Knowledgeable and Personable front desk staff. Cleanliness of rooms was superb! LOVED the text messaging method of communication, quick and efficient! Highly Recommended. If ever in the Charlotte area, definitely a MUST hotel to stay at; conveniently located to local colleges and universities, midtown, and local shopping centers/malls.

My company is based in Charlotte so I come in once a month for a couple of days and always try to get a room at the Doubletree. They recently updated their lobby and restaurant and it is superb- value and selection. Everyone there bends over backwards to help with anything. I love it- makes me feel at home!

We ordered a room with "double beds" thinking that double meant two queens or at least two full sized beds. The beds were so tiny it was like sleeping on a twin sized bed. The room was nice otherwise. Parking was very pricey and would rather stay somewhere that didn't cost $15 a night for parking . Overall the hotel was nice but wouldn't return.

This as a typical doubletree property. Clean and friendly service. Basically on the campus of Johnson and Wales. Not right in the center of town. A decent walk uphill to the center of town. Overall a pleasant experience. Would prefer to be closer where the activity is.

Not a bad hotel to stay one night in. We arrived late (~9:55 pm) were able to check in fast, room was easy and clean. The bar is fine for a quick meal, but beware, they stop serving real food at 10 and go to bar bites until 11. The water and cookies on checkin are always a nice touch! The room was clean and well decorated, and the bed was pretty comfortable. Note: if you park in the parking lot, you need your room key to get out!! Very clean and updated rooms. Double beds weren't very comfortable, I'll be honest. Accommodating, friendly staff. NO BREAKFAST, which was a bummer. Nice saltwater pool/patio. Nice location on the west side of uptown, so I could walk to work or wherever really. Really close to the interstate was well. We were given complimentary "pantry" access which was basically a snack room with key card access, so that was nice for our daughter.

I loved the warm cookie and cold water I received at checkin (as a Hilton Honors member - but everyone should be a member!). Was in town for a short visit, this hotel was very convenient, clean and comfortable. Love the bottled waters and cookie I received upon check-in. The room was nice. The parking is not the best situation since you have to pay $14 per day and I had to walk quite a ways from my vehicle to the hotel with luggage in tow up and down steps (which is why water was much appreciated upon check-in). The cookie was so good I decided to order a tin to go the next morning before I checked out so I could shar... Read more

loved the free shuttle to Uptown - this was very convenient for work. It was quick and easy. Rooms were great, staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. The location, although not uptown Charlotte was close enough for a quick cab or shuttle ride.

Enjoyed my 4 night stay to visit my daughter at Johnson and Wales University. Clean hotel and friendly staff. This is the only hotel that is right there at her college. Easy walk into the city. Comfortable rooms.

Visited this hotel for the weekend to visit my daughter and had a great experience. Entered the hotel felt welcomed. The room was clean and very comfortable. Every time we left the hotel for an outing and came back we felt welcome each and like we were coming home. Will definitely come back again.

I travel a lot for business and the staff at this hotel are some of the best I have ever experienced! They are so friendly, helpful and accommodating and made my trip an absolute pleasure! We had an issue with one of our cabs trying to scam us and the staff was incredible at helping us. Way to go double tree staff! The rooms were also very clean and modern. Great stay!

Went for a weekend trip with my husband to see a Hornets game. This hotel is located just a short walk to the stadium and close to everything downtown Charlotte has to offer! The staff was great! Check-in went smooth. They gave us a double bed and I had requested a King, they changed our room with no problem! Didn't eat at the restaurant on site but it seemed like a great place to eat! Overall we had a great time. I will definitely stay here again!

Warm chocolate chips and WALNUTS. These are the reason I look forward to a stay at the DoubleTree. Staff are always extra friendly at the DoubleTree. They are approachable and helpful. Checking in with the mobile app and being offered the option to select the actual room was new to me. Amenities are always high quality.

Great service, great staff, great location. I was greeted with great smile which set the stage for a wonderful stay. The restaurant had a good menu if you choose to eat in. I definitely recommend staying here.

This is a decent mid to lower lever facility. Ownership has recently remodeled the ground level and raised prices. They added what is supposed to be an "upscale restaurant" that was poorly executed in every respect. From the d├ęcor, to the layout to the preparation of the food , to the diner service staff. Location Downtown Charlotte is also poor. Only stay there if you absolutely have no other choice downtown, or are forced by your company to do so..... and eat at Dressler's.

Booked the DoubleTree for a short stay. I ended up with the 'Sweet Rewards' room which is really a standard room on the 2nd floor which gives you access to a 'pantry' using your room key, the pantry is filled with snacks like chips, granola bars, loose candy and a small refrigerator with soda. The soda was not well stocked as I found out and not much bottled water, none was available. Also, most rooms had a microwave, but the rooms on the 2nd floor did not, you had to pay extra, like $8-10... Read more
