We had a great time at this Hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was very accommodating, the dining room was open for breakfast and dinner and the catered banquet dinner was superb. It is definitely a hotel that I would return to.

So this Holiday Inn Express had a very good location for me in that I was close to downtown and a couple of the other locations that I needed to travel to for business. They also provided a free shuttle to and from the airport if needed. They also offered a free drink of your choice for each day that you stayed, which was a nice little extra as well as having the breakfast buffet and the typical weight room/swimming pool areas. One of the other features that I used was the washer and dryer that ... Read more

I just had the best experience thanks to Divina! My room wasn't ready when I arrived but she made sure I was still taken care of. She arranged a complimentary shuttle for me and even gave me a coupon for a free appetizer at the restaurant she recommended!

Don't really have much to say about the visit, the place was nice. But one of the employees there stole my laptop! First they told me they put it in the safe so nothing would happen to it, then told me they could not find it and would contact nobody ever did. When I finally got a manager on the phone a week ago, they informed me that they could not find it at all! HORRIBLE

The staff at this hotel was top notch when we stayed there. We were there for a soccer tournament and were treated so well. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to provide a good experience. Divina at the desk was such a great help!!!

Hotel is clean and comfortable, hotel staff were very accommodating, it's little far away from downtown Wilmington, about a 10 minutes drive if you want to see the downtown area which is where you can board the Trolley for the City Tour.

I stayed here with my boyfriend back in May when we took a trip to Wilmington. I used point for a portion of the stay, but I felt I got my money's worth out of what I paid. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The location was ideal -- about halfway between downtown and Wrightsville Beach. Will definitely consider staying here again if I'm headed to Wilmington.

I was traveling through North Carolina and Tennessee with my two children. A barely 1-year-old and a 5 1/2-year-old. We were on our eighth day of this journey when we checked into the Holiday Inn. We were welcomed by Divina Robinson at the front desk. She was a sight for sore eyes. A giant smile and the willingness to help my family and I. As I was trying to balance an infant and all of our luggage at the same time, she stepped in and provided an over the top helping hand! A+ for service, amen... Read more

We were spending the night here to catch our flight out early in the morning after spending a week in Myrtle Beach. It was the most expensive hotel and had good ratings so we felt we didn't have to worry. We checked in around 7, and our first room smelled so bad like cigarettes we immediately went back down to the front desk. After waiting in line for 20 minutes the front desk person was very friendly and gave us another room. We dragged all of our stuff, including our 2 young boys, up to the se... Read more

At Beginning I reserved only one day, once got into the hotel, really love the location and room size. So extended a whole week, the room is clean and spacious with refrig and microwave. It also has a full size sofa and desk, perfect for me and my daughter. Front desk is also very nice and helpful, usually I don't have much request, but this time my daughter need to print out a document, our toilet has problem, also need shutter to send me to airport, all requests are done timely and smoothly. I arrived early expecting an early check in and was told by Sara(GSR)that the hotel was booked. I came back at 3 pm of the original check in time to find that it had been delayed. The original room (5__)was crossed out on my receipt and I was given a different room in which I was told that it was a quite area in the midst of other rooms. I insisted on an area that was at the end of the hallway away from the ice machines and elevators and I was given room keys. I went to the room with my baggage... Read more

My girlfriend and I came here on our first vacation together. We had an incredible time. The rooms were clean, internet was fast, and the bartender, Rick, was very friendly and engaged with us every night. The front desk agent, Nikheel, was incredibly helpful. Anything that we needed, he was on top of. Major props to him for his professionalism and great personality. We will definitely be coming back here for our next beach vacation. Ages 25 and 22.

Was allowed an early check-in (but think we were charged 25.00, but was worth it.) The front desk was very helpful, offering lunch and dinner recommendations and giving Wi-Fi info without asking and directing us to our room. The shower did have a leak, we called and it was fixed promptly. Room was clean and well maintained and quiet. (3rd Floor, end of the hall). The pool and hot tub were clean. Had dinner at the hotel on recommendation of the staff and the drinks we ordered as well as the... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel two years in a row on our way to vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is located near many restaurants and also shopping locations in Wilmington. It is about a 15 minute drive to get to the beach. The indoor heated pool was very nice as well as the exercise room. The Full-service restaurant has an outstanding breakfast with a very excellent staff. We love ... Read more

This hotel was nice. The day we arrived there was a storm, which caused elevator difficulty. But, the staff was on in. It was a nice stay for our family to visit the beach, without actually being on the beach (about 15 min). The staff there was very friendly.

The front desk staff were great and friendly, and so was housekeeping. The room was quiet. There was no washing detergent for the laundry room to buy at the sundry shop, and it wasn't stocked up for the 5 days we stayed. This was inconvenient. The room was clean and okay, but not that comfortable to just hang out. The location is a nightmare. it was so intensely crowded on Market Street that we didn't want to venture out. I arrived about 2 hours before check-in and they didn't have a room ready. I pressed nicely about getting a room because the wedding was that night and I needed to get ready but the clerk was insistent that no rooms were clean. I left but while I was still in the parking lot, I saw 2 airline employees arrive at the hotel and they both got rooms. I was shocked that a clean room couldn't be found for a Platinum member a few hours before the official check-in time so I went back in. Then the clerk ... Read more

We were late checking in to the hotel by 4 hours and they didn't mind. Nice staff to greet us at the front desk. No frills even as a IHG member, no water, no cookie, no continental breakfast buffet, but you do get 1 free drink ticket for the bar. I guess with Wilmington being a college town the 1 free drink ticket per person seems like the way to go, I would have preferred breakfast. BUT, there is a full restaurant for breakfast and dinner which is something you don't get very often. The room wa... Read more

At the last minute, the wife and I decide to start our trip to Wilmington a day early. So I booked this holiday inn for one night at a great deal. The location provides access to lots of restaurants and close to several sightseeing locations. For breakfast, we both pigged out at the buffet, which include normal fair plus waffles on request. The staff at both the desk and restaurant was friendly. I have to minor complaints. The sink in our room was disgusting filled with whiskers. T... Read more

What an awful check in experience at the Holiday Inn, Market St Wilmington. During the booking process I had requested an early check in since I was getting in town on an early flight. Whilst I know that the preferences you make at the time of booking are not guaranteed, I feel the initial service should have been much better. I was staying an entire week and spending more money than most, surely that counts for something. I am also an IHG SPIRE ELITE which last time I checked holds the highes... Read more

I would say the staff was more than friendly from check-in to requests for maintenance. Housekeeper was very friendly. The grounds are okay, and the room are okay. I have to say I took a cold shower because we were in a hurry and some how the hot water was turned off prior to our check-in. So we had to call to get help, which the staff fixed that night.
