Wonderful staff, great room, great service. My son and I stayed at this hotel for graduation from Duke. I needed a location close to the airport and not far from Duke and this proved easy for both. We had a suite which was cost efficient for us. The property and lake was a nice place for a walk in the morning or just a nice place to sit and read. I also used the pool area which was well maintained. I would stay again.

This hotel is ok for just a night stay if you have business in the area but its not somewhere I would want to stay to relax and linger. The shuttle does not travel far from the hotel so be prepared to make other arrangements. The gym is very small, hot and not really a nice place to work out. The outdoors walk around pond is full of geese and their droppings so its not really a great place to walk either. I just wanted to take the time to share with you our thoughts on the special occasion event (Pastoral Anniversary and 80th Birthday Celebration) held at DoubleTree on Friday, May 20th. When we arrived for the 4:30pm walk through, the room was visibly striking - simply beautiful! We did request to make some minor changes (moving tables further out); Anthony and Clifton quickly made changes with no problem. These guys were great to work with and on top of everything! We stayed at this hotel to find a location that would allow us to travel between Greensboro and Raleigh and it was a great choice. The hotel itself had a lot of features that I honestly wished we had more time to take advantage of including the pool, basketball/tennis court, fitness center, and park area by lake. For the hotel to be in a business district it has a nice ambiance. We stayed in the King Suite. It's a nice room but I do find the bi-fold doors to be pointless. If I was on a busi... Read more

I stay exclusively at Hilton properties. I stay in the Raleigh/Durham area regularly, as well. I thought I would try this hotel out tonight, my first time here. I was not prepared for the amount of guest noise. I am in a room just above and down an open hallway from the registration desk, and most of the disrespectful guests were creating noise from an elevated hallway in direct line of sight of the registration desk. At one point I even called the registration desk and asked for assistance quie... Read more

Terrible food and horrible service in the restaurant. Rooms are decent but night stand not clean and hair in sink. The hotel is in decent shape overall, but somewhat faded 90s Charme and clearly a cash cow.

My family stayed at this Double Tree for just one night as we were in town to attend a wedding. The facility was contemporary, clean and close to restaurants. The rooms were spacious and very nice. If I had to find a problem, it would be that the walls are a little thin. There were times we could hear the people next door while we lay in bed. It wasn't a major problem however. We had two tweens with us and the layout of the room was great. There was a living room w/a tv and sofa bed and then the... Read more

The bedrooms and linked sitting room/kitchenette are very spacious. Team are friendly and attentive. They provide free shuttle to local businesses. Breakfast and bar area is quite small, but works well, always a seat and good service

My husband and I stayed over Columbus Weekend for our anniversary and we had a wedding in Raleigh. We are from MA so we had an 11.5 hour ride. Check in was easy. We got in around 3 but no bellmen around. We loaded up a cart and headed to our room. We were on the 4th floor and had literally the last room on the left corridor. We booked the hotel because of the view of the lake we were going to enjoy since the had no balcony rooms left for the 5 days we were staying. Our view was of trees and a v... Read more

Good attention to customer service. Located near Raleigh-Durham International Airport, with courtesy shuttle to and from the airport. Rooms were clean, with all modern comforts and conveniences. We will be back.

Wasn't the best visit for me but Stuart Doring the GM really cares about his hotel he's running a uphill battle with an older hotel with its many shortcomings I think with an upcoming renovation and him at the helm it could be amazing again , the room needed a new mattress and a deep cleaning the basin gurgled all night

I did not receive Honors benefits. Service was slow and not friendly. I did not receive complimentary breakfast. Hotel is over priced for zero service. This hotel is fairly old. Lobby looks good. Rooms are out dated. Location is good.

I was here for a 2 day conference. Flew in...Flew out. Had to make 2 reservations for a 3 night stay. OK, so the conference did not block the night before and the night after. I get it. But I had to check out of my room Saturday morning, and check back into the same forrm for the Saturday night stay. Then they did not clean the room as housekkeeping saw it as a new check in..obviously it was a clean room I checked into. As I said...weird rules. They did get the room cleaned in the aftern... Clean, quiet, comfy full service. Not new but experienced staff and good maintenance make this Double Tree a great place to stay in the triangle. The food was good, hospitality great and bed was awesome.

This is a top quality hotel in the Raleigh-Durham area for the price. Our check-in and arrival experience was top notch. our room was spacious, clean and had excellent amenities. Internet connection upon log in was quick and pain free with no problems our entire stay. We used the on site restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The food was plentiful and delicious although meals may have been a little more than I expected. Overall an excellent experience!!!

We couldn't get a hotel room in downtown Durham this past weekend for an overnight stay after seeing a show at DPAC. So we elected for the DoubleTree, a few miles from the venue. It was a nice surprise. It's an older property. It reminded me of the Contemporary at Disney World in terms of exterior design. It seems to be a favorite of flight crews in and out of RDU. A couple of nice surprises were a floor set aside for Hilton Honors members. The rooms were equipped with a digital lock. Prior to a... Read more

I stayed here for a 3 day business trip in November of 2016. On business trips all I ever ask for is a clean room with working internet connectivity and somewhere acceptable to eat breakfast and dinner. This hotel hit those marks but also over-delivered. The rooms were huge, with optimal room to work and relax clutter-free. Another benefit was the hotel's fast and efficient elevators. I never waited more than few seconds at any time and usually had the elevator all to myself. Elevators are not ... Read more

If you want a quality suite at a terrific price in the Durham area--this is the place. Furthermore, the restaurant is pretty good and (please excuse the snobbishness) we come from New York. The hotel is only 15 minutes from Duke University where we were visiting with our daughter. If accepted and enrolled, this is where we will stay when we visit her.

The location, building, the rooms, and the other physical aspects of this DoubleTree hotel are very nice. In particular, the lake (I am not sure if it is man-made or not) in the back of the hotel is beautiful. It offers paddleboats (not in operation during our stay because of the season) and a running/walking path. Our room was a relatively large double room with two separate TV's and a balcony. Having a microwave and refrigerator was nice. They offer 6 different HBO stations on the TV. Of... Read more

At 30 degrees, we were expecting bedding for the pull out which I reserved in advance and requested it be set up. Not only was it not set up but they did mot have bedding for us to do ourselves. Overall we had a rough time sleeping on a pullout with towels and a mattress cover to keep warm.

This hotel has a great location; conveniently located right off I-40 close to shopping, restaurants and the airport. That's where the positive attributes end. This place needs to be fully gutted. The bed is lumpy and pillows are cheap. The linens are old, worn, dingy and scratchy. I am 5'4" yet I had to seriously bend to use that tiny, short toilet. I travel very often and am typically loyal to the Hilton brands, especially the DoubleTree. This facility is not at all representative of what I ha... Read more

Stay here if you have a choice. This is my very favorite hotel! The spacious sweets, lovely indoor/outdoor pool, wonderful staff, and reasonable prices should make this your first choice in Durham. It is mine. I have stayed here many times over the years.

I had a nice spacious room with a good workspace, a comfortable bed, and clean bathroom which is all I really need for an overnight work trip. It was conveniently located near the airport and where my meetings took place the next day. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices. Chocolate chip cookie at check-in is always a nice touch.

My family traveled to Raleigh-Durham for a quick one-night stay to visit relatives. This hotel was phenomenal. For the rate we paid, the quality of the room and hotel itself couldn't be beat. We arrived after 10:00 p.m., and the staff was as upbeat and friendly as if it was 10:00 a.m. They even had warm cookies waiting for us at that late hour. (One of my children would have liked a nut-free version, but a free cookie is a free cookie!) The breakfast bar was extremely impressive. There mu... Read more

Could not beat the price for the quality, cleanliness and size of the suite. Free wifi was a definite plus traveling with two teenagers. The pool area was exceptional. I also found the digital layout of the suites available a plus allowing me to change the room on line to one I found more suitable to my needs.
