I encountered two problems during my reservation and stay. First, I reserved my room on Tuesday night and was told that I would receive a confirmation email. I did not get it, so I called and they re-sent the confirmation. I received the email, but the confirmation was for when I stayed last April! nevertheless, the front desk was able to assist when I registered. My next problem was the room I was first assigned had an adjourning door with guest already in. I could easily hear his convers... Read more

It was clean and everyone was very friendly. But when it came night time I couldn't sleep. We were on the front of the 3rd floor. The marquee sign shined in my room and the curtains did not block out the light. Also my husband is a diabetic and the breakfast was nothing but carbs except yogurt. That was very disappointing.

The air conditioner unit in my room was not working during my stay. The second morning, the handyman got it working, but it quit again by the afternoon. There's no handyman on weekends, so the staff said they could do nothing except move me to a different room, but none of the available rooms had been cleaned. Breakfast is carb city and not something you'd want. Cereal, make-it-yourself waffles, bagels. The coffee was ok.

This Wingate property is above the average "cookie cutter" hotels on this level; Comfort Suites, Best Western etc. The price is pretty much alike competitors and the edge over them are the very good and comfortable rooms, all of them up to date in terms of Tv's, microwave and fridges, all the furniture, etc. The personnel is attentive and professional, etc. All these ingredients makes this hotel a very good value versus competitors.

Staff was nice but never did anything we asked for. Our shower rod was broken and we asked several times to have it fixed until we rigged it to stay closed. We had to change our own towels and take the garabage out ourselves because no one cleaned our room.

Overall the stay was enjoyable, the only thing I had an issue with was finding the hotel, was not sure if it was my GPS or the driver, but directions on how to get to the hotel from the highway wasn't clear, but after we found our way, everything was good to go. Checking in was good, employees were gracious and the food was good also, (might want to invest in another waffle maker though).

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Apparently this hotel is under new management so much is still in the works. In fact, there were interviews taking place while I was waiting in lobby area to be picked up. Based on what I heard, it seems that improving the hotel and being properly staffed for tourist season was a priority to her - which anyone can respect. Housekeeping was short the night we stayed so we were upgraded to a larger room - which I can always appreciate! The interior w... Read more

This is a nice hotel. I would have actually given it 5 stars; however, towels were scarce in the pool area. When I requested them, one was provided to me promptly. Additionally, I ended up booking an accessible room without meaning to. My parents have to have accessible rooms, and this room is not really accessible for someone who is weak in addition to being physically disabled. The shower head does not come loose and is difficult to move. It was a chore for me to get it positioned correctly. I... Read more

Great place. I stayed two nights and the breakfast was the same both mornings. The quality of the eggs and bacon was poor. Otherwise, this is a great hotel, very clean with great rooms and bedding.

Becuse of our schedule, we didn't take advantage of the breakfast the first 2 mornings, but we were very disappointed on the 3rd morning when we went down for breakfast. The utensils were depleted and there were some food items completely gone. There was no seating and the staff on duty could not keep up with the number of guests. We drove to Bob Evans for breakfast that morning. Everything else about our stay was good.
