We stayed here overnight for 1 night. Beware of advice on time to get to Cedar Island Ferry terminal. The hotel said 45 minutes, Google said about 65 minutes, and it took closer to 80 minutes. There is currently road work that added a 10-15 min delay. Outside of that the Ferry is a fun experience. Be sure to make reservations. The TV stations are limited. I was surprised that we could not get the NBA playoffs on one of the 3 major networks. Water view is nice for some rooms. There is a large o... Read more

I was surprised that this hotel was so nice. I particularly liked the unique black-and-white photography used for the rooms, key cards, elevators, etc. that made it seem hipper than the "AARP" stereotype I previously had. My room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, I had to wait in line for more than 30 minutes to check in, due to severe computer problems; fortunately, these had disappeared when I checked out three days later. The staff were very attentive, even recognizing and letting me k... Read more

This facility had some pros and cons. I loved the location and the view from the room. Front desk was very helpful, but room was lacking. First off the air conditioner: As I travel a lot, I am accustomed to AC with wall controls and not on the unit itself. However, AC ran about every 5 minutes and no matter what I did with the wall control could not make the room comfortable. I like a cool room, but 64 degrees was a bit much even for me. Made it through the first night and talked to th... Read more

Our family recently stated here for 2 nights. The hotel itself is a bit dated but for the location it really is a great deal. Our room had two double beds, mini fridge, microwave and a water view. Our mini fridge was larger than most. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was nice, however most Hampton Inn's offer turkey breakfast meat as well but this one just had pork both days we were there. I must be honest, I chose this hotel because of the front water view. I was NOT disappointed! If you are the quiet and low key type of person, this hotel is where you must stay. Staff was very friendly along with a clean well-stocked hotel room. The lake front view was so lovely, that I convinced a couple who had paid for a night stay in another city to cancel their stay without refund and move to this location. This is the second time I have stayed at this particular Hampton Inn. I will definitely be back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel sits on the banks of Bogue Sound and has gorgeous views from the backside of the hotel. There are even picnic tables available for use! There is a nice outdoor pool area with patio seating and plenty of parking for motorcoaches.

Hotel is clean and decent. The pool is a decent size and 3-5 feet deep which works well for kids. The breakfast that is served is probably the worst I have had at a Hilton chain. The eggs were very bland and broken down and the sausage had a weird taste. The view of the sound is nice especially from the pool side.

My wife prefers more "nicer" accommodations than I do. This is the reason we stayed here, but more realistically, it was the only place available at that time. It is difficult to get a reservation on one day notice in the summer. The hotel was nice and clean and the view of the inter-coastal waterway was nice. The main issue I had was that our room keys seemed to no work most of the time. We stayed on the 2nd floor and unfortunately, the key did not open that door. If I were in danger and ... Read more

Great location to shopping and restaurants in area. Hotel is older, but well maintained, waterfront and very clean. Rooms are above average in size, beds and linens are very comfortable. There is a very good restaurant attached to parking, but easy drive to beach and other options.

I've been going to Morehead city as an adult for over 20 years, I have been thrilled to be able to stay at a Hampton Inn, good price and great service are always a value I will take. I wish the dock was still there for my boat.

First time staying here and it was definitely worth the price. I booked through AAA so the discount was even better. To our pleasant surprise we got a waterfront room which was lovely. They have coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the lobby even in the evening which was nice. Didn't try the wifi so I am not sure how good or bad the connection is. Great location and they have breakfast from 6-10 am every day. Will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the fact that I could get fresh baked cookies daily. My room was clean and very nice. The breakfast was great with a variety of items to chose from daily.

We stayed in the suite and it was great. The staff addressed are needs (wanted extra sheet cover for pull out). The lady in the kitchen was so polite. The food got low but there was influx of people. She quickly responded.Although some guest were rude, she smiled and continued to provide excellent service; kudos to her.
