I don't understand why there are such great reviews of this place. The room stank of Vick's when we entered, the room was dusty and the bathroom acceptable but not great. I did not sleep very well there. And noisy, very noisy!

I'm so glad I found this hotel on tripadvisor. We just needed a place to sleep, since we were arriving late. The check in was easy, the price was perfect, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The only negative was that we were near the ice machine. It was a little loud when people were using it, but that wasn't very often. The breakfast was good for a hotel. They had sausage links, scrambled eggs, potatoes, waffle maker, cereals, muffins, bagels, etc.... I didn't use the other am... Read more

Great price compared to most other hotels in Asheville. Quick Uber ride to downtown. Front desk staff were great, complimentary room upgrade upon check-in. There was some noise issues...not really sure what the noise was from but it was constant. Bed was ok but pillows were small and difficult to get comfortable on. TV remote initially didn't work but front desk staff came to room and fixed it promptly. Didn't use the pool but it was small. Lots of hot water in shower and great water pressure. ... Read more

This is a very nice hotel. Easy to get to. Beds are comfy. Have free cookies at the front desk all day. They have real pillows on the beds. Not the marshmallow size ones. Good breakfast included in rate. Front desk staff very helpful. Housekeepers that we encountered out in the hallways all greeted us.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was close to all interstates and about a 10 min drive to downtown Asheville and Biltmore House. It was a family friendly area near gas stations and restaurants. We felt very safe here! It was a very reasonable price for our budget.

I was very comfortable at this hotel! The beds and the pillows were awesome! The beds were a little high for my 5' 2" roommate but perfect for me (5'9"). Not knowing exactly where we would be touring or where the wedding would be held, I picked this hotel location based on other reviews on Trip Advisor.

Nice staff at check in and check out. Bathroom shower curtain didn't fit so water went all over the floor. Notified staff with no response. Breakfast was ok, would have liked eggs vs sausage. Not a whole lot of parking either. The signage on the street to find the hotel was lacking.

We stopped in for a one night stay while on the way from one vacation spot to another. The motel was a great value for the area ($90). It was very clean and the bathroom felt upscale with furniture and granite counter tops. The kids enjoyed the pool. The jacuzzi was not working. Breakfast included waffles, sausage, eggs, etc. The only con was it sounded like a baby elephant was doing aerobics in the room above us (likely an energetic child). First I need to let you know that this hotel is clean, reasonably priced, has an adequate breakfast bar and very helpful staff. I like that the hotel isn‚??t right on the highway, but a little ways up Old Haywood Road. My granddaughter enjoyed the pool, but found with the addition of many other guests and the size of the pool, splashing was more of an option than swimming. Two downsides. The Country Inn Asheville West was clean and popular with families of all sorts. Its breakfast room the two days we stayed was more popular and crowded than the restaurants we visited. While our room was nice with two comfy beds, it was crowded and cookie-cutter. Asheville is famous for both folk and contemporary art. We wish the chain had taken the opportunity via its decor to help us know we were in such a one-of-a-kind place.

The rates was reasonable, the hotel was very clean, breakfast was great, 24/7 coffee/tea, to go water and snack bars, fresh cookies, beds comfy, beautiful view from my front window. The staff were always professional and helpful! We were about 10 minutes from downtown and a reasonable distance (40 minutes) from our hiking destination. We will be back!

We stayed 3 nights over the 4th of July holiday weekend. We found this place to be an excellent value. Our room was clean, spacious and every thing functioned properly. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We read a lot of reviews on Trip Advisor before booking. Do yourself a favor and take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. I do not know what planet there people are from. At this price point, this place is an A+

A quick trip to Asheville turned into a nice getaway thanks in part to this hotel. It is convenient to I40 and a short drive to all that the city has to offer. We were on a motorcycle trip and on our way home from a week in Georgia. We had bad experiences with hotels down there, but as soon as we walked in to this hotel it was great. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and on the first floor. The breakfast was fresh and hot. Everyone was so friendly and went above and beyond. Thank you so much.

We stayed here in May for 5 nights. The room was clean and had a sofa and chair area, so that we could visit with our relatives, who were also staying at the hotel. The breakfast was fine. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant nearby -- El Chapala -- that we enjoyed twice! We did quite a bit of sight-seeing and it was relatively easy to get to the highway from the hotel. I would stay here again.

The Country Inn was a decent stay ‚?? the room was comfy, clean, and had a nice bed. The walls were a little thin. We were close to the Biltmore Estate, but it was a bit out of the way from downtown. Next time I think we‚??ll splurge and try to get a little closer to main strip, it's just more lively and walkable down there.

Close to Biltmore estates and surrounding activities. Took about 10-15 minutes to travel to the city of Ashville or to the Biltmore estate area. Room was clean and the staff was pleasant. Well maintained facility. Breakfast was provided and the food was well prepared and delicious.

Location is good - right off of I-40. Convenient to Biltmore Estates. Breakfast was good. Needs another elevator - 4 floors and 1 elevator made for very slow service. 4th floor hallway had a strange smell, but I didn't notice it in the room. Room was comfortable and clean.

The room was clean and all of the items were in order. Internet service good with no problem with logging in. Overall stay was good and the check in and out was good. The only thing I would change is a survey that requires 200 words and more than two HBO channels.

While the room and location were fine and close to where we needed to be, it is a very isolated location with only one or two restaurants and no sidewalks for walking or exercising. You have to drive miles to get to a place of interest. So the hotel and service were fine for a one night stay but the location or area of Asheville is not attractive.

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. We stayed for 4 nights and got to see everything we wanted to see in Asheville. The location was in very close proximity to the Biltmore estate and downtown Asheville. The room was clean and the people were very friendly. The beds were really comfortable and the breakfast buffet had enough to eat before heading out for the day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Asheville for a few days.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Asheville and were quite disappointed. The location is nothing special - not an attractive area, not close to downtown (which is what we should have looked for), nothing interesting to walk to. Although we were away from the hotel almost all day our room was never cleaned ,which is a big no-no. The breakfast room was very crowded and the biscuits were incredibly salty and the sausage was not tasty. The room decor was a bit depressing with an ottoman w... Read more

It's nice and clean and the staff are very helpful - Nolan, in particular, was thanked several times for his helpful advice by other visitors. Apparently there are 4 of these hotels in the area. We only saw one other that was in a shopping mall, so we're glad we stayed at this one instead. It's just off a main road so it's quiet and downtown as well as the Biltmore were a short drive away (about 10 minutes). The only downside was that the walls were very thin, but there isn't anything to b... Read more

I stayed for 4 nights for a conference in Asheville in spring 2016. Since googlemaps showed that it was only a 10-min drive to my conference site, or downtown Asheville, or the Biltmore Estate, I figured that would be pretty convenient. I think I would have preferred staying downtown, however, the Country Inn is in West Asheville, and it's a little bit off a commerical highway. We stayed at this hotel when taking a quick trip to Biltmore. Location was very convenient and only took 10-15 min to reach the Biltmore estate; prices here were far more reasonable than hotels that were still a 5-10 min drive. This facility is well located and has an excellent shuttle service to the city. It runs from 3pm until 11pm on demand. The rooms were comfortable, clean and modern. The only downside is the lack of food infrastructure in the surrounding area. I would recommend this hotel as a well priced comfortable stay.

I had a problem paying upon arrival. I needed to use a cc that wouldn't be able to cover cost of my entire stay till next day. Usually this kind of problem, in my experience, leads to heavy sighs and inability to accommodate. No problem for these top notch, customer service oriented employees! The Country Inn & Suites West Biltmore was very nice and clean. It was only a few exits prior to the Biltmore Estate but much cheaper than the hotels near Biltmore. I would highly recommend this hotel. It had an outdoor pool, but of course it was closed in November, but we drove over to the Biltmore to see how long it'd take us (15 minutes) then went to the winery and drove around the estate grounds (after 4 pm if you have reservations for the next day).
