Spent the weekend here. Hotel had opened just a few days when we arrived. Very modern hotel, friendly front desk personnel, great beds, pillows and fluffy towels. Clean and new. No complaints. Large flat screen LG TV with excellent picture quality. Refrigerator, iron and ironing board, Keurig Coffee maker in the room. Parking was supposed to be $6 per night but gates were not working yet and we were not charged for parking.

This review is for the hotel's restaurant, The Iron Hen. Attentive service and spacious, modern atmosphere (obviously competing with Aloft). They have only been open for two weeks, so here are my suggestions based on my experience tonight: 1. The deviled eggs are a theme here: Jazz.them.up. Such a great idea for bar food and an excellent theme, but what was served was bland as hell and not AT ALL worth $1/deviled egg (see my picture). 2. Get fans out in the front outdoor dining area. 3. This hotel is brand new, we may have been the first to stay in the room we stayed in. There seemed to still be some slight construction debris in the room. A little dust and particles of Sheetrock. That can be overlooked and chalked up to it being brand new. The room was nice and the decor is modern. Bed slept really well. Room furniture is nice and modern. However upon check in we were told by the gentlemen that we were going to have a great location for our room and it would be great. I use Hi... Read more

Applause for the Staff at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Asheville. Concierge Michael-David, so knowledgeable about every aspect of the City, is your go-to for what to do and where to visit. Check -in was effortless, setting the tone for a relaxing visit. Modern, spotless, and comfortable, from the lobby to the guest rooms. The Mixologists at the Rooftop Lounge created spectacular cocktails that made the beautiful mountain and city views that much more enjoyable. Location is superb for walking to... Read more

Nice location for walking to downtown Asheville venues and restaurants. The room was very large. Very clean, as it is new. The lobby has a small art gallery. Restaurant option, the Iron Hen is downstairs. The rooftop bar, Pillars, was very nice with a great sunset view and live music. Comfortable bed. Large shower (but no place to put your shampoo, soap, etc. In room refrigerator, microwave, small keurig coffee-maker and sink station. Our room had a sitting area.

My significant other and I took a last minute trip to Asheville with our pup to experience the city and do some hiking. Traveling with your pet can always be a challenge but the Hilton Garden was very welcoming and accommodating. They charge a $50 pet fee which is not necessarily cheap but much more reasonable than other hotels in the area. They also gave us a number of good suggestions for local restaurants where we could bring our pup. Also, the hotel is brand new and just beautiful! Overa... Read more

Great location if you're wanting to stay in the heart of downtown. You can leave your car in the hotel parking lot ($6/day fee) and just walk everywhere because it is close enough. Being a new hotel the room was clean so no complaints there. May be short on maid staff because we left in the morning and came back by 1:00 and our room still hadn't been "freshened up". When it was, the maid left a kind note, which was unexpected and nice. :) I had a small discrepancy on my bill when I returned ... Read more

We were so excited to learn that HGI had come to Asheville. We used points to stay for the weekend. We are gold with Hilton so we have been to several of their properties. The hotel is new and very clean but the breakfast that we usually receive as gold members was a disappointment. It is not like other HGI in that it is an outside restaurant instead of their own. The food was so so. We were given an $11.00 voucher for each of us and still spent $10.00 more. This was for food that wasn't ... Read more

The hotel is brand new and fresh. The lobby is large and well done. The room was pretty standard fare for a Garden Inn. The location is great if you are going to the courthouse. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in downtown Asheville. For the amount they charge for the ideal location, they should be much better about the service. We checked in at 11:00. Front desk said they would let us know when our room was ready, they didn't. When we finally arrived back to check, they put us in a room directly outside the elevator and that's all we heard ALL night was the dinging of the elevator arriving on our floor.
