The price was great, but you get what you pay for. This place is a little on the seedy side, and I would have loved the opportunity to redesign the way they used the space. Pretty impressed with the appearance of the hotel in the lobby, the pool area, and the rooms. Hot breakfast buffet was very adequate. Would stay here again. Pool is closed because of some tile work but may open soon. Towels not huge but room is very clean and happy with all the amenities.

The rooms looked great, front desk personnel were friendly. The location was very Uber-friendly. But the bed wasn't very comfortable. My biggest complaint was the loud AC units; I kept waking up at night due to its sound. It was too warm out to not have it on at night. I won't stay again if I can't sleep at night with those loud AC units.

The customer service was EXCELLENT. Every hotel associate I encountered was nice and genuine. Everything else was okay. I realize my room stay was during Memorial Day weekend and the hotel was at a decent location, but it definitely was not worth a nightly average of $190 for two nights. We arrived in Ash illegal for the 1/2 marathon. The first thing we encountered was the pool was not functional. This is a great amenity to have after running 13.1 miles. The next thing was the air conditioning was sporadic, either to hot or too cool when remaining on the same setting. The air conditioning was also very noisy and did not allow for a good nights sleep. It has been over five years since I have stayed at this Days Inn. I was not disappointed with my latest stay. I was told that they are freshening up the rooms which is nice. I have no complaints with my room. The bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was outstanding. And you can't beat the location. And the staff was very helpful. I will return!

Our room smelled like mildew they had maintenance come in and spray air freshener int the room, the air conditioner didn't cool the room, and when we got there they tell us the pool is out for the weekend. Which I told them my kids was really excited, a heads up before hand and I would've switched hotels.One positive was the breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable.

We haven't stayed in a Days Inn in years but was looking for an inexpensive place to stay. When we walked in, we were very surprised and impressed at how high end the room was. No high end hotel could have been any nicer than the room we stayed in at the Asheville Days Inn. The free breakfast was delicious, too! We will definitely stay here again.

Checked in at 4:30 PM and at 10:00 PM was requested to move our car to the other side of the property. Was told it was to repave the parking lot. No prior notice was given. We should have never been given a room on that side of the property.

We enjoyed our stay. We stay at this hotel a lot when we come to Asheville. We loved the breakfast great variety to choose from. Service is excellent and very friendly. Not very expensive when we come in June but we have stayed in the Fall and it is very expensive then. Rooms are good and bed sleeps great. Rooms are clean.

A great hotel, very clean, great value. Their breakfast was one of the best we have had. They even had turkey sausage in addition to regular sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, variety of cereals, yogurt and fruit. We would stay here again.

They were very accommodating, quite full as well as helpful. Their breakfast was outstanding as well as tasty southern meal. Only thing that surprised me was the rate, but I guess that is what the market is today. Might stop by again on another trip into that area. I just wish I had know about the restrictions and requirement on your Rewards Program ahead of time, seeing that I travel only several times per year !

I love staying here when I visit Asheville for work. I usually stay 3 nights each visit. I adore the housekeeping staff! I finally got to stay when the pool was open last week and it was wonderful. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is great.

The bed sunk in the middle - must have been 50 years old! Paint was peeling in the bathroom and the room smelled musty! I spent $185 for the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in and I have been all over the world! Days Inn should be embarrassed to let anyone stay in this room - I wouldn't even have paid $50 for the room. The breakfast was the only thing of any value.

When vacationing this summer, we stopped en route (with our Maltese dog) and spent the night in the Days Inn in Asheville, North Carolina. While dog friendly and with friendly staff, I thought the fee excessive at over $180 for a very average room with limited amenities.

Rooms had a slightly nice upgrade, bathroom and shower was not the cleanest. But overall it is a decent place to stay for fairly cheap. I was impressed by the breakfast buffet. It had a lot of variety, was clean, and I didn't feel crammed at all.

I was very impressed with this facility. We stayed here when our reservation at another hotel did not go through when we arrived. Days Inn took us in with a very good rate that also allowed our dog. The room was very clean with nice bed linens, TV and frig. We swam in the huge pool that was clean and well maintained. I only wish they had more than one sun umbrella because it is in full sun. Nice facilities, nice staff, room appears very clean. After getting a shower I grabbed a towel to dry off with and when I unfolded the towel there was a streak of something on the towel and what appeared to be pubic hair attached to the smear. The staff brought new towels without question, but didn't seem too concerned about the initial towel being dirty.

My experience with Days Inn Asheville Mall was pleasant as usual. There is the convenience of being close to downtown Asheville as well as the outlying areas. Breakfast was a key factor. All in all, I would recommend the Days Inn Asheville Mall to anyone.

The room was very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a full buffet with many delicious hot choices. There was a problem with a clogged sink when we arrived. We called the front desk and a maintenance man was there to fix it within 10 minutes.

Hotel was comfy & clean. Pool was nice & refreshing. Water in pool was crystal clear. The beds and pillows were soft & provided a good night of rest. The AC was a little old and worked extra hard to keep room cool. Breakfast had a variety of items and tasty. The staff was helpful. Rate was a little high I thought for the outdated rooms. We had a very nice stay. Hotel staff was very diligent and helpful with every request. Location is very convenient to Downtown Asheville and Biltmore Village and has lots of stores and restaurants at walking distance, cool views of the mountains. Wow, what a value. From check-in, the staff was super nice and helpful. We stayed in a suite which was as big as an apartment! Caution tho, the sofa doesn't fold out. However they gave us a roll away cot. Possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The swimming pool area was spotless and the pool was perfect. We will definitely stay there again. Exit 55 on I-40, on south end is Asheville.

Was only here one night and very glad that was all. Beds were very uncomfortable, carpet stained, and bathroom was dirty and tub was slow to drain. The total over the edge for me was the spider in the bathroom! Ugh! I never would of guessed the rooms to be of this quality from the lobby area which was very nice. Pool area was also pleasant looking. Did not have breakfast.

I don't know happened to my original review, but I am repeating it to warn people about this place. The only reason it isn't one star is the breakfast. It was decent and the dining area looked clean. However, our room was a disaster. There is no fan in the bathroom, just a "vent" (I asked...) and the room was dank as a result. We never really got the moisture out the two days we were there. It was a very friendly stay! The staff was great! We got in late and they got us in our room in a timely manner. Our room was a smoking room because that is all they had. It was what we expected in being a smoking room. There was a spot or two in the bathroom that looked weird and a spot by the sink. The air also didn't get as cold as we wanted it too but breakfast was great and so was the stay!! It was a good stay!

Got it later than expected. First room smelled like a an ashtray. Promptly went to the front desk and was given another room and a discounted night. The second room was ok at best. Free of bed bugs, but lots of debris in the bed, amost like the linens had been dropped in the street. The head boards were greasy from previous costumers heads and hands. The toilet had hair on it. I have stayed at this motel several times now on my way to Black Mountain for a church meeting. I have truly enjoyed it and the breakfast the next morning is great and one of the very best of motels I have stayed at. If I am ever back that way again I plan on stopping by again.

I am a fight attendant and stay in many hotels. Nothing really surprises me. I gotta say that this Best Western in AVL did just that. The steps up too our room where covered in a outdoor carpeting that was wearing away. There was also visible signs rusting spots in the stairs. Belongings left under the beds from previous customers and food left in refrigerator from previous customers lead me to believe the room was not cleaned well between customers. Could not connect to Internet. When I called the front desk they just said that that is a problem for some rooms there. The mattresses are so old that they sink in the middle. Expensive place to stay for what you get/ don't get.

I was in room 103.The room was clean .The TV was not showing many stations.Maintenance had to adjust wiring.The room smell like cigarettes.I asked for air freshner.It was sprayed in vent but the smell was still in the room.I have allergies & I coughed a lot in this atmosphere .

Big fat shame on Days Inn for renting room 204 as a non smoking room. Maybe for the last few days it's been non smoking, but the stench of tobacco was so intense I had to put Vicks in my nose to try and sleep. Even that wasn't enough to kill the odor. Now that we are home, our smelly suitcases are out in the sun and everything we took on the trip needs to be laundered. Great location in Asheville. Easy access to the highway to get to various places. I was there with a sports team. When we had a very early match, the staff opened the breakfast room 15 minutes early to accommodate us, which we all appreciated very much. We would have loved some more hangers in our closet and a Channel Guide for the TV. The beds were very comfortable.

Although the staff was very good to us, the hotel in general needs some major work. We were in a handicapped room which was less than expected. The bottom was hanging off the door. The bathroom door grate was dirty. The handicapped bathroom was iffy with 2 areas designed for Kleenex and a box sitting on the counter. It just needs an overall update. Our stay was fine and we made it thru, but we paid less for a room the night before with a much nicer room.

Plan ahead for Asheville or you'll be stuck paying $250 and up for a roadside motel experience. Awful. Toilet was semi bolted to gaping hole in tile floor. It rocked. There was not a place to park near the door for initial check in. I park on the other side of the building. Had some issues with the gate at the pool, but an employee came to my aid and escorted to the lobby. Everyone was courteous and helpful. Ample parking outside of room itself. Our stay was for the show in Asheville at the civic center. The hotel isn't bad itself. The beds are comfortable everything was clean and the furniture and rooms were modernish. Only complaints are the security guard who was very rude, and the price. For a single night stay it was 215 dollars! I get that a show was in town that night but come on. The room was clean. It smelled kind of stuffy at first. My only complaint was that during my shower, they were evidently working on the water, because I lost all water pressure for a few minutes. The Wi-Fi barely picked up in our room. The breakfast buffet is great though.

I booked this hotel mostly for the location. Minutes from downtown Asheville perfect. Outdated rooms had no Elevator was my biggest problem. Good for the money. The sink and tub is always backed up with water not good. Oh well. I'm not living in a hotel.

Worn out beds and thin walls. Overpriced for the quality. I've had better nights sleep in motels that cost half of this place. I'm awake at 4am because I can't sleep in a bed that is shaped like a taco shell. Not happy at all...

We arrived at the Days Inn. The woman at the desk was okay, not terribly friendly. It was apparent the room had been renovated: new carpet, freshly painted walls with a color scheme, new furniture, "granite" (not real) sink area. However, the room smelled bad! This hotel was attempting to update the decor, but the room was not clean (hair everywhere and bathroom was dirty), the coffee and shampoo was not stocked, and other guests were making noise in the parking lot late at night and early morning. The breakfast buffet was decent and lots of options. It was close drive to downtown Asheville, Biltmore, and only 15 minutes from Blue Ridge Pkwy. Nice view of the mountains but the neighborhood was not great. Internet wifi did not work.

The staff is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We stayed the night of the 13th, so whoever was on duty should receive an ovation. The room was clean. The bed was superior, very comfortable. It is within walking distance to a mall, and there is a Waffle house about 1/2 a block from motel. Not your typical Days Inn. This one costs $200 night in October or what they call leafing season. Location is on Tunnel Rd near all the ugly stuff like Appleby's and Carrabas. You can get downtown fairly quickly and also reasonably close to Biltmore Village. There have got to be cheaper options around the area just look closer. Basically clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Had major plumbing problem in first room, and they moved me immediately to a different room which was fine. The complimentary breakfast was good. Needs some cosmetic maintenance, i.e., peeling wallpaper, paint, etc. Carpeting was worn, and fixtures looked old, but that was not a deal-breaker.

I was actually pretty stunned by the treatment received while staying at this hotel. I made a reservation online last minute because my uncle was sick in the hospital in Asheville, and when I arrived I noticed that they booked me to a smoking room. They talk to me as if it was my fault and they didn't do much to help me out. They wanted to charge me $240 for one night to be able to stay in a non-smoking room. I was not impressed by their customer service. Would not recommend this hotel.
