On our way home from Charleston, SC we decided to make it a two day trip. Mount Airy was the perfect spot for our planned overnight. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and they got us checked-in quickly. In their snack shop they carried a large selection of wine from a local winery. (Win/Win) The Hampton Inn is conveniently located to a large selection of both locally owned and chain restaurants. It's also very close to the entrance to the Shenandoah Parkway.

Stay at this site each time I visit Mount Airy. Always the best place and staff. The host is very kind and always to ensure my stay is top notch. The breakfast each morning is consistently early and well prepared, and too the staff there is bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to serve. And thus far, the TV has been on FOX News, which in my book in a plus and and must.

While I just needed a decent room, I found far more than I bargained for at this Hampton Inn. Definitely worth staying here. The hotel staff were patient, courteous, and generous. The rooms were huge and the pool large. Sometimes in small towns you never know what to expect, but this is worth a trip if you have to stay in Mt. Airy, NC.

We reserved through the national system and was told there were no doubles available and Kings were $170. The hotel was under renovation, but the public spaces were up to date and very attractive. However, the room we were assigned appeared as if the last renovation was in 1950, but of course the price was 2050. Oddly the elevator was on the end and therefore if one had our room one had to walk a ways to the elevator. The breakfast was very good and varied. My complaint is the décor of the room... Read more

Dawn Wallace, one of the managers, assisted in the delivery and set-up of the lift chair in our room. It made the trip possible for my Mom. I greatly appreciate this assistance. I stay at this hotel every time I come to Mount Airy but this is the first time I noticed it really going down. I know they are building a new one and I can't wait. The bathtub was not in good shape. Dingy looking. Shower curtain was ratty.

Clean, friendly staff, helpful to the area. Breakfast was good. Room was very nice. Bathroom very clean! We were in the area and picked the Hampton Inn for the night. They had a room which was available at a great price.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you ever are in the Mt. Airy area. Whether you are on business or vacation, you would enjoy the hospitality that they offer. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. I consider this a home away from home. When not working, there is plenty of places to eat but I would recommend going to where the locals go.

The room was nice and clean. The night light in the bathroom did not work. I love the fact that the air worked well and I can set the temperature to what I want. They are upgrading the hotel. One update that needs to be done is that they need a more comfortable bed. The bed was not very comfortable and moved everytime you move in the bed. For as nice as this hotel is, the bed really needs to be upgraded.

Great stay at this property. Very nice, clean room. Front desk, housekeeping & breakfast staff were all courteous and friendly. Our room was quiet and our bed was comfortable. We'll definitely be back sometime soon.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel so much that we stayed an extra night! Be sure to check out the cookies and hot chocolate at night! Breakfast bar is. Wry tasty with a lot of options! Very friendly employees, too!

Made reservation at last minute. Room was clean, very quiet, bed was extremely comfortable. Hotel is getting ready for a complete upgrade/remodel. Would recommend it for a restful night. They were busy but we didn't hear anyone. Definitely would stay again

I have stayed in this hotel every trip to Mt. Airy. Always a good relaxing stay and the staff has always been extremely nice. This trip however was a bit unusual. Maids showed up rather early and stated they could not return later and unrequested wake up call. I was unable to sleep in either day. The hotel did adjust the bill for my employer though.

Polite, efficient staff. Clean rooms, great full breakfast, comfortable bed (I slept like a baby!). Clean indoor pool (didn't use, but it looked great). Plenty of parking. Close to downtown Mt. Airy. Will definitely stay again.

Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was a TV, mini-frig and microwave. The WiFi was easy to connect to and fast. The breakfast room was very busy in the morning but staff kept it clean and replenished. The Waffle Maker and Toaster were choke points. The desk suggested a good local restaurant.
