We were pleased with the accommodations. The room was clean, adequate and comfortable. There is one comment I would like to make regarding reservations. In booking a nonsmoking room early on, when making a change at a later date, but within the same time frame, I would expected to still have a nonsmoking room. I found I had lost mine, but fortunately there must have been a late cancellation and I was once again able to have a nonsmoking room at the time I checked in.

When my friend and I arrived, we were greeted pleasantly and given rooms on the bottom floor. When I got to my room, I was hit by the horrible smell of wet dog and there were crumbs all over the air conditioner behind the chair. When the front desk called me to check on the room-I told him (Gary) that the room smelled bad, he said he had air fresher. I told him no. My daughter came to my room and she had to walk out because the smell was so bad. I called the front desk person again and spok... Read more

The staff at the front desk was wonderful and what I can tell from the main entrance and the restaurant was very clean. Now the rooms and the appearance was not good. I do not like outside rooms. It is very out dated. The rooms had a odor to them and the bathrooms are very small cant move around in there at all.

Very comfortable stay. At least $60 cheaper than neighboring hotels and close to everything we were interested in doing. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

The room I had smelled like a combination of wet dog and mold. The staff did come to spray but it did little good and my friend and I had to change rooms. They should never have put anyone in such a room that nasty!

Looks clean, decently updated, but there are roaches, and when I mentioned that to the check out clerk his response was- we spray every week...i suggest they use a different type of spray

Kim at the front desk was very helpful. The housekeeping staff is certainly VERY unprofessional. They were loud outside of the rooms & using profanities loud enough for my children to hear. Office staff is great. I kept stubbing my toe on the raised entry to the bathroom & the decor is very outdated. The water pressure was horrible. It needs some improvements, but overall it was clean and the office staff was super friendly & super helpful.

The stay was great. The manager,James, was a big help and did everything to make our stay one to remember. We were always checked on to make sure we were comfortable. Housekeeping was wonderful, keeping the rooms clean and making sure we had what we needed, such as extra towels, etc. The rooms were clean and the pool was as well. Our family will definitely be returning . Thanks Days Inn for the great stay. -Chris and family

My husband and I have stayed here twice and have been pleased both times! The rooms were clean and just as described online. We stayed last weekend and the room seemed to have been updated. Lots of great restaurants nearby and a 30 min drive to the beach. We would never pay oceanfront prices during peak season when we can stay here! Very friendly staff. Great deal for the price.

I stayed at this hotel for seven nights and eight days. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and will probably go back again. Rooms are clean, staff are super friendly and very attentive. They have a restaurant in the lobby where you can receive ten percent off of your bill by showing your room key. Very pleasant stay. Had the privacy hanger in the door my whole stay and wasn't bothered once, but when I needed something they were quick and courteous to get it for me.

Came in at that morning was told nothing was cleaned to come back at 3 . Came back an no rooms was cleaned yet or available . Didn't like that.

On vacation and just in Wilmington, NC for the night. Used GPS to find the Days Inn and used web to see the rating. It was so reasonable. King bed. nice Refrig. Mic. Internet and very clean. The landscaping was kept nicely. No free breakfast for 10% off on the restaurant within the motel near lobby. Prices for breakfast reasonable and large size.

Everything from check in to check out was great!! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the motel was great. Food was delicious, made to order, the seafood the main reason for me visiting the beach was fresh and awesome. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was a plus also. The price is good and look forward to visiting this place again. Thanks for helping make my family vacation awesome!! I definitely recommend to everyone.

I can tell that the management works to keep this older hotel in good shape. The front desk staff was friendly. The room looked clean, but as with many budget hotels, you can tell that guests smoke in the non-smoking rooms. No deodorizer can make such a room smell clean, even if it is. Since the rooms all have exterior entrances, it's easy to step outside to smoke, and I'd encourage my fellow travelers who smoke to do that if they're in a non-smoking room.

Very nice accommodations for an older hotel. The grandkids enjoyed the pool, which was clean and well maintained. The front desk people were so nice. Restaurant staff very nice, and came around to refill coffee at just the right time. The hotel room was comfortable with new bedding. Allergy and bed bug repellant mattress covers which is a must these days. Yes it is older, but Wilmington hotels are very expensive.

With it being pre-4th of July, we couldn't find a suitable pet friendly hotel. This one is not fancy, is old, barely clean (but safe) and just a place to stay/sleep/rest/shower while you take care of business or pleasure.

Room was in the back away from the traffic which was nice, but could hear people walking above us. Ice machines were all out of ice or broke. Continental breakfast would have been nice, not even free coffee in lobby. Near many places to eat but nearly impossible to cross the street.

hotel was good for what I was doing. In town to conduct three day of training so really only needed a nice clean place to sleep for the night. Good location plenty of food places to eat plus the hotel has a restaurant that was a good deal. Enjoyed the stay and well stay again on my next trip through.

The housekeepers were super sweet and our dog was loved on when we stayed. Our non smoking room smelled smokey. Cockroaches entered room multiple times. The is an open area under front door where they can come in easily. Air conditioners leaking water outside and makes sidewalk very slippery. I also fell. No continental breakfast and the breakfast we paid for wasn't very good.

Terrible place tons of roaches. The a.c doesn't work. Management declined to get involved. The walls are paper thin so we could hear the drug dealers above us...yes they were dealing pot at least out of the hotel. Our room stunk of pot. Just to be clear don't waste your money here.

Make sure to read the details for your stay on the page for the hotel itself, NOT on other Google adds for the same location. When we booked, we thought that breakfast was included, as it says on Google, but instead when we got there we found out it was a sit-down restaurant. Just make sure to check the actual site first; it was a mistake we could have avoided. That being said, the room was clean, and the staff were kind and professional. The room was relatively clean, but had a musky, funky smell. There was a great deal of noise and foot traffic running outside of our upstairs room, but that subsided after awhile. My major complaint was that the company lists that they accept discounts, but we were advised by the individual taking our reservation that they had already used their limit of discounts for the day and could not honor any more. I have never heard of that policy. We have AAA as well as a government employee discount, b... Read more

We needed a room for a couple of nights on short notice and did not want to spend beachfront rates and decided to try this Days Inn. The room we had was newly remodeled and very clean. I'm currently staying in a queen room in this establishment. The room does have an interesting odor as you previously read from other reviewers, and the air conditioner units do leak on the walk way, but that's to be expected. Because that's what a window AC unit does. The room was clean, and no sign of roaches noted. I must say I'm impressed for what it is. We needed a room for the night after a late night/early arrival and the Days Inn Wilmington fit the bill perfectly. Convenient and clean - recently updated. We didn't use the pool or restaurant, but they looked clean and inviting. The street out front is quite busy and made for getting out of the parking lot a bit of a chore, especially if wanting to turn left. All in all a very good bargain for a decent overnight.

Our stay was not great. as soon as we entered the room we were greated with a roach on the wall my son had to get with his hand. they do not have pack and plays or baby beds at all so my 12 year old and 9 year olds shared one very small bed. me my husband and our 2 1/2 year old shared the other. none of the children could sleep on the floor because of the bug we encountered. we also had to keep the light on so the children could feel a little at ease about finding a bug in our room

Asked for non smoking room; the room smelled terribly of smoke. Moved to a different room and it was horribly musty. Good points were that it was clean and had a great shower. Bag liners in the trash would have been nice. Saw a roach, but this is the south. The leaky air conditioners outside were a pain. The breakfast in the "restaurant" was awful. Way overepriced and i'm sure the food was just microwaved. Coffee disgusting.

It may not be the most modern, or the "classiest" hotel, but you can depend on comfortable beds, a clean pool, and excellent customer service. However, this time they went above and beyond, which prompted this review..I had left some one of a kind photos in our room upon checkout, and instead of tossing them, they took the time to contact me and offer to mail back..THAT is what I c...
