I had a really nice room on the top floor in the corner away from the elevators. I had my peace and quiet for the most part. However, the complimentary internet wasn't always as fast as I like or need, especially when working from the hotel room. I had multiple issues with my key card not wanting to work and actually had to reset it once. They need to update their antiquated key card system. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times.

I was extremely happy with my room and overall stay. The cleanliness of the room to the managers special the night I checked in. Honestly, one of my best overnights ever. The breakfast lacks a little luster but everything else made up for it.

The hotel is up to the Hampton standards. But the Breakfast was not. I left and ate elsewhere. The food was pre-prepared and packaged. you had to open and heat in the microwave The pool was closed. This was not indicated on their website.

Was disappointed with breakfast, so don't stay at this hotel if you're expecting a "normal complimentary breakfast"! Was expecting to have breakfast before heading out to morning meetings. They have a few frozen items to put in microwave and it wasn't edible. I don't eat cereal at home or want dry pastries. Room and bathroom was very clean. One uncomfortable chair, no refrigerator or microwave in rooms.

Typical Hampton Inn. Room was clean, comfortable. Free breakfast was heat yourself items like scrambled eggs and breakfast sandwiches, not like others where breakfast is all prepared, all hot and much better. Hotel is close to many restaurants, Matthews, and just minutes from uptown Charlotte.

We stay at this Hampton Inn once or twice a year. They are very accommodating to our large group. We are always greeted wirh a smile when we arrive and sometimes by name during our stay. I definitely recommend this Hampton Inn!

We visit the Charlotte area annually to attend the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600. It is a family tradition that goes back 15 years. This Hampton Inn has very nice rooms, very courteous, helpful, and professional staff. However, the "perk" of free breakfast does not match the cost of the accommodations. The breakfast choices were very limited and it was truly more of continental-style breakfast than full breakfast.

Great location- near many restaurants and shopping centers. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good also. Overall good experience and recommend this hotel. I will definitely stay here next time I am in this area.

Hotel was nice and clean, bed was comfortable! Breakfast was good but lady working did not keep it stocked like she should have! Also the air conditioner in room really sucked! Pool was also dirty and not kept up!

The room was Ok but the this location was terrible if you want a good night of sleep. Constant traffic and sirens could be heard throughout the night. When it was time for breakfast I needed some Coffee and none was to be found in any coffee pot. I ask the front desk and they said check with the host. Wonderful stay in a great location! I recently stayed in a room for six days with two 11 year old boys (my son and a friend) who were attending a day camp nearby. The service was exceptional. Overall very good. Staff and service was fast and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable and location convenient to all areas. I wish the common area was more comfortable for groups to hang out. It could use some more comfortable chairs and the corner bench seat was designed for looks - not comfort.

From smelly garbage being collected in the stairwell for three days (blocking the exit until I moved it) to broken window shades and toilet paper dispensers along with a poor selection of breakfast items, this was the worst Hampton that I have ever stayed in. Definitely NOT up to the Hilton Standard that I am used to.

Very pleasant and kind greetings each time I came into the hotel. However, upon returning to my room after approx. 12 hours I found my room door open. I realized that housekeeping propped my door open with the dead bolt and never secured it once my room was cleaned. Although one nights charges were removed I never received a call from any manager as requested.

We reserved a king with a rollaway and when we got there the room was changed to two queens because a rollway did not fit in king room. I mentioned I was not told of this when we made the reservation. The desk clerk indicated that because I am a Diamond level she could upgrade me to a king with a pull out sofa. It was a great place to stay! I was staying with my 2 sons & I worry a little about our safety. This hotel gave me great peace of mind with private way that the front desk staff gives you your room number and also with the extra little security lock inside the hotel rooms. I was not thrilled with my stay... The bathroom reeked, and the shower curtains were stained... The description said there was a fridge and microwave but there was none in the room or down in the lobby... I would say this is less than I expected for Hilton brand hotels...

We arrived late in the evening due to bad weather and traffic delays. The front desk staff was so friendly and happy. She helped us get checked in and lined up a fridge for our room. The room was good. It's in need of a bit of an upgrade but it was clean. Breakfast ok. The location is close to family so we will stay again.

Met some friends for dinner then enjoyed an amazing stay at this Hampton Inn. The accommodations were very nice but the staff especially the manager ,Vivian was AMAZING ! Certainly a place you don't mind spending your hard earned money! I left a pair of expensive headphones in our room and called to see if they'd been turned in. Vivian was the staff member who answered the phone today and said she'd check and call back. She called back and even sent me a picture to make sure they were mine! She mailed them out today and made me feel like it was no problem at all. The front desk also called us when we checked in to make sure everything was ok.

We used this hotel for our sales group that came in for meetings. The entire staff was exceptionally nice and very accommodating. Not having any issues made the week so much smoother. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay a great one!

I was very disappointed in my stay this time. I came in January for my wedding and booked 4 rooms and the service was great. We decided to come back for our 6 month wedding anniversary and it was awful. The bathroom was filthy and had stains on the toilet.There was a wedding going on and my room wasn't ready at check in time. The people in another room 2 doors down was so loud,it was ridiculous. Our stop in Charlotte was to attend a concert in the local area for my daughter's 17th birthday. After searching online, I located this Hampton near the venue. As a Hilton Honors menu, I am familiar with the Hampton brand, and knew this would be an ideal location, and good stay. It was both.

Great location for my purposes and many choices for dining nearby. Staff has always been very accommodating. Beds are comfortable and room is quiet. Recommend staying on 5th floor on pool side. Parking is no issue.

My daughter recently got married. She had all of her out of town guests stay at this hotel. It was a wonderful experience for everyone. Especially giving them a discounted price. They allowed us to use a conference room for her rehearsal party and even helped my daughter decide how to set it up. Anything we asked for was graciously received. Shared a double queen room with my daughter and baby! The room was very tight with a crib. Tended to get hot and air conditioner was not adjustable to a cooler temp . Noise from it cycling on and off all night was disturbing.

Traveled with a business group. The staff and accommodations were great. Nice clean, we'll taken care of rooms. The Breakfast was pretty good, but not the best coffee or orange juice. Stayed 3 nights and the experience was consistently good overall of them.

This hotel was somewhat pleasant, but the rooms needed some updates. Had some issues connecting with WiFi and the AC didn't quite cool the room enough in the evening to be comfortable. Our front desk agent was polite and the complimentary breakfast was good.

The staff and the accommodations were wonderful. Room was extra clean and all staff from breakfast servers to front desk to cleaning staff were extremely nice. Breakfast was very good and varied each day. Will stay here again when back this way. Only down side was that the pool was out of order, but they were fixing it.

Very nice hotel. The breakfast was good and had a great atmosphere in the eating area. The pool was just ok. Our room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. The only negative we had was that the hotel clerk called our room at 11:30 pm and woke us up to ask if we had any noise problem in our room due to some other customer complaints. I had a hard time falling back to sleep after that. Our room was very quiet.

This hotel was a very good value and not too far from downtown Charlotte and Rock Hill, SC where I needed to be on several of the days. Hotel was very clean, and the room was spacious. Our school sports team stayed at this location, and all I can say is WOW! The staff was amazing! They helped us with any request we had, and went over and above. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, as expected at any Hampton Inn, but it's the staff that really makes this location shine!

Very nice accommodations; clean and comfortable. Staff was great at checking in our large group and made sure there was plenty of breakfast food in the morning for a teenage hockey team. The rooms are modern and nicely setup. The bed was very comfortable. Our whole group of hockey players and parents were pleased with the accommodations.

Safe, comfortable, close to restaurants and shopping. Friendly and other patrons. Centrally located to local attraction. North of the road construction and close to 485 interchange. Missed having a refrigerator and microwave so be sure to ask if you need them.

My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn on Saturday 10/15/16. This is a really nice place to stay, and it is located in a great spot for us. The room was nice and very clean. The staff were all helpful. The have a nice breakfast, with a good selection of foods. The only negative is the small amount of parking spaces, but to be honest that would only be an impact if the hotel was fully booked.

Great location just on outskirts of downtown Charlotte. Easy access to a variety of restaurants without fighting major highway traffic. Front desk had some trouble locating our reservation at check in though we had confirmation number. Room was comfortable but felt interior of hotel could use some upgrades.

The room was absolutely filthy. Nail clippings under the couch. Stains on the bathroom wall, Stains on the sheers. Dirty night stand. Grimy tub with the packaging from a previous guests disposable contacts. Microwave was missing feet. Water in a puddle on the bathroom floor upon check in. Just gross overall.

I had an enjoyable stay at the Hampton Inn Charlotte/ Mathews. The staff was very pleasant and professional. The rooms were very clean.I enjoyed the breakfast and the happy hour offered at this Hampton Inn. I do not believe any other Hampton offers a happy hour for their guests. It is a very relaxing time. The hotel offers free beer or wine., along with something good to eat every evening for the guests.

Stopped here one night after arriving at Charlotte Airport very late. Got the last room available and we were delighted with it. It was clean and comfortable. Guaranteed lowest rate was not the lowest for this hotel. Got a cheaper rate on Expedia. Not greeted as a Hilton Honors member. Hotel was under renovation and was not told. I have no complaints. I had one issue with my room, and once I made it known to the hotel staff, it was fixed within 10 minutes. Best service I've had at any hotel. I'll definitely consider staying here again.

Reliably Great! The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The cookies are Wonderful! This location is very convenient to restaurants that we enjoy. If they had a pet friendly room for small, quiet and clean dogs it would be ideal.

Always stay at the Hampton Inns I know what to expect. Clean, good breakfast, quiet and complimentary Internet. Sometimes they may be difficult to find off an Interstate , suggest you use a map of the hotel prior to your journey. I do not always plan ahead I just stop driving and then try to find a spot.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel and everyone and everything couldn't have been better! The rooms are clean and spacious and updated. Every staff member was courteous and helpful. The food at the bistro was excellent. Only negatives are the food and wine were overpriced but you're paying for the convenience. Also no 24 hr coffee but coffee maker is in the room. I'd definitely stay here again

Family stayed here night before son ran in cross country race at McAlpine Creek Park. It was fairly close, about 10 minutes away. I thought it was a nice hotel and convenient to where we needed to be. There was a Walmart close by as well as places to eat. It seemed to be a nice safe area.

We traveled to Matthews for a party, our stay at the Hampton Inn was Nice, the room was clean and hotel was quiet. The staff was very helpful, Large dining area for the free breakfast, food was Ok. Did not like Only receiving one set of towels. So if you bathed after arriving from the trip, there were no more towels to bathe that night or the next morning.

Room decor appeared mismatched. Could hear next door flush the loo. Room was clean. Had to use pillows to muffle sound from hallway. Parking area dark at night. Limited front of hotel parking. Front desk was pleasant and helpful.
