I have two young children and I'm always looking for the cleanest hotel I can find, within my budget. I must say, at first I was not fond of the checkin process. It took nearly an hour and when I got up to my room, it looked like someone was already staying in it. After resolving everything with the front desk, and getting a new room, I was impressed. They had clearly been renovating the rooms and I liked the changes. Everything in the room, with the exception of the desk and tv stand, were bran... Read more

I was supposed to stay at this Hotel for two nights. Upon check in, I was given my room key and sent along...no water, no treats, no thank you for being a Diamond Member....certainly no upgrade. Upon checking into my room, the room was quite nice, but I was unable to load a webpage. I could connect to the wireless internet and supposedly had a strong signal...just nothing. I called the front desk and inquired about the internet service. I was told that it is likely because the hotel is ful... Read more

Bottom line - look elsewhere. Older Embassy Suites in need of a lot of work. Atrium renovations underway, so be prepared for construction noises during the day. As a Diamond member, the status was not noted except for the bag with two waters. The evenly renovated room is furnished with ugly, low budget furniture that is uncomfortable. The TV in the living room did not work with either remote control . I notified the front desk at check-in. They promised someone to take care of it. No one showe... Read more

I have stayed here numerous times when in town for business. They have spacious, clean and updated rooms. Love the open atrium style hotel because there is a good amount of activity and you do not feel closed in. They offer a great free breakfast, which includes the buffet as well as a made to order omelette and egg option with two of the friendliest women cooking away with a smile. This hotel is close to the airport and other venues in Charlotte. The hotel has a dramatic water feature which was very impressive in 1985. The suite was clean and the bedding clean and impeccably made. I did work in the 'office' side of the room and was surprised by housekeeping opening my door while I was on a call. Knock first next time? I did not use the restaurant but, like the lobby, seemed dated, dark and used. The happy hour was delightful and free. Thanks! We stayed with a large group ... Read more

The lady working at the desk was very nice. We were able to check in early so that was a plus. The breakfast was great. Potatoes were a little cold both mornings. But everything was very good. Our room looked as if it needed to be painted. I saw little crack by the window. Phones didn't work but they took care of that ASAP. Found out late that night the light over the bed wasn't working either. Over all a very good experience. This was my second time staying there. I love the fact it's so close ... Read more

As a female traveling on my own I get sceptical about hotel security. This hotel is really safe and clean, with friendly staff. Any problems I had they handled everything from picking me up from the airport, to ensuring I had enough clean towels. Im gluten intolerant which is a pain, but the breakfast staff, who do their jobs with a lot of pride and humour including Wander. Where really good about it and understood needed. They where really great about everything and I had a blast.

This hotel is undergoing major renovations right now. The entire lobby - which goes up the entire center of the hotel - looks like a warzone and is covered by plastic. This is a necessary evil I'm sure in order to complete renovations. The rooms are nice enough inside, however. The staff is also very nice and friendly. If you get a discounted rate and plan to stay mostly in the rooms, this may be okay. The biggest problem we had was that the entire hotel was overrun by teen rugby players... Read more

We stayed here as part of a wedding group. The bride/groom got us all an extra $20 per night discount since the construction was supposed to be finished but was nowhere near done. They also somehow got the construction to stop for the weekend. Others guests who arrived earlier on Friday said that the jackhammers and other tools were incredibly loud so I'm glad we missed that. I have stayed at many Embassy Suites this was by far the worst. The rooms were not very clean. Our bathroom door did not work, and marks on it as though someone ripped something off it. The whole reason I book a room here is for the kids to be able to swim and burn some energy, the pool was so bad they had to close it, and when brought up the desk was rude. They were in the process of remodeling so it was mess, and food was very expensive.

The staff was excellent and very helpful. Even though the hotel was under construction it was kept clean and quiet. The location of the hotel was convenient between the airport and uptown. Hotel atrium is under construction as previous reviews states but hey that's understandable if they want to upgrade but I honestly think they should give some type of compensation due to this because it's really a mess. The hotel is under renovation and they have plastic sheeting up the railing on each floor. Construction is extremely loud during the day; they knock off around 5:30 or so. However, the other areas of the hotel are grim: breakfast/happy hour area is dingy, dirty, and pretty sad atmosphere. Food is ok; staff are extremely friendly and nice. Rooms are run down and not worth $150/night plus.

Although the location to the airport and surrounding business was convenient, the hotel was under construction and was dirty. The cost of the room was too high for the value. Large rooms equipped with a kitchen make this hotel a great place for traveling families, and the helpful and friendly staff will make sure the stay is as comfortable as possible. Hilton should have done better with the remodel. I expected better quality than what I was faced with. The breakfast has fallen off, they kept it stocked but the quality was not what I remember. Not sure where to start, but the entire weekend was a complete disaster! I was there for a family reunion in July of 2016. I made several reservations via the website. As an Hhonors member I received a discount rate or what I thought was a discount for my last room. Little did I know that it was a prepaid discount. When I found out via my credit card what happened, I immediately contacted the hotel to change my rate to a AAA discount and keep my other rooms at standard rate. As of this date and it's been 3 weeks now, I have not received my credit back and so far I have been given the run around about my refund. At t... Read more

The hotel was convenient to the activities that we attended. Some renovations were in process; however, the overall presentation was still very nice. The custom order breakfast bar where you can order an omelette was not available.

Was made to move in the middle of a stay. Promised compensation, never seen it. Evening reception was a joke, bartenders didn't have a clue and wasn't interested in serving you. Really disappointing stay,,,,,

We were not aware that the hotel was under construction (it's gorgeous by the way), but it meant that breakfast was in Anna k room and not your typical "Embassy" breakfast. Also, internet is very spotty, only works on lower levels so if you're above 5th floor you won't get it... otherwise, suite was AMAZING and super comfortable!

We love the Hilton family of hotels. We chose Embassy Suites because it was close to family and within 7 miles from the airport. Staff was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast offered buffet or you could have eggs and omelets prepared fresh.

Totally new hotel. A very modern and open feel and not the typical Embassy suites. No ferns, no rod iron furniture. Check in was fast. Parking was plentiful. Near highway. Some food around. hotel bar had a nice vibe. Rooms were clean and bed was comfy!

Large, clean embassy suites in a central and convenient location in Charlotte. Very neat Queens college, airport and shopping. Nothing out of the ordinary from the bar and but remodeling and currently using the ample space well

This is the standard Embassy Suites hotel...spacious room, nice amenities, kitchenette, 2 televisions and 2 separate rooms. Breakfast is wonderful, except for the abundance of tv's tuned to sports news on every wall! Chef is delightful, food is great and everyone very friendly. Free pick up and return to airport BUT if you arrive after 11 p.m. you have to pay for a taxi and front desk will return your fare. Don't forget to ask taxi for a receipt.

We have stayed here many times and find the location perfect for shopping and the airport. It has been refurbished and the main areas look wonderful. When we arrived the drain in the shower was clogged. They fixed the same day we reported it. There was soap scum in the shower from the time we arrived until the day before we left. Our room was never vacuumed as the same dirt was on the floor every day. There was a piece of cookie on the floor from previous guests. There was garbage under t... Read more

First of all, there is A LOT of construction going on. Even so, it was a great stay. The Hilton management should give bonuses to those working in the hotel. They went above and beyond to make sure things were OK for everyone. The room was extremely clean, great bed, great pillows - but again, the people - behind the desk, in the kitchen, etc., were just so great. Seriously, Hilton should give everyone working there a bonus.
