I visited the hotel with my daughter and a friend for a basketball tournament. It was not the best experience! The room is dark and the pullout sleeper sofa is horrendous! It was my understanding they had no more double rooms available for the tournament, so the king with the sleeper was the only option. It was absolutely the most uncomfortable we've ever seen & the "sofa" is really a love seat? So if you are over 5 feet tall it isn't even an option to sleep on top without pulling it out! Wh... I rarely give 1 star ratings, but our experience was terrible. My absolute lowest standards are for a hotel to be clean and that I get a good night's sleep. This hotel was clean, but it was the noisiest hotel I've stayed in. Both my husband and I only got a few hours sleep the two nights that we stayed there. The first night there was a large group staying at the hotel and we spent all night lying in bed listening to teenage girls giggle until 1 am. Who chaperones these teens? The second night... Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean.Good breakfast. This is above average and very comfortable. It was very tastefully decorated. One side does face a freeway and some people might not like that side when choosing a room. We were attending a wedding and picked this place because it was about 5 minutes from the event. Very nice.

Very clean, friendly staff, close to my conference at NC State University, conveniently located off I-40. Nice breakfast options and lite dinner offered during midweek stays. I would happily stay here again.

I brought my daughter & friend to Raleigh for Animazement convention. I Found the hotel to be clean quiet and close to downtown. Breakfast had both hot & cold items and was well stocked. I was exspecially pleased with front desk staff. Since it was raining on Sunday, I asked for a late check out & they granted my wishes. It made my stay in Raleigh very comfortable.

I arrived after midnight so I didn't have much time to really enjoy all the nice things about this hotel. Somehow I got an incredible deal on Hotwire and ended up here, and it was pretty much impeccable! Super clean, comfortable bed, room had great amenities (wifi worked great, TV had many different HBO channels, room had fridge and microwave) and the staff was efficient and friendly. They allowed me to check out an hour late. In the breakfast area, tea and coffee etc. plus fruit was available a... Read more

My family and I have stayed at this hotel twice now. We stayed here last summer (August 2015) and this summer (June 2016). Both trips were family vacation trips through North Carolina with Raleigh as a stopping point. Both times were great. Last summer when we stayed, there was a little league baseball tournament going on somewhere nearby, and there were some teams staying at this hotel. Despite that, it was still quiet and the breakfast area was still clean and well taken care of. It was ... Read more

My room was really nice and big. Beautiful flat screen tv, nice big bathroom. Clean, clean and clean. I didn't hear any loud noises, no kids running up and down the hallways. They have a great workout room, we didn't get in the pool. Breakfast was average for a hotel. I was able to call and make my reservations before we got there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the are and I would stay here again

Stay Report, July 24-26 Location: The hotel is located on Gorman Street just north of Interstate 40 (Exit 295). It's across the street from a gas station but nothing else is in walking distance. NC State University's campus is about two miles to the north and downtown Raleigh is six miles away. RDU is 11 miles to the west. Hotel: This is a newer HIX (built in 2009) and is very nice. The lobby is bright and airy with a large breakfast room and there's a small indoor pool and fitness center as ... Read more

I stay at this hotel every time I visit my daughter at NC State and I am always excited to come back! It's close proximity to NC State is so convenient. The rooms and the hotel overall are so clean. The breakfast is awesome with lots of choices. But nothing outshines the staff! They are so pleasant and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome (special shout out to my guys, Monte and Bill)! My daughter who lives there in Raleigh had minor knee surgery last month and we even stay... Read more

Came into town to look at colleges and the mall. It was very close to the college area and not far from Crabtree mall. The hotel was very clean, beds really comfy, and staff was very nice. breakfast was better than most "free" hotel breakfasts. I'd definitely stay here again!

I have been to Raleigh three times, and I have stayed at this Holiday Inn all three. If I do end up going again in the future I already know where I will stay. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean. It is only minutes from the North Carolina State campus and downtown. It is also easy to find since it is only about a half mile from I40.

Visited this location after staying at the Hyatt. This location was way better. The hotel was clean, smelled great, offered excellent amenities. The staff was super nice. Monte was very professional, well spoken and nicely dressed. Will definitely recommend and will visit again. Thank you.

Great location convenient to NC State campus and always the nicest staff people! They are friendly, professional, helpful every time. The breakfast bar is nice for a quick start to your day. Since it's frequently busy, the facility is starting to show a little wear, maybe time for a deep-cleaning and new carpets soon...

The front desk was welcoming upon our arrival. They maintained that friendliness for our entire stay even though we approached them with several personal problems. The room we received was quiet and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was not spotless when we arrived but the next clean staff did a marvelous job of picking up what had been missed. The location was ideal for us. It was off the main highway yet we were able to get to our event and then to downtown without problems... Read more

All the staff at this hotel are very accommodating. The only issue with the hotel is the remoteness of its location and the ability for Uber to find the hotel. The breakfast is acceptable in the cinnamon rolls are delicious.

I really appreciated the staff and had a good experience here. I live nearby and our electricity went out due to a big storm and was scheduled to be out for a week. They allowed me some flexibility as a result and were very hospitable all around. When our electricity came back early, they allowed us to leave without a penalty even though we had booked an extra night. We really appreciated this.

This is the kind of hotel to stay when on a road trip. friendly and professional stuff, extra clean comfortable and quiet rooms, toiletries that include make up remover and earbuds, fast internet and a full hot breakfast with enough healthy choices (fruit, greek yogurt, skim milk, boiled eggs). We loved it!

Outstanding front desk staff, beautiful facility, and very convenient. Special thanks to Jen at the front desk for making our 5 day stay amazing! Room was clean, had everything we needed. We also appreciated the door tag letting housekeeping know we didn't need service. They think of everything at this Holiday Inn Express.
