The guest services staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They advised us on where to go and where to avoid in multiple contexts and when there were issues, they were very quick to try to fix them. Our first room had a sink that wasn't draining and a very loud AC. We asked to switch and they did so for us. We had some problems with our keycards and as a result we were offered free breakfast for the trouble. That's good service! The next room, however, also had a loud AC -- though ... Read more

The Hotel was clean. It is downtown, but on the outskirts. you have to walk a couple of blocks uphill to get to central downtown. Outskirts means you can see I240 from the parking lot. Also, the lobby could use a little updating. The biggest thing was I went with a friend, and we got a double room. Desk Clerk took 2 cards at check in, but only charged mine. Not sure where the disconnect was. The 2nd. clerk that was there at check out didn't seem to know what was going on. For some reason, my... Read more

Close to downtown is the biggest attraction. $260 to drop in off the street. Rooms are clean. Staff friendly. The weather could be better but it is the weather so... More electrical plugins would be beneficial as I had to unplug the phone to plug in a phone charger.

Located within walking distance to great downtown bars and restaurants. The rooms are always cleaned and serviced nicely and the staff at the front desk ate friendly, knowledgable and attentive. They are only a short drive to Biltmore Estates and often have discount tickets available.

very nice rooms and nice staff. Hotel is a bit out in the middle of nowhere if you do not have a car. The breakfast was ok, probably not worth the money. The staff were all very nice and helpful, especially the reception staff.

It's clean. No problem there. But it's just the basics. Our view -- and that of many others: a construction dumpster in a parking lot and the interstate highway. No refrigerators or microwaves in room. Not even an ice machine on our floor -- had to go to floor above or below us for that. And our room cost over $200. Another disappointment. We were there for a concert on a Saturday night. When the concert ended, we went back to the hotel about 10:30 and wanted to have a nightcap in the restauran... Read more

Stayed here midweek. It is located downtown and you can walk to several restaurants and bars. Parking is free. The hotel is old. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Check in was easy. There is a steakhouse with a bar within the hotel but closed at 9 even though the sign said 10. The shampoo, conditioner and body was are in dispensers on the shower wall. There is a fridge, coffee maker and nice flat screen tv.

We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton from 6/10-6/12/2016. For $209 per night, we felt the rooms were dated, dirty and dark. Old wallpaper in bathroom, carpets were not clean, and towels we're thin. Small lobby. This place definitely needs some updating! Good location to downtown though.

We made last minute reservations as the Crowne Plaza we had planned to stay in was out of water. We were delighted to discover this hotel had water and this is why I am adding 2 stars to the rating as it really was not anything special but considering we have been tired and irritatwd after the awful no-water experience, the fact that we could take a shower at this hotel has made it a great stay despite the unfriendly check in person and lack of Platinum recognition.

Stayed 4 nights for business. Room was never cleaned well. Bathroom was dirty from day one to end. The restaurant The Chophouse was closed more than it was open, so do not depend on it, different excuse each time. Basically, fir the rate it is simply my worth the rate!! I never leave reviews, so for me to write this speaks volumes of the disappointment.

First of all, it is right next to the highway, so the room overlooks a parking lot and highway. The rooms are small and don't seem like they've been updated in some time. During our two night stay, the a/c never got that cold (we had it set on 60 for two days straight, and the room never cooled to below 72 degrees). The sheets were scratchy and the beds weren't all that comfortable. The bathroom was basic at best, and the toilet barely flushed and finally clogged completely on the last night. Th... Read more

Stayed here for a couple of days while visiting Asheville, hotel is within convenient walking distance of downtown.Room was clean and good sized, hotel itself was fine, although very plain, nothing amazing but nothing to complain about either. Check in was painless and staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't do much but sleep here, so it was fine for us

Not chosen by us as were on a coach tour. It took the driver ages to reach the hotel as he could see it from the highway but could not find the access the road to it. However, once there the location was convenient being a short walking distance to the shops, bars & restaurants in Asheville. Not sure about the cleanliness...the pillows were creased so couldn't tell if unwashed or just not ironed before putting on the bed. Musty smell to room too. We were very happy with the convenient location, only a block or so from downtown and at a reasonable price. We booked a wedding party here. While everyone received room confirmations at $129, one week before the received notice that it was a mistake and the room was $229. Not much we can do at this point but accept it. Arguing didn't help much. The hotel is in really bad shape, on par with an econolodge. Smells, disrepair, etc. obviously it was a nice place at some point. The location, while directly on a major highway is good. It allows walking to many nice breweries and restaurants. Will av... Friendly and courteous service, Free parking with easy access on and off the highway, Fairly standard Four Points, as far as room decor and furnishings.are concerned. Our.only real complaint was that the a/c in our room was extremely loud when it was on and was not the most effective. It was running constantly due to the unusual heat wave outside when we visiting, yet it never seemed to get the entire room very cool..We would often stand directly in front of the air vent for a while to cool down... There is no way to order or watch new movies. Ice maker was broken and the staff is not very friendly. They advertised "beers and bbq" on Wednesdays and when we went there the a.c. was broken and the waitress there was SO RUDE! Each guest got a free pint which was great- but no bbq:). I had much better experiences at Hilton hotels. The shampoo and body wash dispensers are slimy and look dirty. This one I would not return to.

I've stayed at a few places in Asheville and for a short business trip this one worked quite well. It was nice to be walking distance to downtown. The staff was quite nice, ready with recommendations. It had a nice big parking lot too. I actually booked it because it was the least expensive option and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it turned out to be. So I would say it isn't a 4 star property but it deserves a very good rating for a nice affordable chain place.

Checked in yesterday - got to our floor and the hallway smelled musty and mildewy. our room had the same odor. We asked about it and they said they would look into it. Upon our return the musty smell was replaced with air freshener. my husband is EXTREMELY sensitive and couldn't breath easily. They let us leave - and are supposed to refund our prepaid room.

My sister and I traveled to Asheville to stay at an area spa resort and decided to stay here, as it is walking distance to downtown Asheville. The hotel is aptly named. On a ten point scale, that's what I give it: four points. On arrival, they couldn't find my reservation. That was because they were searching for it by my first name. Next, two sets of room keys didn't work. The staff explained that this was common, and at least checked to see if the third set of cards worked on the fitness room door. The single elevator did not inspire confidence, and a quick check of the inspection certificate showed it was installed in 1970. At lea... Read more

Beginning with the only saving grace, the staff and management were quite responsive and tried to fix the myriad of problems that plagued this hotel for a business traveler. The biggest consistent problem was the spotty and intermittent Internet access. Their only solution was to reset their routers but they never bothered to check to see if that solved the issue -- it was left to the guest to test and communicate the ongoing problem. This hotel did not meet the standard to other Four Points hotels I have visited. This appears to be an older hotel that Four Points took over. When we arrived we heard the front desk employees discussing how they were oversold by 7 rooms for that night. Corners were not cleaned, found a bit of mold on bathroom floor, and found a used cup beside bedside table. Nasty!
