We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel was not kept well and you could clearly see stains on lots of the furniture including the lobby chairs, pool chairs and carpet. The fridge had mold around the insulation and we found hair on our pillow. The breakfast was typical of a free continental but I was not happy to see they do not have enough utensils for their hot items meaning the same tongs were used for the bacon and the hash browns and as a vegetarian, I didn't want to use them. Nice Hotel. Breakfast was okay. There were no attendants around to ask where things were. Could only find sugar free syrup. Napkins were the small thin kind. When the attendants finally did come out after we were almost done, one stood and watched while the other wiped the tables and they talked in their native tongue, which personally I think is very rude.

The stay was good, room very nice , stayed two nights. BUT, the last night we did not get much sleep at all. The last night we had very disturbing neighbors. It actually sounded like a Stampede ! 1-2 people were walking heavily-and running back and forth ALL night long. We called the front desk twice. Was told they told them , and action would be taken. Apparently it was not taken since we heard the same noise until early morning, and it started later again. We were just glad it was our last nig... Read more

This hotel is near the PNC Arena which was great and many other stores. The staff was friendly. Very clean and good choices for the hot breakfast served. However, it's hidden in the back and took several tries to find it. The beds were comfortable but there was makeup and left over hair in the bathroom

Overall stay was okay. Was there for a conference and spent three nights in the hotel. Front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. Had reserved three rooms, two or the rooms did not have remotes and the third room shower rod was broken and caused water to get all over the bathroom floor. Upon check in, had to wait for the front desk clerk to finish his personal cell phone call before he could check me in, even as I stared right at him in disgust. Room was clean, but furniture worn. Room was missing the TV remote control, had to wait over an hour for one to be brought up. Hotel right next to a train track, ask for a room facing the front parking lot to avoid hearing the train horn blowing all night.

I feel for the receptionist who was checking everyone in. She was working the counter by herself with a long line of people waiting on rooms. I waited two hours for my room to be ready. I was not the only customer waiting. At most about 10 that I saw during my wait. Once I got my key, I went to the room which was two queens instead of one king and was occupied. The rooms are nice, clean and modern. It was other areas that could show some improvement. One of the selling points for me to choose this particular hotel was that there was an advertised bar. However come to find out we were told that it was "never open" and the bar area itself was "just for show." That is a simple fix - don't advertise one then. This was a stop on my honeymoon and I wanted to use the bar so that we wouldn't have to go out looking for a place to drink in a new area and could s... Read more

The room we stayed in had an AC problem. We called about it an they said someone was there while we were out and fixed it. It still wouldn't go below 71. We were attending our first NCSU football game and had found this motel online. Not sure exactly where it was, I booked it anyway. Luckily, not only was it close to NCSU, it was also close to my son's apartment. Upon arrival, the first room they sent us to hadn't been cleaned. However, they did have one room left and it was WONDERFUL !! The beds were soft and comfy. The staff was very nice and the continental breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The jacuzzi and pool were also great and relaxing. I would suggest having more options during breakfast that can accommodate different dietary needs. The Wifi could also be better. It was very slow.

Great stay, especially for the price. Big room, nicely appointed. Hallway carpets were stained and in need of cleaning. I mention it because it didn't match the condition of the rest of the property, and was noticeable. Also, housekeeping didn't come to tend our room until mid afternoon, which seemed quite late. Again, I'm not complaining because it didn't affect our stay, but it was not up to par with the rest of our stay. Breakfast was good but lacked fruit offerings we've seen elsewhere.

We first had a bit of a hiccup upon checking in as they had us checking out one night early in their system but I had definitely paid for that night as well. Not being able to look out the windows and seeing the beautiful forest was heart breaking. Shame on the front desk person. He did not have his listening ears on nor did he try to make things right. Its almost always nice to stay at a Wyndham. Sink stopper didn't work at first and the shower curtain rod had not been installed properly which causeed a whole lot of water to escape out onto the floor in the bathroom. We were able to book a room in this Wingate on less than a day's notice since we had to change airports due to the storm. The hotel allowed us to leave our car there, to be picked up by a friend, two days later. Well the storm washed out the roads leading out of our small home town, and was actually 13 days before we were able to return to get the car. The staff kept an eye on it for the whole time and were genuinely happy when we were finally back and everything at home was OK.
