"The room was nice, but aside from that my experience was a frustrating one. Upon arriving, there were no cups or glasses in the room, and I also realized I'd forgotten a corkscrew. I called housekeeping, who said it would cost $1.50 per item I wanted delivered to the room and would take 90 minutes! Later that evening, there was water on the bathroom floor from the toilet that had begun to leak at some point while we were out. They sent a plumber up to replace it at 3am, then called me at 4am to tell me I was being charged $300 for the replacement cost. They told me the only way to avoid this was to speak to a manager at the front desk in the morning. When I did this, he couldn't have seemed less interested and was no help at all, telling me that the case had already been forwarded to 'risk management' and was out of my hands. The phone number he gave me for risk management didn't even work! All in all I was happy with the quality of the room / casino / restaurants, but my experience with the hotel management was extremely frustrating and they didn't seem to care about me as a customer in the least."

"my hotel was excellent, but beware!!!! I booked my vacation with book it.com where they charged me a specific 'discounted' rate, however when I got to my hotel and checked in the gentlemen at the front desk was not aware that my reservations were pre-paid so he gave me a total which was in excess of ten dollars less than what my alleged discounted price with book it.com was per night. therefore i would have been better off booking directly with the hotel, when i called book it.com to inquire about price difference they just apologized and send me on my way. Great hotel, worth every dollar of it but book directly from hotel."

"I went to Atlantic City for a friend's birthday. We were all extremely impresssed with the Tropicana. We stayed in a deluxe room in the Havana Tower that had an incredible view of the ocean and was close to the boardwalk. The room was spacious, very clean and had nice decor. The hotel itself is beauticful and has great shopping and lots of restaurants to chose from. The karaoke bar was fun but closed early when the crowd started getting small. Over all we had a fabulous time would definitely stay at the Tropicana again!"

"We were looking for an cheap but safe and clean place to stay overnight as we were coming in for a concert. I have to say I am surprised that the Tropicana was the best deal around. We stayed in the new Havana Tower which also houses all the new restaurants (Carmines, Cuba Libre, PF Changs, etc.) and a shopping area.
The rooms are nothing spectacular, but they are big, clean and comfortable. Staff at check-in was friendly and when we realized we only had two bath towels, we called housekeeping for extras and had them in about 5 minutes!
Overall, will probably stay there again for a quick and cheap place to stay that is centrally located on the boardwalk (but will only stay in the Havana Tower!). Even though the concert was there, staying at Borgata is just ridiculous due to the cost. And while we are loyal Harrahs Group Casinos in Vegas (Paris, Caesars, etc,) for some reason it is cheaper to stay in Vegas at these hotels than in Atlantic City!"
