Spacious rooms, great staff, excellent location, easy stay for dogs. I stay at this La Quinta several times a year and am never disappointed. The furnishings are getting somewhat worn now, but it is still my favorite hotel in the area.

Stayed here one night on 5/14/16. This La Quinta is way over priced for how out dated it is. The room was no more than a standard motel room and smelled musty. The so called pull out sofa bed was no more than a small love seat with a pull out cot. The king size mattress was worn out. We paid $252 after taxes, but it was really only worth half that at the most. Only positive was it seemed clean.

The location is right of I40 which is a main interstate to everywhere. We checking in earlier than planned and the room was ready. We travel with a small dog and the staff was very welcoming. The room and bathroom was large and impeccably clean. The breakfast was standard and the coffee cups were small and never a lid to be found. They only complaint I would say is that the price changed for a Thursday/Friday. We were staying 3 nights starting on a Tuesday. We choose to check out early and conti... Read more

Hotel is okay, the rooms are clean and spacious. The location is excellent, close to large mall, restaurants, interstate. The front desk staff are polite and efficient. HOWEVER, do not remotely try to have a peaceful or quiet morning. The housekeeping staff are unprofessional and frankly, stupid. The morning of the second day I was supposed to stay there two of them stood outside of my door and had a howling hooting conversation to the top of their lungs, then one of them obviously spied someone... We've used the La Quinta several times for dog-related events in the Winston-Salem area. The staff are very accomodating & rates are reasonable. The location is close to quite a few restaurants & shopping areas...something for everyone!

We were just looking for a place to stay overnight and this was a good place to stay. It is a very nice hotel, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was very accommodating and nice. Even when I called the next day and had a question about my bill. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the finest Hotel for the price range my wife and I have stayed in. The staff is extremely courteous and the breakfast was outstanding. The location is great for going to places such as Old Salem or to Hanes mall stores and restaurants. It is also very convenient t o go to the Winston Salem Country Club.

This was our first stay at a LaQuinta, and first visit to the Winston-Salem area--have to say we were impressed overall. I read the mixed reviews before making reservations and decided to go for it--glad I did, as our room and stay were nothing short of great! For the price (we used military rate), this was a terrific hotel. Our room was clean and more importantly, quiet the three nights we stayed. We were impressed by the fact there were restaurants within walking distance--hotel provides c... Read more

We just stayed here and the best I can say is the hotel pool is good sized and it is close to the village tavern ( amazing food and service). It is not just a "dog friendly" hotel, but more like a "kennel" as my husband worded it. Dogs on every floor ( we requested a non pet room due to allergies) and the front desk associate informed us that all floors and room are "dog friendly". As soon as we walked into our 2nd floor room, we could tell by the smell of some strong cleaning agent and when th... Read more

We needed a place to stay for almost 2 weeks because our house sold and our new house wasn't quite ready. All the staff, housecleaning and front desk were exceptionally kind and considerate. The garden path with gazebo were a lovely addition. We had a nice continental breakfast to start the day, which they served earlier than usual, great for me for I'm early to work. But one of my favorite they welcomed my dog, sassy. Thank you LaQuinta.

Efficient, friendly front desk personnel! Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Super excited they are pet-friendly!!! Our visit to Winston-Salem was short and unexpected and our choice of hotel was random. Overall we were happy with our choice and will stay at the hotel again should the need arise and will try this chain in other cities as well.

This property is located next to a really good restaurant and in a safe area with a lot of things around so you don't have to worry about it being a bad part of town. I like and recommend LaQuinta properties because they are a good value for your money and this one was pretty much on par with the others. There are some things they need to improve (staff welcome upon arrival) but other things which are similar to other stays I've had (friendliness of checkout) at other locations.

Another wonderful LaQuinta Inn experience. Rooms are clean and updated, the place is pet friendly with a designated grass pet area with complimentary bags and trash can for easy pick up. Had a great stay at La Quinta. Room was clean, staff was friendly and I felt safe. The pool was adequate, only went swimming the one night. Breakfast had mostly simple items, however they did have a waffle machine. No eggs, but there was yogurt, bread and some fruit options. Overall it was a good stay. We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Old Salem and the fact that it was dog friendly. Staff was VERY polite, friendly and efficient, from the front desk to the breakfast service to the maids. The room was spacious and clean, although the bathroom was somewhat grungy in the corners. Just old caulking, I think. There's a nice dog-walking area behind the hotel. The only negative was the pool: it's closed for service, but I imagine that won't be the case for long. This was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in! Loved being lazy on this bed all evening on our way to driving to the ocean. The room was clean, big and there are many places to eat or grab a drink nearby. The area did have quite a few people asking for money, which makes me question safety after dark especially. But it seemed innocent enough. There is a fitness center that looked nice but it was too busy to use.

Best thing about this hotel is its location, and 24 hour good coffee in the lobby. Otherwise, just average, no special features. Lock on the door to the room worked opposite to any I've seen before, must pull up instead of down, No working lock on the bathroom door, complimentary breakfast bare bones, etc. My advice, after paying $92, for such mediocracy, is to pay a few dollars more and go to a better hotel.

We travel with dogs and stay at LQ whenever possible, so I don't generally review them. This hotel is the old style LQ and doesn't have green space nearby for walking dogs. It's pretty average for LQs - clean and comfortable. What distinguishes it, however, is the staff.
