Despite its aged history this place was very modern. We stayed on the children's wear floor in a very large room, as was the bathroom, including a deep jacuzzi tub. The location was perfect, right in the middle of restaurants, shopping and only a 15 minute walk to the stellar breweries.

My Wife and I just took a weekend trip to Asheville and stayed at this hotel; the rooms are large and luxurious which makes the stay much more comfortable then some of the other accommodations in this area. The staff were also very friendly and the location is excellent! Shopping and dining steps away.

We recently had family visit us in Asheville and we of course recommended Haywood Park. The location can't be beat, in the heart of downtown Asheville and within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and breweries. Definitely take advantage of the free valet, parking can be tricky, especially on the weekends. Our family couldn't say enough about the hotel's hospitality, met with a glass of champagne and provided with helpful recommendations. The building itself is a former Ivey's depar... Read more

The free breakfast at Haywood Park Cafe was wonderful. This property is located in the heart of downtown Asheville, so we never had to get in our car once we arrived.

We just returned from our first visit to Asheville with a four night stay at the Haywood Park. I‚??ll cut to the chase and simply say that our stay was great. The building itself was interesting, as in its earlier life, it had been a department store. The elevator announced, ‚??3rd floor, children‚??s wear‚?? going to our very comfortable and enormous room. The location downtown was perfect for us. I stayed in this great hotel on a Girls Getaway last summer. The location is awesome, just park your car and you can just walk the city, shopping, restaurants, breweries are all just steps away. The rooms are HUGE...we had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch and still had loads of space. The bathroom is also large, added benefit of extra sink and mirror outside of bathroom, so someone could be showering while another was drying hair, putting on make-up, etc. Staff was professional and friendly, al... We spent two nights here and found it a lovely place to stay. The reminders of the building's past a a department store are delightful--for example, the listing of departments by floor in the elevator, the announcement when you reach your floor, and the display cases containing mannequin wearing merchandise that was or might have been sold in the store during its heyday. Perhaps more to the point, the room we had was very large and very comfortable. The seating area had great light for reading... Read more

My husband and I have been visiting Haywood Park for about 10 years. While it's starting to show its 1984 remodel heritage, it's still a great location with HUGE rooms, fantastic service, and did I mention the location? Asheville is starting to crowd with hotels, so I hope the Park keeps up with the standard it has set. Their new sister hotel, Cambria, could be fun, too. Interesting boutique hotel in downtown Ashville. If you need to be downtown, this is probably an acceptable hotel, but be aware that it's probably not the best hotel if you are accustomed to a hotel with more services/amenities within the hotel itself. It's also an older property so that impacts what services they offer as well.

The breakfast was in a café in the atrium and it was good. The place was clean and the staff went out of their way to make you fe... Read more

Once again, Haywood Park Hotel went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. After a very unpleasant first night experience with a VRBO rental, we decided to see if Haywood Park had anything available at the last minute. Not only did they save our vacation, they took extra care to ensure that we had a much better experience for the rest of our time in Asheville. Their valet service is exceptional, their city knowledge unsurpassed, and their staff members were all friendly. I cannot recomm... Read more

Very helpful staff willing to spend the time with you to make sure you have what you need. Location is wonderful. Easy walk to most downtown restaurants, parks, and shopping. Large rooms, with large bathrooms too. Free breakfast is quick and easy and was good too. We were on the 4th (top) floor and street noise was not an issue. Would definitely return.

The Haywood Park Hotel was excellent in room size and room comfort and the people on the staff were wonderful. Their response to a request was immediate. The Isa Restaurant was excellent, as was the service and people in the Café in the Atrium. Loved having the Chocolate Fetish right there. They are well situated in downtown Asheville, making it easy to walk to many shops and restaurants. The hotel was quiet and very relaxing.

Upon first arriving, the hotel staff set the tone (and in a great way). Each member of the staff that I interacted with was positive and helpful. I was upgraded in rooms (sweet surprise!), and the space in it was astounding. Yes, the bathroom wasn't state of the art, but it likely had more room in it than mine does at home! I truly enjoyed my experience here, and I will definitely be back to visit again.

I stayed at this place because of the reviews. Words like GEM, and Outstanding caught my attention. This place is none of the mentioned things. It is however nice and acceptable. The rooms are in fact very spacious. The beds are good, the TV is good. This place is nice, but really not worth $300 a night. Hats off to them for collecting it.

We had the pleasure of staying here on a very busy fall weekend. Our king suite was very large ,had a very comfy bed, high ceiling and room darkening drapes. The downside was we were on the 2nd floor with Haywood St below which is very noisy on a Saturday night and we are light sleepers. The bathroom was very large but dated. The 80s tub/shower was very hard to get in and wasn't super clean, the lighting was awful. The breakfast which was included was really just coffee, pastries and fast food quali... Read more

The location is EXCELLENT. We found this hotel on the internet; it is the best experience we've had using the internet.

We've stayed at the Grove Park in Asheville, but decided we wanted to be in town since this trip was for dining, music, and touring the art galleries. Our room was a King suite and was quite large and comfortable. I would note the carpet and furniture were starting to show their wear, but they were clean. The bathroom is also a bit dated (pink marble and showgirl lights above the vanity), but has a large jacuzzi tub and a TV. I will deal with a little bit of old fashion decorating as a trade ... After a long day of traveling, I was greeted warmly with a glass of champagne and helped to a luxurious and spacious suit. It was perfect! Supremely clean, well appointed, and more spacious than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. After a fun evening out, I came back to some amazing chocolates left on the bed. Sadly I was only there for one night, but plan to come back for a longer stay with some girlfriends for a long weekend getaway.

This was our first trip to Asheville and we wanted to stay downtown. The hotel is in walking distance to most of the sites and is one of the stops for the site seeing trolley. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and comfortable. We had a tv and phone in our bathroom. Valet parking and breakfast are included. The staff is very helpful and the building has an interesting past as a department store. Although it's not cheap to stay here, they don't "nickel and dime" you. I highly recommend this... Read more

This hotel has so many positive things going for it beginning with the location. It's right in the middle of many of the things you'd like to see and do while visiting Asheville and some of the better restaurants are literally right outside your door. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is immaculate. There is free valet parking for your car, which is unusual for any city, turndown service includes a delicious chocolate, full breakfast is included and they even give you a little bag of trea... We splurged on this hotel and it was so worth it! From the moment we arrived and were offered a glass of champagne to the moment we checked out and were given a goody bag with water and snacks to go, it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was out of this world, and the location right in the heart of downtown Asheville could not be beat. Wow-this is a wonderful hotel. You are greeted with champagne which starts everything off right in my book! The rooms are absolutely huge, have a wet bar and mini fridge, giant bathroom with TV, separate tub and walk-in shower, with a nice make-up area with a second sink. The hotel is inclusive-with valet parking and a full breakfast at the Haywood Park Cafe(separate review). The location for walking anywhere in this fabulous city cannot be beat. Usually I don't stay in hotels when I visit Asheville but this time I'm glad I had the opportunity. Stayed at the Haywood Park hotel right in the middle of downtown. Easy walk to restaurants, attractions and shopping. Room was clean, huge(!) and comfortable. Two Queen beds, club chair, sofa, desk, frig and mini kitchen. Bath has flat screen tv, tub and shower. Staff friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel so no comment but breakfast did come with the room.

Loved this hotel experience - located in the midst of all of the Asheville downtown action.. The former department store retains many of the interesting and quirky features, such as announcing what department on each floor of the elevator. The rooms are spacious and comfortable yet elegant and tasteful. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Just spent 4 nights at the Haywood Park and could not be happier with the experience. This is a very unique, boutique hotel located right in the heart of downtown Asheville. Was a department store for many, many years that has been converted to a boutique hotel.
