Red Roof are budget motels and you get what you pay for, small bathroom, bed ok, small desk, no fridge, poor and slow internet. So bad it would have to be free. A bit of noise from the roads near by but otherwise ok.

We travel with dogs and Red Roof motels are always clean. However, once again, even though I called the hotel directly for reservations, we did not get side by side rooms but the front desk was accommodating and changed our rooms. My 94 year old mother was next door and had a handicapped room. I was with her during her shower and the bathroom flooded. I tried to get her out, but even with me holding her, she slipped and fell. I called the front desk and a very kind woman came to help me. Mo... Read more

This was an inexpensive stay at an expensive location. The internet works fine, room was clean, shower had hot water and was clean. Comfortable bed. I had a superior room which had some additional space, fridge, micro. A few bucks more. The only draw back = the room was not ready at check in. The young lady at the counter was very apologetic and by 3:20 I was in my room. Local restaurants in walking distance. I will stay again.

We have two dogs and this place was the best price for a "safe" like location. You're right off the a highway and light away from the interstate. This RRI has laminate floors for easy cleanup if dog makes a mess--it appears they "updated" the rooms, but we still have some ISSUES: *The A/C is very noisy--sounds like a train going by--through vibration against its holding. *The shower did have an issue with draining water. Very gross. The office did have it fixed with a few minutes and were nice a... Read more

What a bargain! Clean, crisp bed sheets, sparkling clean bathroom and sink, totally well kept by the staff. I would stay here again, no hesitation. Plenty of parking. I suggest you ask to see your room BEFORE moving in. This hotel advertises as smoke-free, but our first room had been previously occupied by a chain smoker. The hotel apologized, said that they fine guests who do not obey the rules, and gave us another room.

This is an outside corridor motel. We stayed on the upper floor which was quiet but not easy to walk our pup. Our room was very clean, smelled good and the bed was comfortable. There's a Cracker Barrel restaurant a block away that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and you'd better take advantage of it for breakfast because you won't get any at this motel! Not even a donut! In my opinion when you spend $102.00 for 1 night you should get a morsel of food!! There is an elevator which is nice... Read more

Decent place for a quick stay. The place is clean and the front desk lady was super nice. Holiday doubles the price but hey, it's a holiday. There's no breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It's close to the highway and close to downtown Asheville and Biltmore.

I picked this hotel based on the reviews and price. The plan was a quick trip, we didn't need anything more then a clean place to sleep between our outdoor plans. We stayed in another red roof the night before in a different town and that room worried me. But our stay at this hotel was very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful and check in was a breeze. We had a 3rd floor room facing away from traffic and had no problem sleeping. Very nice and clean in all respects. My expectations were pretty low, so I was pleasantly surprised! The woman at the front desk was very kind and gave me recommendations for exploring the city, and they were more than happy to accommodate an early check-in to let me unwind for a while before a job interview I had that day. The room was very clean, I liked the wood (laminate) floors and the layout of the room. I was on the side of the building facing the interstate, which did get a little noisy during the morning and afternoon but... Read more

Typical of this range of lodging. But better than Motel Six. We had good friendly service at counter. Was able to upgrade from twin full bed room to King for $5.00. I liked bed, slightly soft, not rock hard and good pillows and clean fresh sheets. Mini fridge not stocked, microwave, flat panel TV, desk, coffee in room. Now the Bathroom: dirty, heavy dust on kick plates which I wiped with toilet paper which came off filthy, also looked like 'nose wipings' on wall in front of toilet, popcorn ceili... Read more

This place revitalizes my faith in the cheaper side of hotels. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was clean and modern in design. Definitely would stay there again when I am in the area.

A great location- just 6-8 miles away to downtown Biltmore Village. Rooms are small compared to other Red Roof Inns we have stayed in. No breakfast at this hotel but Cracker Barrel is less than a 1/4 mile away.

We swore we would never stay in Knoxville TN again after 2 dirty rooms in 2 different hotels on our last visit to Myrtle Beach . So thanks to TripAdvisor we booked a nice CLEAN room here. No free breakfast, but surrounded by Dunkin Donuts,Cracker Barrel, Hardees, snd more. Book ahead, not one room vacant.

My sis and I were traveling to a reunion with her puppy. The first requirement was allowing dogs. The Red Roof Inn not only allows dogs, but didn't charge extra for it! The room was very clean, smelled great, large enough for a big dog crate, had very little carpet....all in all it was perfect. There is all you can drink coffee in the office, which is a short walk from every room. There are several eating places within walking distance, too. We will choose this chain again!

Good location to see ashville sights. Just a room. Walking distance to Cracker B. Rates were good. Right by I-40 ramp. Stayed 4 nights with no problems. Spent each day seeing the sights like Biltmore, Pisgah and Chimney Rock.

Large, clean room with plenty of space for our gear. Quiet location off the interstate 40. This Red Roof lacked the amenities of the one we had just left in Mt. Pleasant - no pool, no coin laundry, not as close to better quality food (I can't and won't eat at a Cracker Barrel, Dunkin Donuts or Hardee's). Fortunately, it was only a 15 minute ride on the motorcycle into downtown Asheville or a 15 minute walk up to a shopping centre with an Ingles Market and coin laundromat. Do be careful if you de... Room was clean but looked like burnt in cigarette spots on the toilet seat and it is suppose to be smoke free. Also the room smelled musty and there was plaster bubbling up and ready to peel off wall in bathroom

We stayed here after a friend had recommended it to us. We were just looking for a place to stay overnight on our way home from Nashville. The hotel doesn't look great from the outside and the room was very average, kinda dated, but clean. Be sure to reserve a Deluxe room if you want microwave and mini fridge (we had neither) and not sure if any rooms have coffee makers or not - but they do have coffee available in the lobby and there are several restaurants close by (Cracker Barrel and Bojangle... Clean, and exactly as advertised. I had a concern about the possibility of noise due to being right the interstate. Turns out, I heard absolutely nothing ! The only thing I have to say is that this is a pet friendly hotel. The problem with that is that the pet owners are NOT ! We stepped in dog poop on the concrete side walk going to the stairs. This is not a hotel problem it is a people compliance and no concern for others porblem.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. We had no problems during our stay and the staff was great. We received extra towels with no trouble at all as we waived housekeeping during our stay. Everyone was very friendly. The only small issue was that the bathroom area could have been cleaner in my opinion. Great price and you get what you pay for. We stayed on the side facing the freeway, and it really didn't bother us at all. If we were to stay again, I would request a room on the side not f... Read more

Just to give a little background on my past experience with Red Roof Inns, back in the 90's the motel chain was one that catered to only prostitutes and crack heads. Nobody in their right mind would choose Red Roof Inn unless you wanted to walk away with an STD just by touching the door knob. What a long way this Red Roof Inn had come. They've finally stepped up in the world. Red Roof Inn West isn't perfect, but it should definitely be a contender when it comes to your choices between Comfort In... Read more

There are so few hotels/motels in the Asheville area on a summer weekend that are available for a decent price last minute. I thought the room photos at the Red Roof looked like they were updated with new furniture, etc (as in, not old and yucky), so I booked. I was so pleasantly surprised that not only was the room nice and updated and very clean, but the bed was super comfortable, and the room was equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and coffee, hair dryer, nice tv. We stayed in route to our vacation and had reserved a room a few weeks prior- and glad we did. There was no vacancy the night we arrived. It was a very clean and quiet room. Traveling with our dog it was nice to have a pet friendly place. The front office staff were friendly on both arrival and checkout.

We stayed at this hotel for two of our three nights in Asheville, and overall it was a good stay. We had two adults and two children in our room, so it was a bit cramped (not by much). The biggest challenge is the tiny bathroom. It's like a fine game of physical Tetris to get in and out of it! Outside of that, it was solid: nice staff, plenty of parking, very little traffic in the surrounding area, close enough to downtown without having to deal with the headaches of downtown, FREE WIFI, all of ... I usually book my motels online ahead to see pictures but while traveling back home decided to get a room just to get some rest from driving and to do a bit of shopping so got this one through onstar. I needed an accessible room and the walk in shower was wonderful-bench with hand held shower and rails. The room had a safe, frig, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer, and ironing set if needed.
