This hotel allows smoking and it reeks throughout the rooms. I was in a non smoking room on the 4th floor. I woke up one night to the smell of weed. The rooms are small. They are OK decorated, I've been in the new Sleep Inn which are nice. This particular hotel needs to follow the no smoking policy. Smokers choose to smoke, I should not be forced to breathe it! The parking lot is dim and scary. I will not be back. Period! The breakfast looked like slop. The staff were very nice. The towels we... Read more

The staff is very friendly and they try very hard to remember your name and make sure you get the type of room you are looking for. Jose runs the receptionist counter and you won't find a friendlier and professional person anywhere. House keeping does a great job, and so does the person preparing the great breakfast. Great value you are treated like you are staying in a much more expensive hotel.

Stayed here for a week for work. I booked through booking.com. When I got there to check in the didn't have my info. Juan was very rude at the front desk and even after I showed him my confirmation papers he still didn't care. Told me I had to call booking.com. So I did. They said they sent them my info 19 hrs before and it was accepted. I asked for a manager but GREG the general manager was even worse. It took me 57 minutes to get checked in. Never once did either of them smile or assure me thi... Read more

Stayed here one night while in area. It was close to relatives. There are signs but easy to miss turn onto street since traffic waiting for light easily blocks street. A few times, I cut thru gas station. Room was average. My view was of trees and partial view of someone's backyard. It was quieter than expected that close to highway. I booked thru Priceline and no problems at check in. Typical breakfast fare. Overall it was alright for one night, but wouldn't be my preference for longer stays.

We travel between FL. and NY and have family in NC. This is a perfect stopover. If you've stayed in a chain hotel, you know that they all have the same setup. What makes this one different is the staff. We were greeted by a friendly smiling Jose as we entered and checked in. He has the personality to make you feel like meeting up with an old friend. We had problems with the tv in our room and there wasn't another king room available. Jose came and checked the tv and when he couldn't fix it, h... Read more

We stayed at the Sleep Inn at exit 16A just outside of Charlotte, NC. This is an easy-to- get to motel just off of I-75 South. We stayed only one night. The front desk person was very competent and gave us directions for restaurants in the area. The motel is in need of significant updating and remodeling. Even though the Inn is advertised as No Smoking, the floor we stayed on smelled smoky. The common areas are old looking, the carpeting is stained, and the bathroom tile is in need of regrout... Very nice hotel. I was actually surprised how nice this hotel was considering it is a sleep inn. The rooms were spacious and modern. The hotel has been taken care of. Breakfast was nice and the staff on all the shifts were very friendly. There was a middle age Hispanic guy who checked me in and was very nice.

Excellent accommodations and friendly service. Night desk clerk named Jose was extremely accommodating to us after the place we booked was horrendous and required us to move for our own health and well-being. Clean rooms and Jose made sure all our needs were met. He even called the room to make sure there was nothing else we needed! I would definitely stay there again if I were to return to Charlotte again.

I stayed there three nights. It has that throw some new paint on an old building and called it renovated feel to it. Hot breakfast... any other place I have stayed had someone that actually cooked sausage, eggs, bacon etc for breakfast. By "hot breakfast" this hotel meant throw this frozen sausage biscuit in the microwave and have at it. Some of the lamps in my room didn't have the on/off button on it. It had been broken off. The shower knob in my room was broken off also. As I mentione... Read more

This is a nice hotel in the Charlotte area. Check-in and out were very fast and efficient. The room had excellent AC that was very quiet. The room had a shower, no tub. The room overall was very quiet. Breakfast was very good. There was an attendant the replenished supplies. The room was average size. It had a desk and chair and a second chair. The mattress was soft, and the towels were especially soft. USA Today was available. The only negative was that the room needed maintenance. ... Read more

July 3rd. Room 509. Tried to give them benefit of doubt in spite of bad reviews. Had two adjoining rooms. Checked in. One wasn't cleaned. Was told it would be taken care of. We left items and departed. Left to go to family function and came back at midnight. Room still wasn't clean. 12 hours later. The person on the night shift was NASTY about it. I guess he was afraid he was going to have to clean it. Exactly how he acted. Gave us a new room. 508. We had our 66 yo matriarch and kids with us. A ... Read more

We booked online just passing through. It was clean and comfortable as advertised. Your standard room here but nice for a quick stay. Beds were comfy just be weary of the shower. Through that rubber mat thing down otherwise they can be quite slippery.

Jose at the front desk is definitely the best part of this hotel. From the rickety elevator to the torn curtain in our room to the sub par breakfast with very few items out even though the hotel was booked to capacity made us wish we would have driven a little further.

This hotel is HORRIBLE. Their wifi sucks, pool is very small, only have showers, breakfast selection is small, racist people off the street come in disrespecting kids, police being called & the manager is rude and has bad customer service.
