Check in and out went smoothly. Our room was clean and well maintained. It was also quiet which is important to us. Breakfast was prepared and in bags in a refrig. It was okay after heating in a micro. Location is very convenient to I-40 and also downtown. Wifi worked fine.

No surprises. everything was as expected. I will be staying at this hotel the next time I am in the area. Just don't expect a traditional continental breakfast, it's more like a grab-and -go fast food.

We stayed a week for business. Room was clean and nice as are most of the Hamptons. Quiet and restful. Lobby area nice but small. Breakfast was good but not as extensive as some. Exercise room small. Staff friendly and nice. Access through side door was convenient. Will return again. Many good restaurants near.

Marcie was an absolutely terrific help..She gave me detailed directions to where I needed to go, gave me great suggestions on food. I was eating a jelly donut and some jelly got on my shirt and Marcie went above and beyond to help me with my problem. She has been one of the best workers at the many hotels I have stayed at and she deserves a raise. She is an asset to your organization. She, along with all the other great things in the hotel, will be a reason I go back very often.

I don't know if Hampton Inns have lowered their standards across all of their hotels, but I was not impressed overall with this hotel. The person who checked us in in the evening was pleasant enough. Thankfully, the staff in the morning were super nice which is what I've come to expect at Hampton Inns. What we did not like was the hard mattress and what we REALLY did not like was the "hot breakfast" in the morning was a microwaveable thing. They still had the make-your-own-waffle which the k... We had to make the "Sharing the Life Experience" trip to Morganton and were able to use our Hhilton Honors credits. The Hampton Inn facility at Morganton NC smoothly accepted our reservations, welcomed us graciously, and went out of their way to insure our brief visit was made as comfortable as possible. The facility was clean, comfortable, and lived up to its Hampton Inn policies.

Unfortunately had to travel to Morganton for business and stayed at this hotel in April and June, 3 nights each stay. I am currently in room 302 which has a moisture problem and smells like an old, mildewy basement. I had to take allergy medication just to be able to breathe. The hotel claimed they were sold and unable to switch my room. Both rooms I stayed in were dated and not on par with other Hamptons I have visited. If this is the best that Morganton has to offer, I suggest staying in a nei... Read more

This Hampton Inn in Morganton, NC was a nice find. Very clean and comfortable rooms, with an extremely polite and helpful staff. Going through some food service changes due to County regulations, but the options they have are very good.

This is a survey on our amazing experience as a couple at the hampton inn located in morganton north carolina. Sanitation certificate was a perfect score, the front desk attendant was friendly and provided quick service, and everything was available if needed. We loved the stay and the service.

Indifferent staff. Waited 3-5 minutes for clerk to get off phone(personal call)to check in. No "thank you" upon departure. Not the typical Hampton experience.Seemed to be a lot of drama going on at the front desk.

Overall not a bad Hampton. A little dated and in need of some updating. Worst part was the overwhelming air freshener in the room. So much we smelled it in the hallway. It was affecting my eyes and my wife's contacts. Floors were a little sticky.

We stayed in a King suite on the 2nd floor for 4 days. All the staff were super friendly, helpful, and professional. Working with Manager Mitch on the phone and Neal at the desk was a great experience. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Convenient location. Fastest check in ever. Seriously- this place is great. The microwaveable breakfast food was OK, but I preferred the fresh fruit and waffles. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed in a standard king room on the 2nd floor. Were traveling for a family funeral, and just needed a place to rest for one night. Bed was very comfortable, everything was clean, staff was professional and very helpful. Due to local health codes, breakfast was not what you would typically expect for a Hampton, but they did offer waffles, cereal, yogurt, milk and juices, and breakfast sandwiches which you could heat yourself. Overall, another great stay at a Hampton Inn!

We only stayed one night but everything was great. Hotel was clean and staff was wonderful. The pool is small, but would be great for smaller children or for adults that just want to cool off. Room were clean and beds very comfortable. When we checked in we were offered a bottle of water for our stay which I thought was great.

The facility is clean and the room is quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they are prohibited by ordinance for cooking food on premise so you get a frozen breakfast entree to heat in the microwave. But that isn't a 'big' deal, overall.

This property is located right off I-40 and has several restaurants nearby. The young lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. We arrived late in the evening and room options were limited. With that said, if you are a light sleeper and or dislike noise DO Not get room 116. This room is actually in the lobby, yes you read that correctly. So anytime someone comes into the lobby, into the hotel to the elevators or to breakfast you hear a door slam. The desk clerk did explain that it... Read more

I was driving I-40 home and encountered quite a bit of rain. It was already 2:30 am and the combination of weather and exhaustion encouraged me to find a place to rest. I first checked in Hickory and the normal hotels I frequent were either fully booked and prohibitively expensive. I drop on to Morgan and found this Hampton to be reasonably prices and almost brand new. I caught a few hours sleep, grabbed some breakfast to go and was on my way. This hotel has a well meaning front desk staff but it lacks the amenities business travelers typically expect for nearly $200 a night in rural North Carolina. This hotel has NO hot breakfast except frozen microwaveable nonsense and a waffle iron. There is NO pantry. There is NO onsite fitness center and the pool is minuscule. The rooms are worn and while not horrible my room was not cleaned to the level I usually experience.

The hotel is located in a great spot. However before you check in check your room if you don't like smoke. I requested a non smoking room but wasn't told none were available until after I had checked in and gone to the room . Housekeeping gave me a container of febreeze and I purchased a candle, this did not help. Also pillows were thin and extras were not available

Standard room accommodations and normal fare for breakfast, but $199+, taxes for one night in such a small country town? This hotel is located in a nice place that makes it easy to get several places around the area. It's right off of 1-40 but it's very quite there. The staff is very nice and helpful. We had travelled 16 hours straight and were very tired our first night/day there. We put out the "Do not disturb" sign and we didn't hear a noise. That usually doesn't happen anywhere. They slipped a note under the door that they would be happy to clean the room as long as we let them know before noon. Very nice!

Overall this wasn't a bad hotel. It was located centrally and clean by all measures. Because I split my stays between Hilton and another chain I have only spent 29 nights this year with this brand. I have never been spoken to so harshly by any staff member of any hotel as I was here. The concept that the guest is always right was clearly not part of this Hampton Inn's employee training. From the moment we walked in we had to wait for 20 minutes at 3pm for the front desk clerk to get back to the desk. She then didn't have our rooms ready although there is a guaranteed 3pm check-in.
