Very nicely appointed (fixtures, linens, vanity, etc) and clean. A lovely attractive room in a great location. I particularly loved the little vanity nook where I could sit and dry my hair and use the make-up mirror. Franklin St had lots of quaint shops and restaurants. Parking at hotel was easy even though the deck was closed for renovations

The Franklin Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC is one of the best. I stay in many hotels worldwide and this is one I look forward to staying in. The staff is warm, welcoming, efficient and professional. The facility is clean, the rooms very well appointed and the beds are supremely comfortable with elegant linens. The bar has everything you may need and room service is swift with delicious food.

Stayed here on a business trip. The hotel clearly differentiate itself from other chain hotel and feels like a boutique hotel. The check-in was quick and the hotel is really well appointed and well located. The rooms were amongst the best I have seen especially with respect to lightening in the room. The room felt very relaxing and the light decor complimented it. The room service food was again very good with good vegetarian options. Definitely one of the best hotel in RDU area.

The Franklin hotel is definitely a GEM in the heart of Chapel Hill. The hotel is beautiful inside and very clean. The parking deck was going through some renovations, but parking was available in the satellite parking lot. The hotel is in walking distance to several restaurants. They also have a restaurant in the hotel which we did not visit.

I had to go to Chapel Hill to pick my son up from camp and stayed at the Franklin Hotel overnight. I am neurotic about hotels and don't like to stay in them if I don't have to. That being said, this was a beautiful hotel, perfectly located in downtown Chapel Hill and the staff was the BEST I have ever encountered. I thought the price of $329 after taxes was a bit steep for what you get, especially for a week night. Room was spacious enough and very clean but could use some touch ups. The location is good for walking to Carborro and places around Chapel Hill so I guess that's why it's so high. But it was almost double from their June prices. This hotel is close proximity to UNC which was great. Given the type of property, would have expected the staff to actually provide good customer service and that was not the case. They were not welcoming or friendly and did not treat me as a valued guest. I will never stay at this property again. The front desk staff needs customer service training.

This hotel offers location, convenience, and wonderful accomodations. The staff is friendly and the rooms are luxurious. From this location you can park your car and enjoy a walk to shops and dining on Franklin Street or to Kenan Stadium for a football game!

I was uncertain where to stay and I was so glad that my daughter in law suggested The Franklin. From the minute I arrived all of the staff was very helpful. The room was so comforting and comfortable. It was a bit of Europe with a homey feeling. The bar and breakfast were welcoming and when you are traveling alone that is most appreciated.

We spent one night here. The location is ideal. Both Chapel Hill and Carrboro are within walking distance. The hotel also has a shuttle to take you anywhere in town. Check in was quick and super friendly. We were offered water and fresh cookies. There is free parking in back of the hotel. We stayed in a suite- 2 rooms and a large bathroom and a nice terrace. The bed was very comfortable. Nice towels and bath products. The room was quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Centrally located, close to great restaurant options. Faster internet, friendly staff, courteous turn down service with bottles of Fiji water and chocolate treats. Equipment for hearing impaired. only negative: no tube in my room, otherwise excellent hotel and stay experience.
