full resort - just on a very small scale. PROS: Get the ocean-side view with a high level floor and sleep with the balcony door open (hear the waves calling?). If you have a larger party, opt for the suites at the ends of each floor, or the larger rooms in the dead center. Oceans, which is their on... Read more

Took my mom here for a vacay with my two boys. She's disabled and the hotel was very accessible. Lifts for the pools and hot tubs. Plenty of fast elevators. The beach entrances weren't wheelchair accessible but that's pretty common. I wasn't surprised, but it might've been nice. Wifi was very good and the hotel restaurants were good. Not too expensive, all things considered. Would bring my mom and kids back here again.

Weather changed on us as we arrived in town and got cold but the indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs kept the kids happy. Clean rooms with great ocean views. Brock the shuttle driver was a great guy. Eleven in our group, he took us down to Tower 7 for dinner and was back to pick us up within minutes of calling when we were ready to leave. Did not eat on site of the hotel but highly recommend Tower 7 for lunch or dinner and Cafe Del Mar for breakfast.

Took the family to the beach for the first time and what a great time we had! The accommodations at the resort were fantastic! Our rooms were on the ocean side with terrific views at sunrise and sunset. The staff we're hospitable and eager to make our stay enjoyable. We ride bikes into Wilmington, walked on the beach, enjoyed breakfasts on the lanai, and ate at a view really good restaurants.
