I hate having to stay at this location because of the horribly small bathrooms. The bathroom door opens into the bathroom, making the bathroom even more cramped. I hate bumping into the toilet when getting in and out of the shower, but this is the only half way decent place to stay in Kinston. The WIFI has never worked at this location and the carpet looks dirty. The Holiday Inn Express in Kinston always has broken glass in the parking lot from where someone's car was broken into. Very pleasant staff. This is an older property that appears to have been remodeled. As some stated, the bath room is small, but how much room do you need. The rooms are large, clean and well maintained. The mattress could stand to be changed, but not bad. Overall, this was a pleasant hotel. The breakfast well very good and well stocked. I would definitely stay here again.

Very comforting stay. The breakfast was great, very soft pillows. I rested well. I would definitely stay here again when I visit. I made prior reservations and check in was easy and convenient. Check out time is at 12:00 instead of 11:00 like most places. I liked that also.

Things we liked about this hotel: - Convenient to downtown Kinston - Clean room, lobby area, and breakfast area - Pleasant and friendly hotel staff (front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast bar) - Continental breakfast offered a good selection of quick breakfast items

Home for a community reunion. Great place to hang out with family and friends. Hotel centrally located to the festivities. Everyone was able to fellowship and mingle at will. The detour due to construction was clearly marked and adaptable. Staff provided directions for alternate routes, as needed.

The staff was friendly and very welcoming. People spoke and said hello around the hotel. The common area was very clean. But the internet wouldn't stay connected and the tv always displayed no signal. Considering I was traveling with no cell phone service being out of my home country, wifi was something I needed to stay in contact with my husband back home. It was disappointing when it would not stay connected.

It took 20 plus minutes to get a good key but we were given an upgrade for the wait. There was a family reunion and check in was a bit chaotic. The room was clean and we were offered assistance by 3 of the housekeeping staff while we waited at our room door for the front staff to correct the key problem.

I travel for work and find myself at this location every two weeks. I've never experienced less than superior customer service each time. Every staff member is working hard while ensuring your stay is comfortable. Especially one staff member in particular, Marquila. She greats each customer as if they were her best friend. She immediately asks what the occasion of the stay is and offers suggestions. She's kind, accommodating and, more importantly, welcoming. Even after hours of drive time she al... Read more

This isn't your typical Hampton Inn...I've long been a member of the Hilton Honors program for frequent chain patrons. This facility is much larger and has conference facilities generally associated with more 'upscale' Hilton brands. While the facility has been well maintained there are some beginning signs of aging and 'wear and tear' thus the 4 rating rather than better. The staff was very friendly and attentive and knowledgeable of the area, making several spot-on recommendations.

Called and tried to reserve a group booking of 12 rooms for 2 nights. Was given a rate that was higher than booking one room on the website. Gentleman could have cared less and was very short. I am a Hilton Honor member and generally will choose Hampton or Hilton over brands but this was a big disappointment in the company.

This is a typical Hampton Inn. It's relatively new, clean and comfortable. The staff is pleasant. Room rates are modest. The only criticism is the size of the bath. It's very small. Only one person can occupy the bath at a time. In contrast, the bedroom/sitting area is a comfortable size.

Hampton is a nice hotel. Paying attention to the details would have made my stay superb. There was a strand of hair in the sink that welcomed me, and the caulking around the shower was cracked and had responded specks in it. Besides those things, the stay was fine. Free breakfast, and free Internet is always a plus in my book. I just wish there could be different hot food options.

Nice clean hotel in a good location. We stayed here while on our way to the beach. Rooms clean and spacious. Easy to find and good food choices nearby. This was also a very quiet hotel. The only thing we did not like is that the emergency stairs at the end of the hallways require you to go outside to use them. They are not interior stairways.

My husband and I always enjoy our stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton. The staff is always professional and friendly and eager to serve. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. The food is very good, just like down home cooking, we really enjoyed all of the amenities offered. We were there to attend a funeral and forgot to pick up a box of tissue, the desk clerk went out of her way to accommodate us. The room was comfortable and very inviting.

The rooms are fairly spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioner worked (especially helpful as the temperatures approached 100┬░). The shower ceiling is a bit low for me (at 6'4" tall), though my wife (@ 5'1") doesn't see that as a challenge! The bathroom in general is a little tight. Pleasant and comfortable for the most part. Refrigerator in room was noisy cycling on and off, had to pull the plug out, it was keeping me awake. Value overall was very reasonable, would certainly stay there again. Just wish hotels in general would provide decent sized bath towels not the small ones typically provided which barely wrap around you (and I'm slightly built)....Americans are not small by nature!!!

Breakfast staff were A-plus! Coffee-tea-hot chocolate bar was 24/7 and always on point. All doors locked 24/7=safe and secured.
