A friend and I stayed at the Dunhill in early December for business on a Friday and stayed until Sunday. What an amazing hotel! Updated and very comfortable. We had a corner room on the front facing Tryon St and so enjoyed all the Christmas decorations in the lobby and on the street. Breakfast was included and what a nice surprise. It was in a beautiful parlor on the second floor. Felt like I was stepping into the past. We spent some time both nights in the lobby bar. Michael treated us so well,... Read more

Staff is very accommodating, rooms are comfy and the beds are amazingly cozy. Cons-walls are a little thin (can hear others conversation) and you can't rent movies. Not a deal breaker. Offers breakfast every day. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Dunhill. This was our second visit to the hotel. On both occasions, I had been in the area for business and finished the week at the Dunhill. The staff is always top rate. Mike and Eunna in the Lobby Bar, Thanks for the skill and friendliness that you used when taking care of us. John Beatty, thanks for the invite to the Art Reception and everything you do for your guests and staff. Thanks for taking care of us Mike Long, Chef de Cuisine. The entire s... Read more

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. It is in downtown Charlotte and near everything and easy to walk around the city center. The staff were welcoming and efficient with many checking in for a wedding on a Friday night. I would not recommended it for those in wheelchairs although it is accessible some of the areas are very tight to get around (although up to code). In the room the walls are paper thin and we heard all of the children crying and running through the hallways - even hea... Read more

Great option for New Year's Eve. Great location. We were able to walk to everything. We walked to Bearden Park to watch the fireworks. Great local restaurant options. Mellow Mushroom..... Will definitely stay again. My room service order was great... the first time it was wrong, but they immediately corrected my order and adjusted my bill. Be aware, the rooms are VERY small... And the hotel breakfast is not that good. But again, LOCATION, LOCATION, and LOCATION.

I had a day of delayed flights and was exhausted. I walked in the door and immediately was greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcome on a cold, nasty weather day. The charm of the entrance and the staff was nothing compared to my room. Such a pleasant surprise when I walked in to the room and found the appointments to be exceptional. All the furniture was actual antiques or made to look like it was. You would only expect a room like that in a much more expensive hotel. Then when I looked ... Read more

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the Dunhill in downtown Charlotte. It has an elegant charm and character with antique furnishings. Great place for a romantic stay and there are excellent restaurants in close walking distance. If you are like me and enjoy a change from the typical "cut & paste" look and feel of corporate propagation then you would probably find the Dunhill to be a unique and refreshing change from corporate chain hotel systems. My partner really enjoyed the view of d... Read more

I really wanted to love this hotel. A past resident of Charlotte, I have always wanted to stay here. Check in was very nice, quick, and easy plus it was complimentary wine Wednesday! We went out to dinner, looking forward to that piece of Ghirardelli chocolate from the turn down service for dessert. Wrong! No turndown- no chocolate! I did call to ask about turndown service but it had already occurred. Funny enough, the comp bottles of water made it to the mini-fridge. The breakfast was lovely,... Read more

Had a mini family reunion in Charlotte, NC. Since my relatives were staying at this hotel, I chose to also. I don't often stay downtown when I travel, so for me, the price was a bit high. It probably was reasonable for a downtown hotel. It was a really quaint hotel on the corner of Tryon St. It was easily accessible for all of us and there is validated parking right behind the hotel in a garage ($18 per day). What really amazed me was how friendly the entire staff was, including the hous... Read more

This place is a wonderful place to stay with great food and a great little bar. The night life is just a walk or Uber drive away. The area is Charming and was light up for Christmas with carriage rides as well. The staff was wonderful. We loved the charming room that takes you back in time with all the modern touches. We wish we were staying for more then one night.
