This is a newer Hampton Inn in a convenient location for several reasons - near downtown, near the beach, and (for me) near the Wilmington cross-city trail (ideal for bicycles, runners, walkers, wheelchairs). The room was clean, bedding and towels fresh, nice bathroom, comfy bed, and plenty of outlets for charging phones, iPads, etc. Breakfast offered a wide variety of foods, from eggs and sausage, fresh oatmeal and fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and other breads, etc. Strong wifi signal, t... Disappointed We made the decision to stay near the beach but were disappointed in the property. Not up to Hampton Inn standards. Our room was small and the bathroom was cramped. Paint was messy on the walls and room was dated.

The grounds around the hotel are beautiful. If you are celebrating a special event such as anniversary etc. this hotel will not suffice. Although the hotel offers rooms with Whirlpool in it, the room was not elegant or romantic enough for my taste. For the price of the room I expected the furnishings to be up-to-date. The carpet was very dirty. Hotel is okay if needed as a place to lay your head for an overnight stay.

Not too much to say about this Hampton Inn except the name actually is The Landfall Inn Hampton Inn and Suites. Oh, and the pillows are much too soft. It's as if there are no feathers or other stuffing in them. You might as well be placing your head on an empty pillow case. There was a huge gap around the door allowing in way too much light from the brightly lit hall, making it difficult to sleep if, as we, you prefer very dark rooms for sleeping. The staff was cordial and the breakfast w... Read more

We came for a two night stay, on our way to a family wedding. As a family of four, we appreciated the beautiful Outdoor pool and the best breakfast. The beach was easy to access, and was wonderful. We found a local restaurant that was fantastic! There were some minor problems with our room, but overall it was very clean. The air conditioner was very loud at night. The refrigerator leaked.

Very good location, great service and pleasant atmosphere. I used the hotel for business to meet with clients. The only negatives were the three large cockroaches, although I am not entirely surprised given the time of year and climate. I witnessed a bug problem at the restaurant next door as well. Overall I was quite please with my return visit.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding at the beach. The location was very convenient. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was great. They allowed us to check in early to get ready for the 4pm wedding. I would 100% stay here the next time we're in the area.

Our stay was a wedding weekend. We were 5 minutes from Landfall and next door to the Port City Chop house. Early June was busy. We had a first floor room (with a crying baby next door who we met as we checked out) and NEVER heard any sounds in the hall at night or next door which is rare! Kudos. Nice hard shower, fresh sliced fruit at breakfast and a really comfortable bed. I would give five stars but the upholstery was very stained in a chair and some simple touch ups needed. Who cares? Great location, super clean, and friendly staff. The only complaint is the room air conditioners and the ice machines in hallway. I can't recall more noisy equipment in any other Hampton property. Sorry guys but all my wife and I really do in our room is sleep and shower. The shower was great but we didn't get the sleep we wanted because of the outrageous noise everything time the air condition cycled on.

You never know what to expect when you book a room on line and when it's a room with a jacuzzi it could be something to run from... We were in a 2 night get away and couldn't be happier with the hotel ... The room was amazing !!! Extra clean !!! The location couldn't have been better... Tucked away yet close to shops and restaurants . Loved it! We will make this or regular spot from now on.

Overall average. The facility is tucked away but yet in the center of a business & commercial district. My meetings were in Wrightsville Beach - and from this hotel, it was a 5 minute drive. The bedding was comfortable but the shower door was broken. It appeared that some renovation had been done in recent years, but it was a little "sloppy" in places.

This hotel was great for a vacation to the beach. The hotel is conveniently located between Wrightsville beach and downtown Wilmington so it does not take much more than 15 minutes to get to pretty much anyway in town. Meanwhile the hotel sits back from the road in a very quiet complex that makes it feel like its own little world. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great stay but rooms need a fan in the bathroom. And a few things to make over the rooms. Fresh paint clean carpets, pain wood in bathrooms, fix the marble of chips in bathroom. Also eggs without pork in them, I'm allergic to it. Turkey sausage was great!!!! So was the pineapple!!!

Never a disappointment. Crystal, breakfast attendant, made it right for my grandson by getting him his favorite cereal. Thank you. Gazebo drinks were great, pool was a little too much like taking a very warm bath, but still enjoyed it. Just wish the room had a fridge and microwave. Didn't realize it wouldn't have either. Traveling with a milk loving toddler having a fridge would have been better. Will be back!!

This Hampton Inn was very nice, and it had a superb breakfast, with five different kinds of fresh fruit, meat, eggs, and other more usual offerings. The room was also very nice, and it had electrical outlets at the nightstand. It also had a really nice shower. Three shortcomings: * No tub * No refrigerator * No microwave (except the one at the desk in the lobby) If these things are not important to you, then by all means this hotel is a superb choice.

This Hampton has decent common space. The outdoor pool was nice. The room was far below par in comparison to most Hamptons. The rooms are overdue for updating. The Tiki bar at the pool is a nice feature and the bar in the lobby is also nice. The location is decent if you are looking for a place with access to both the beach and shopping. When we return to Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach, we will definitely look for a different hotel.

I might have gone 5 stars if the room rate had been more like $160, but it was $190-something. I've noticed Hampton Inn's have escalated their prices, and my former-loyalty to the chain is being eroded. Besides the price, I dinged them on two issues, both temperature-related. One is the duvet covers are ridiculously hot. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was short drive to the beach and an assortment of nice restaurants. Friendly staff, good location, nice breakfast. Although a non-smoking hotel, the smoking areas located outside doors did detract from the experience. Just for informational purposes, there are dead spots in the internet service and the fitness room lacked an elliptical machine. We brought our son and his family on vacation 2 consecutive years and had nothing but compliments for the quality of the suites and rooms in which we stayed, location, and the quality of hotel staff. We recently stayed for 4 nights in a suite and were disappointed with the condition of our room. The carpet was dirty and the tub/shower fixtures did not work properly. There was a piece of white lint on the carpet when we ... Read more

The hotel was located in a very quiet area and was very convenient to many restaurants as well as Wrightsville Beach. It is also very convent to UNC Wilmington ( 5 minutes) I look forward to my next visit in a few weeks.

Great! Staff was extremely nice. Room was spacious and quiet. I'm a smoker so I was put on the first floor near the door and had easy access to go out to smoke. The only thing better would be to have a smoking room, lol.

I've told you everything already. I already told you of the wi-fi issues and how the staff was unaware of the internet being down all day. Our coffee pot did not work and I asked for a replacement. I had a 4 cup coffee maker and it was replaced with a single cup maker but I got no single coffee packs to use in it. The kitchen faucet leaks under the cabinet. When you close the refrigerator door it sounds like you stepped on a cats tail. The TV is very dark

This hotel was nice. Was upgraded to a room with a fire place. Which was nice, as I stayed during the fall. Also you are just a short car ride to the beach. The hotel needs some updating and make sure you check the water pressure and that it gets hot. But those than that everyone was very nice.

We have stayed here for the last six years. When we travel we only stay in Hampton Inns because we love them and have never had a bad experience. Every other Hampton Inns we have stayed in had a note on the headboard that the duvets are cleaned with every new guest.... did not find this here.....We stayed in a suite on the first floor that smelled like cigarettes......, I had to go out and buy air fresheners.......The TV in the bedroom had no signal so we had to call the front desk to fix it...... Like to say with Hampton Inn so while visiting a friend in Wilmington we selected this site. When arriving we were given a room that was the smallest Hampton Inn room we had ever seen--no room for suit case, no room in the bathroom for supplies; we were disappointed to say the least. Upon speaking to the front desk they moved us to wonderful suite that was spacious and great. We were impressed at their willingness to make our stay pleasant. may their tribe increase and be blessed.

Great location and overall satisfied except for the tiredness of the rooms. The rooms could use a little TLC and updating. Love the proximity to shopping and the beach area. Lighting was not the best in the bathrooms. Needed to be brighter.

Obscurely tucked away Inn in the trees. Difficult to see from the street and signage apparently unlawful with local ordinances. The Inn is currently undergoing repairs from hurricane damage, but still has a comfortable feel. The staff is very friendly and has a great attitude compared to many businesses that I encounter.

What a nice place. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with local information. The desk staff friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. For a quiet part of the hotel I would stay on the east end. That end also looks over a nice wooded area.

Brenda and staff where incredible kind and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. They assisted me with printing flyers for the search of my daughter and always asked whether I had any updates. Luckily she was found safe
