Everyone at the hotel had a smile and welcome for everyone. Room was ideal and we had a great few nights sleep. Breakfast was good, plentry of variety and constantly being refreshed. Although outside pool was closed they had a court yard at the fear of the building ideal for siting in the sun.

We like the IHG brand hotels because they are consistently good. This one is no exception. Friendly service, clean, quiet, good breakfast included and free parking. Mu husband thinks their blankets (quilt) too heavy. Otherwise, we give this place high marks.

Great room and a very friendly staff! Everything was clean and this Motel is located right off of College Blvd behind the car Dealerships. You can go out the Back way and turn on Market Street.. Or otherwise it is right where you want to be as far as restaurants and shopping.

The room was spacious. Could use some maintenance....the cabinet that holds the refrigerator was damaged and leaning. The bathroom had a weird layout with the toilet right beside the tub with a ton a space on the other side. I did like the separate area for the sink.

This Holiday Inn express is average overall. The rooms were clean, but aging and a bit worn. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast area was crowded. If you can get a good rate, this would be a good choice, however, I would shop around for newer properties.

My daughter and I stayed at this Holiday Inn on Saturday, May 21st. We were in town for a soccer tournament, and there were many players and parents spending the night. The hotel was fully booked, but noise was not an issue after hours. The property was in good shape and the room was up-to-date, clean and spacious. The staff and facility capably accommodated the big crowd check-in, check-out and breakfast.

Very friendly staff. Clean room. Bedding and towels soft and smelled great!! Air conditioning did not seem to be working well in room and in hotel in general. Breakfast was excellent!!!! The front desk had a toothbrush and razor as one in our party forgot to pack that.

Decent rooms, good, hot breakfast, delicious coffee and the location was convenient. Would stay here again. Lots of stores and restaurants around to go to and a quick trip to get to Wrightsville Brach and others.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days last week. The price is right, breakfast was good and the location was great. But...my room could have been cleaned a lot better and the hotel needs a little more maintenance. There was hair on the lamp next to the bed, hair/pubes on the floor in the bathroom and pubes in the shower. The vent was COVERED in dirt and dust. There was an old t-shirt in the corner of the room that was left by the previous guest I'm assuming. The ceiling in the bathroom had chipp... Read more

We have stayed here many many times and this time left little to be desired. Get to room it smelled very musty had to prop hallway door open. Our family of four went to get ready to go out and there was ONE towel. Go out to pool and no towels first day. Second day no towels again and the furniture is not just dated but broken which is very unsafe. I took photos to share. The other thing I shared with front desk is that while I was getting dressed my husband went to get something out of the car t... Read more

My daughter and I stayed here for her orientation at UNCW. It is super close to campus. It is a good decent place to stay, the entrance was a bit awkward...there are 2 entrances and the way the building is situated, it's hard to tell which door has the front desk...they need to have a sign that says main entrance or front desk or check in or something. The "back door," which is on the side, is only accessible once you have a room key. The vent in the bathroom was dusty and the AC was one tha... Read more

AC has issues. Have to push & push buttons to get it to work. Hard to switch from AC to fan! Some beds squeck badly & sounds like it might fall. Needs fixing. Very nice friendly housekeeping staff. Quiet, great towels & soft sheets. Close to Wrightsville beach about 4 miles. Hotel difficult to get into from the main road!

Nice hotel not what I expected for a Holiday Inn, I mainly stay at Hilton Branded HotelsI. I had a King Suite, the room set up reminded me of the set up at Embassy Suites. Upon entering the room you are in a sitting area walk through to kitchenette with bathroom on the side then to the bedroom. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and staff was very nice. Breakfast had good choices, just wish they had to go trays for when you have to eat and run. My daughter went to the pool she said it ... Read more

The property needs some TLC. The staff was kind, but room doors are in rough shape, bathroom needs bleach and pool seemed to be a little green. Laundry facility (one of each) worked great. Our first room smelled like a wet dog, but staff quickly relocated us. There is a Walmart next door.

We booked last minute, literally before we arrived but booked wrong night, website kept kicking us off and must have changed dates, we didn't notice. Front desk clerk Alex was still able to get us a room for close to the same price. He was very efficient and friendly, had several things going on at same time. Lots of fans in hallways, must have had a water leak. Rooms were clean, beds comfy but squeaky and carpet could use an update. Bathroom had rust in tub, could use some TLC and caulk. Breakf... I was quoted verbally several times the price of the room. As a local, there was a $250 hold on my credit card (to be refunded at checkout). They took the money from my account and then kept the amount saying the room costs more than what I was originally quoted. Shame on them. I am on Social Security Disability -- a very fixed income. I would have never, had I known the actual room charges, booked the room. I simply couldn't afford it. A kind gesture of a gift for my niece has caused sig... Read more

Rooms are pretty plain but clean. Staff friendly enough but I was a little perturbed at check in. I had requested early check in so we could get ready for a wedding that started at 3:00. We arrived at 1:00 and were told no rooms were ready and that check in wasn't until 3:00. The front desk staff member told me, "it's a request, not a guarantee". Really? Check out is 12:00 and a lot of people check out earlier than that. So there was not a single room clean yet?? I have never arrived at a hotel ... Read more

This hotel was an ok place to stay. It was nothing fancy, but was not a disaster either. Employees were friendly, breakfast was free. Room had expected amenities. For where it is (not beachfront or anywhere particularly special) seemed a little overpriced.

We stayed here overnight while visiting Wilmington after being warned by a local resident to stay away from the Market street hotels: a warning we were very grateful for! The staff was extremely friendly upon entering the hotel. The hotel has been updated, the lobby is nice, the rooms were updated, clean and on the larger size. The bathroom was very spacious as well with plenty of room on the sink top to put any toiletries bag, makeup bag, etc for more than one person. The breakfast in the morn... Read more

This is one of those hotels that you can tell has been renovated, but you can also tell it used to be shabby. Our room had a drop ceiling and weird ventilation. The staff goes out of its way to be friendly.

Decided to book a room at this hotel for a couple of nights while I worked in Wilmington. To start off, the receptionist at the front desk sang her way to the front to assist me before she greeted me, she had a very nice voice btw. Stayed in my room one night before the air conditioner started to leak and had to move. The beds are uncomfortable, but the rooms were clean and you can tell that this is an older hotel in need of some room renovations. Overall, not the worse place I've stayed. The ho... Read more

Nice hotel, clean and friendly. Small Gym. Room was very nice. I like to get suites so that I have somewhere to work and for under $100 it was a deal. Good breakfast for a hotel. WI-Fi was not great which was s shame. Walls were a little thin.

I arrived in Wilmington on a Saturday for a wedding shower. I was greeted by Jasmine, who was very friendly and helpful. I booked my room from an online website and instead of the double queen bed room that I booked, it came up as one king bed suite. This wouldn't work b/c we had four adults. Jasmine quickly corrected the problem and put us in the room that we needed. Later on that evening, we were hungry so we asked the front desk what restaurant would deliver late at night. I stayed here for 2 nights recently while attending a continuing education class in one of he conference rooms. My room was a little on the small side, especially for $100 a night but it was clean and comfortable. The walls are pretty thin and the person in the room next to me snoozed their alarm clock at least 6 times starting at 6am which was rather annoying. All of the staff I encountered were very polite, friendly and helpful. When they passed me in the corridor they all greeted me with smil... Read more

We stayed just for 1 night in October. We saw comment that this hotel was a bit old but we decided to try. Had it been clean and properly maintained I would have given it 4 stars. There was a water leak in our bathroom, the floor was all wet. The toilet has not been cleaned before our visit. Breakfast was OK. I am sure we could have found a better place for that kind of money.

On our last visit we noticed that the bathroom faucets had been professionally serviced because they were so easy to operate that I could do it with one finger. This may not be an important point to many people, but with arthritis in our hands, the operation of these appliances gets to be a challenge some time. One big surprise was that the "Kleenex" tissues were actually Kleenex brand and not the sandpaper we endure in most hotels. Truly, the difference between a soso establishment and a won... Read more
