Stayed at the Hampton Inn near Raleigh. We were received warmly, slept well, went on the internet without any trouble (for free), had breakfast in the morning and once again were treated warmly by the staff. "Same old, Same old" as far as we were concerned with Hampton Inn using Hilton Honors points and $40.

The hotel staff could not have been nicer. I wish I had names, but the front desk at check in was a very friendly woman and we also had the pleasure of meeting the manager who was so friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for us as we were in town for a concert in Raleigh. Much cheaper than staying downtown and the stay included a happy hour with pizza! And breakfast the next day. If I worked in this area and had to stay in a hotel, I would definitely return. It was almost like family! ... Read more

If you are like me and you travel with your job ALOT, you get accustomed to certain amenities. You get accustomed to modern say the least. This property is very clean; however, it is very, VERY old. From the wallpaper, to the prehistoric light features, to even the splinters I received from the old wooden desk....this property is in need of some updating. The staff is very friendly and the property is very clean; however, this property has definitely been around the block more th... Read more

Stayed here during trip from Tennessee to North Carolina coast. Accommodations were clean, but we were put into a 3rd floor room that had obviously been a smoking room at one time, as it still retained the smell of stale cigarette smoke. Recommend that if you stay at this hotel, that you ask the front desk for a room that was not previously a smoking room. Breakfast variety was just average.

I was extremely satisfied with my experience here. The room was comfortable and I particularly liked that there was a couch and table in addition to the bed. I like to watch TV someplace besides the bed for sleep hygiene reasons so this worked great. The hotel staff was accommodating and sincere during my interactions with them. The walls are a tad thin so I could hear my neighbor's TV at one point but it really wasn't bothersome and you're in a hotel so you can't complain that much! I would sta... Read more

Stayed here while visiting family. Hotel was clean, staff friendly and the hot breakfast buffet varied each morning and was delicious. Breakfast hostess Judy was a delight to talk to each morning. She made it a point to engage in conversation with each guest and truly made you feel welcomed. Will definitely stay here again when back in the area. The online check in and room selection process is a nice touch too!

Our travel site for work had this listed as preferred and close to the airport. Not within the 7 miles of RDU as listed when I booked and I was upset, but it was not the hotels fault. My experience from before I arrived, when I arrived, during the stay, and after the stay was nothing but professional and customer service focused. Rooms were quiet and the bed was comfortable. Nice TV. The breakfast was not bad and it offered lots of choices. Lots of restaurants nearby to choose from. Couple of small things broken in room but nothing important. For example, a towel hook was missing on bathroom wall but there was another one beside it. Overall it was a good visit and I would stay there again.

We found Judy! After reading the reviews of this Hampton Inn, I noticed that several people mentioned meeting an employee named Judy during breakfast (and she was just as nice and funny as everyone said!). The hotel is great- super clean, conveniently located, and staffed with a friendly crew. We stay at hotels almost every weekend due to softball tournaments. Our entire team has opted to stay at this hotel a few times over the past two months because of the great experience we have had.

our room was damp - everything in it and ultimately, my daughter and I and our clothes, etc. I don't know it this was caused by the air conditioner, which was very noisy, or location on the top (third) floor. The room and the hotel, in general, seemed outdated for the price.

This is your good, basic hotel. Complimentary breakfast seemed okay, but I'm picky and went out to eat. I did grab coffee and some fruit while I got ready for the day. A/C could have worked better. Loved the digital check in and being able to pick my own room. Maid service did a nice job.

Lobby was modern and up dated as I'd expect the Hampton Inn to be, but upon entering rooms you get thrown back in time! Well-worn decor and a stale and moldy smell upon entrance-and power went out during a storm which caused the air unit to leak across carpet...hence the moldy smell I'd guess. Sheets and towels were clean, nice tv, fridge and micro, and good complementary breakfast all for a great price with helpful front desk staff. Housekeeping could cleanup a lot better, tho!

I was very surprised at how badly this hotel has been maintained. It's not that old, yet they have pest problems (we were visited by beetles and crickets), Sheetrock was damaged and unrepaired in places, shower faucets were loose, floors were dirty and needed cleaned. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Our floors were shampooed and cleaned.

The location of this hotel is good, right off I-40. Various fast and semi-fast restaurants in close proximity. For a nicer casual meal, there is Simple Twist which also has a full bar. We ate there for lunch & dinner, and both meals were very good. The negative on this hotel is that the rooms need updating. The positive is the friendliness of the staff. Hotel has a small workout room and an outdoor pool.

This hotel needs an upgrade. There was no access to the internet. Our shower walls were broken where they had installed the shower rod, and not just a small amount. The floors were dirty. The floor around the air conditioner all the way to the bed was soaked. We stayed here in the middle of the summer during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Temps outside were in the high 90s with high humidity. We set the A/C in our room as low as it would go, not because we particularly like cold, but because it never really seemed to cool off in the room.
