My 1st but not my last trip to the Grove. Must place to stay in Asheville. The Spa is a must see with over 40,000sq/ft. Fireplaces and surrounding area is picturesque. The staff/personnel was friendly and welcoming from beginning to the end.

From the valet to the housekeeping to the massage therapists and servers, all staff are amazing! They buy into the experience and seem to value their work. Room was lovely corner room with great view of mountains. Food is very good. Highly recommend curry chicken at Edison's. And, all guests must make time to sit in rocking chairs in front of wood burning fireplace. Such a relaxing and historic place for romantic getaway or family vacation.

We stayed in room 269, which felt more like a Super 8 hotel room. My husband is over 6 foot tall. He struggled to sit on the toilet due to the limited space between the front of the toilet and the wall. His feet were literally against the wall. The shower was disgusting , I didn't even bath during our stay. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (mattress and pillows). At 3a I begged my husband to take me home. He talked me into staying until morning. The duct work must be extremely old and/or m... Read more

We recently stayed at the Grove Park Inn for a friend's weekend celebration. The timing was perfect with the arrival of a beautiful snow shortly after we were safely checked into the hotel. I have nothing but good things to say about our stay, especially the staff! Everyone that we encountered was friendly, gracious and accommodating. The valet staff did a fabulous job of clearing the driveways during the snow and getting us out of and back into our cars on Sunday. The bellmen and elevator opera... Read more

We have stayed in this hotel on several occasions. This was my birthday week and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The personnel was very helpful and friendly. We had a couple of meals in the restaurants and they were very good. Had time to do a little shopping in the hotel stores and found some interesting items not found elsewhere. We would recommend this hotel for a great romantic get away.

Indulge in this fabulous place for a weekend...or week. It was an 'over the top' stay with attention to detail and top notch service. Construction was taking place in the building we were supposed to stay in and because of that, the hotel had switched our room in an effort to make our stay more restful. To our surprise, we were placed in a suite. What a fantastic upgrade with a majestic view to add......It was one of the best spa experiences of my entire life also. Don't miss the Grove Park!!

This was my second trip to the Grove Park Inn. It's a beautiful old hotel with lots of history. I highly recommend staying in the old part of the Inn, with the mountain view. There isn't a place to request this online, so I called for reservations. We checked in and got the other side of the hotel, which is also pretty but overlooks the parking lot. Our awesome bellhop, Jeff, called down to the front desk for us where we were put on the phone with William. Within 5 minutes William called me back... Read more

We arrived Thursday and left Friday. It was a quick overnight stay and the entire visit was exceptional. The lunch at Edison's was delicious! Of course, drinks by the fireplace is a must and the entire staff was so helpful. Truly world class is all aspects of service, location, and ambiance.
