The hotel is small with a dock on premises. Good for the fishing crowd. No place to hang clothes and a very small bathroom. Soap dispenser in tub seemed like a good idea until finding it empty. They advertise WIFI, but it is too weak to utilize.

Booked the room then tried to cancel when we missed the ferry less than an hour after booking. NO REFUND ON CANCELLATIONS so we drove long after dark to get there rather than lose close to $100. Tiny but cute room. No closet so due to room size inadequate space to store luggage if on extended stay. Relatively clean (carpet could stand spot cleaning). Comfortable bed. Mini-fridge, microwave and Keurig. Wifi was VERY poor to nonexistent which was the worst thing about the place. No employees etc ... Read more

The check-in process is different, in a good way in my opinion, it's just a phone call. The company emails you a key code, that's how you get in your room for the duration of your stay, so you don't have to worry about a key or wait in a reception area. When your stay is over, you just leave. Nothing to it. The room was clean, with beautiful views. It is a pet friendly hotel, so I didn't expect it look like it was a brand new room, but it was in great shape, not perfect. We had a 2 queen bed roo... Read more

The location of this place was very convenient. Fortunately we were here off-season or I imagine the traffic outside would have been terrible. It sits about 10 feet from the water, which was nice for fishing off the back deck. The best thing though was the construction of the walls. We could hear absolutely everything upstairs and next door. It is comforting to get to know your neighbors so well. Sheila, upstairs had trouble controlling her 17 children as they played hopscotch until after 11, b... Read more

Not nearly as impressive as the pictures. The body of water you are on is a tiny little slip behind houses, nothing special. Needs all new wood. Needs to be repainted. There are spider webs with bugs in them in the corners of doors. Our cable TV didnt work. And our washcloth had someone elses hair on it. Not worth it for the over 100 dollars spent. Look elsewhere.

Things we loved: the location, the pier/boardwalk & being on the "quiet" side of the building (i.e. not the road side). Beyond that, our experience was terrible. We got 2 different room number confirmations & watched someone walk right into the room we were told was ours. We had to call to straighten this out, as there is no one available onsite. When we finally got the right room number, we walked in to the less-than-welcoming odor of cat urine. I understand that this is a pet friendly est... Read more

Good things... good view of the waterfront right outside the back door, wit pier and benches to sit and enjoy. Ceiling fan to move air around. Shower worked ok. Reasons to not even bother looking at Fin N Feathers... * No Hotel personnel on sight, so absolutely no help for incidentals. 866 # to KEES is for emergencies. * Mattresses are worn and not good for comfortable for decent sleep. * Ice machine ONLY provides "Non Consumable" ice... nothing for drinks! * Cleaning Service was basically non... The hotel people were very rude and unfriendly to my family. The hotel was a dive and very dirty. this hotel is infested with something! my family got all bitten up by these nasty creatures we switched rooms but the second room was worse than the first. manager was inconsiderate to us after we showed him our bug bites he denied that there were any insects in the rooms. HORRIBLE place to stay wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I would never stay there again. Not very impressed.

We booked this place with we got here at check-in time and we were never even able to check in. We tried calling kees vacations the numbers on booking and I had even called days in advance and had gotten no where. We were not the only ones trying to check in. would not recommend this place to anyone.

My husband I attempted to stay here when we traveled to OBX for a friend's wedding. When we booked the room the customer service agent was amazing and that was about all that was amazing about the whole experience. We decided to travel the 4.5 hours on Friday after work, therefore we arrived in the middle of the night. The rental company (Kees) gives you a door code which is helpful with late night arrivals. Upon arriving-there was no parking available. When we entered the room it was hotter in ... Read more

Upon arrival, no representative of the Inn was available. Only a contact number on the door. Finally someone answers and we were given a pass code to enter our room. We were charged for a queen size bed but instead received a regular. Service employees entered our room without even a knock. We were advised the room had not been completely cleaned. We waited and then advised the ladies we would need fresh towels left the next day. Upon arrival the next evening we discovered no towels were le... Read more

The great: the views and proximity to everything. You have an amazing view of the Sound from every room and access to the pier and space to sit outside. The not so great: Everyone has already expounded on the fact there is no human assistance here. True. And when we stopped by to check the place out (we already had a reservation) we saw that our room was cleaned and ready. We called the assistance number for Kees Property to see if we could check in early. They never said "No" directly to us b... Read more

I wouldn't recommend this lodge to anyone... I can be a little on the country side side so it doesn't take a lot to please me normally... the issues I had with this place were; there is no staff available on site, so no help is available if you need any towels, or if you have an issues.. the place appeared to be nice on the internet but was so dumpy and old school in appearance..looked 50 years outdated.... I didn't feel safe or secure...I almost wanted to just cancel my reservation....there wa... Read more

As the other reviews here indicate, I will not stay here again. No staff on site, the WiFi usually doesn't work, no maid service unless I specifically ask for it, no closet, very little storage space. Situated on a very noisy road that is busy all day and all night. Got good reviews on Expedia. I should have checked here.
