We recently had a family reunion in Asheville, all guests stayed at the Residence Inn on Biltmore Avenue. The hotel was well located close to historic Biltmore Village, the Biltmore Estate and many wonderful restaurants are nearby. The staff at the hotel exceeded our expectations -- everyone from reception to housekeeping and catering made our stay very special. They were friendly and helpful in every possible way. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Every room had a full kitchen... Read more

Great location with easy accessibility to Biltmore. Rooms are big and nice and clean. Great mattresses and we enjoyed our break here to the fullest. Walk able to Biltmore gift shop. Great staff. Pool was great too. Only problem was some people did not clean up after their dogs and that made the dog area unclean and disgusting.

Outstanding place to stay in Asheville. Suites are spacious, comfortable and well appointed with everything you need to relax and feel at home. Great location close to everything. Beds are super comfy, made up with sparking clean duvet covers instead of the usual scary bedspreads. Free hot breakfast with lots of variety. Free internet. Free "mixers" with nice snacks (enough for a meal for most gals). Hotel is very quiet and calm. Excellent front desk staff--all pros. Staying on the third floo... Read more

We were in town to attend our granddaughters graduation from AB Tech and were meeting other family members there. I had booked this Residence Inn a couple of months in advance so I could get a 2 bedroom suite for all of us to stay together. When we arrived, we were told that they could not provide a 2 bedroom suite but said we could have 2 separate rooms at the same rate. At first they said they could not get 2 rooms near each other on the same floor, but kept looking and finally found 2 acro... Read more

Stayed two nights during a girls' weekend. The location was perfect for visiting downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. The staff was very friendly (especially Shayne...Thanks!), the room was clean and breakfast was hot. We were in a two bedroom suite which was quiet and pleasant. I read reviews about the street and hospital noise, but we did not experience any of that. This was the first time I slept on a memory foam mattress and I really liked it. I would highly recommend the Reside... Read more

Son had surgery at Mission Hospital (0.3 mi). RI extended us warm hospitality and spacious, clean quarters for an uncertain length of stay. A delicious breakfast was served. Entire staff was gracious. Marriott is definitely ahead of most innkeepers.

I travel quite a bit and always stay in a Marriott of sorts. Full Service, or Residence Inns, courtyards. But this Residence Inn Asheville Biltmore has set the bar high. The staff are very friendly, they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The breakfast is outstanding and even better than some full service Marriotts. Three nights a week there is a managers evening dinner special (complimentary) and they take such pride in their presentation and preparation of their food. They truly set... Read more

I drove from Oklahoma City, Ok. picked up my Mother in Memphis, Tn. and drove to Asheville, NC the next day. The front desk was warm and friendly the room was very clean. We had a two bedroom suite for the one night stay as we were headed to Fayetteville, NC the next day for my nieces graduation. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety to choose from. It was chilly(59 degrees) we used the fire place in the room which was on a timer that kept the chill away until we turned in. The fr... Read more

We stayed at this location two nights. It is located less than a half mile from the Biltmore entrance and even closer to the Biltmore Village restaurants and shops. That was the focus of our trip, so we were happy with the location. I would not walk to any of these areas, however, due to close busy street traffic. We did not have a chance to check out the river area and downtown Asheville area, but apparently, it is close, too. All staff members were friendly and went out of their way to speak t... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights and found the hotel in a very convenient location. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean. If you read other reviews, you see that the are differing opinions on the beds. The are replacing the mattresses and the old mattresses are quiet hard. The new mattresses are comfortable. The manager told me there are also a few memory foam mattresses. When I called to confirm my reservation I asked about the mattresses and was told I was currently booked i... Read more

Great property and staff! I stayed here 3 weeks at start of a new film project (in Feb) and again one night in July before leaving this beautiful city. So many great things about Asheville. This hotel is certainly one of them. We moved into an apt for 4.5 months in March and often wished we would have stayed at the Res. Inn for the duration of our assignment. Not a new property but well maintained and the staff always made us feel welcome. Breakfast is great with Pepe snd Krystal always adding ... Read more

This was a last minute trip for my wife and I so we hadn't made reservations. Several other area hotels were sold out. Having good experiences with the Marriott brand in the past, we decided to try this Residence Inn. The highlight of the stay (one night only!) was the gentleman who checked us in late that afternoon. He was both friendly and professional. The room itself looked OK until we saw the bathroom. It literally looked like something one would expect at a budget hotel like Super 8. At o... Read more

I will start with the pro's. If you have a pet they are pet friendly- lots of dogs at the hotel. I did hear dogs barking a few times but it really didn't bother us. The free breakfast is better than most - kids loved it. Hotel is convenient with parking and distance to things in town. They have happy hour buffet on Mon-Wed. The beds were comfy and the room itself was spacious and linens were clean. Shane at the front desk was awesome, very nice and very accommodating. The business center is... Read more

I was in town for a wedding with family and loved my stay! The staff was amazing, really friendly and offered up awesome recommendations for seeing the city and places to dine. Scott the GM is very knowledgeable about Asheville and had great recommendations as well. My room was clean, spacious, and perfect for my family. I had no complaints and now I have to come back! Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Quality: another reliable Marriott/Residence Inn; no better/no worse than usual. (Front desk staffer at check-in seemed confused, probably a poorly trained new hire.) Convenience: nice location if visiting Biltmore Estate and/or dining/shopping in Biltmore Village, a short drive away.

We spent a great week in Asheville and stayed at the Residence Inn Biltmore. Terrific place, very clean and one of the best staff of Marriott employees we've encountered. From the kind people taking care of the breakfast area (special thanks to the gentleman that made fresh mini smoothies for the guests) to Shawn, helping my husband with his new laptop and the wifi and the very pleasant housekeeping staff, this place was a real delight to stay. This hotel has very nicely appointed rooms (we had a 2 bedroom suite) complete with a full stove, microwave and oven. The location was ideal and the staff we dealt with was awesome. The complementary breakfast had good variety and changed up a little each day. Breakfast had offerings such as waffles, eggs, bacon, yogurts, fruit muffins etc. My only issue is that it was a little pricey...but that's Asheville for you..,

We needs a place to stay to get away while we evacuated. The rooms were spacious and pretty clean. Although it was damp and musty. So much so we would seriously reconsider staying there again. It's close to the biltmore and other places to eat and shop, but not much to do right there on the grounds. Staff was helpful, so that's a plus!!

It's a few blocks from RR tracks. At times, occasionally twice an hour, awoken by train whistles. Other times less frequent. Others in our party managed to sleep through the noise. I'm a light sleeper, hence it was hit or miss. This could be the case with all hotels in area. FYI. We are long time Marriott members and loyal customers due to consistency of service. All but one of the staff members, at this location, were perfectly professional and friendly. But the exception should have been on m... Read more

Difficult experience to review here as there is a lot of good but as extensive traveller I view more how you are treated when situations occur. So the good - decent facilities - rooms have a bedroom and sofa bed with a functional kitchen; has an indoor pool and front desk staff are fantastic - attentive and caring; car park can fill and whilst walkable to Biltmore Village, it is a drive (10 mins) to central Asheville So to the reason for the review is that the room are totally over-priced and... My mom, sister and I made a trip to Asheville, NC to see the Biltmore Estate in all its Christmas finery. We needed two bedrooms, so we choose the Residence Inn. What a great choice! The two bedroom suite had a separate bathroom off each bedroom, and a full kitchen. Our room also had a gas fireplace, which we used even though it was warm outside, for the ambiance. My review begins with our arrival at evening time. The lighting around the hotel is very poor. We checked in with ease, I had made our reservations online with a request to be on a higher floor. We were put on the first floor. :/ Strike two. Upon arrival the room was cozy with a fireplace and it had separate bedrooms which was nice since we were traveling with my mother in law and our 3 children.
