I stayed at the Sheraton while doing research nearby, which meant that I took the shuttle each morning to the archive. I didn't expect this shuttle ride to be one of the highlights of my day, but Sean, the morning shuttle driver, is an absolute delight. The beds and bedding were also exceptionally comfortable, above what I would expect for a hotel property at this price point. My biggest complaint would be that the wifi was spotty, both in the lobby and in the room.

I have been numerous times to the Sheraton Tarrytown, and I like to keep coming back. The rooms are spacious, quiet, clean and well equipped. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The gym is sometimes a bit crowded, and the running machines do not always work. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the train station, from where you can go in less than an hour to Grand Central station. The bar and restaurant are good but a bit pricy.

I stayed recently for a work meeting. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. Soft squishy pillows comfortable bed. I ate in the restaurant and had a wonderful experience and a delicious meal. The waiter, Bryan was friendly and attentive, the steak frites so good I ate every bite. Great sear on the steak and the fresh cut frites piping hot, crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. Absolutely great way to end a long day.

Has a Victorian/classic feel. If you're a Platinum member the lounge is great, right off of the elevator. Lobby is very nice and the restaurant in the hotel is great. Grocery store right behind the building as well. Fitness center is below average

Stayed for one night. The hotel is conveniently located for any number of visits in the Hudson Valley. We stayed after spending the day in the city and for a further visit outside of town. Big plusses: free Wi-Fi, two bottles of water, and more upscale bath products. REALLY appreciated the little package with cotton balls, Q-Tips and nail file. This is paying attention to detail, I list these amongst "most frequently forgotten items" so it was nice to see that someone else thinks so too! ... Read more

Another great meal with my husband. When at the Sheraton ask Sami the bartender for a recommendation. He will never steer you wrong. Sami recomended the Lamb Chops. The Chef Michael Koonce out did himself. He took hotel food to a new level. If you order the Lamb Chops make sure you ask for the potato augratin that the Chef Koonce makes with the caramelized onions. You will not be disappointed. And defintely have desert.

The Tarrytown Sheraton is well placed for access to NYC. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional. Rooms were clean. The hotel, however, is in need of some major renovations/upgrades. These upgrades are underway as they close and renovate one entire floor at a time but this is not expected to be completed for months. Existing rooms are old and tired looking, furniture is in need of replacement. There were no safes, refrigerators, or bureaus with drawers - instead you have a very ... Read more

Friendly staff and quick check-in. Room was clean and everything worked except the wifi was very slow which made it difficult to work from the property. If they could fix this I'd rate it 4 stars. The lobby Starbucks was particularly convenient.

Enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton. The lobby was undergoing renovation. My room was "tired," so its unclear the extent of renovations anticipated. The restaurant had both excellent and far from it service. The food and beverages were good, but pricey.

Looks like I am not the only one saw beg bug in this hotel. I am a business traveler who sleeps in hotels 200 days a year- yet this is the first time I saw a bed bug in my room! I was in bed about to sleep, I saw a bug on the ceiling crawling and fell on me in the bed! I called front desk immediately, the Hotel front desk Mr. Steve on duty came up and killed the bug in my bed. Not acceptable. Room was clean but atmosphere in the surrounding shared spaces not very nice. The bartender at the lobby restaurant continually called me "honey and love." I don't know about how other women feel, but I find this disrespectful. This area also smelled terribly of rotting garbage, not appealing in a restaurant. On the positive side, the cleaning ladies were lovely, efficient and friendly along with the little Starbucks kiosks, it made mornings much more pleasant.

Nice hotel. It is just a few minutes from the Tappan Zee Bridge and same from White Plains. I chose not stay in White Plains as I felt Terrytown would be a bit more quaint - and it was. The hotel is simple, rooms are clean, the staff is nice. Most people are there on business, so the hotel is quite. Not bar or scene. This hotel does the place to sleep job, good wifi, and is clean.

Booked our (prepaid) club floor rooms way ahead as part of a family graduation celebration. Got there when check-in opened and were told that we couldn't be accommodated on the club floor (where the rest of our family was) - "overbooked and unfortunately people who book through 3rd party sites get bumped first." The reason for this re-assignment changed a few times - mostly implausible ("had a number of guests who decided to stay on"), depending on who we consulted, but the bottom line is that... Read more

Okay, first, yes the property is undergoing renovations one floor at a time, but the impact within the lobby is minimal and overall did not impact my stay or comfort. Second, the Sheraton brand is not normally my first hotel option as a road warrior and I have few "points" but I really like this hotel for overall comfort. My room was spacious, the desk and side stand made working easy to spread things out, the bed and pillows are super comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. It's a... Read more

We were the first people to stay in one of the refurbished rooms. On the whole it was lovely, but we did give the desk a short list of needed adjustments - including doing something about the incredibly noisy air conditioner and temp control. Appropriately, they apologized and treated us to Starbucks in the hotel lobby. It would be hard to find a better location or a more gracious, helpful staff, We'll stay here again.

The hotel rooms are fairly small to the extent that when you request a large bed there is literally no room left for much else. We couldn't shut the bathroom door. We were woken by hammering and/or drilling of some sort early in the morning when we stayed there. The cleaning crew / ladies made nearly as much noise in the corridor as the engineers / builders. The pub / restaurant couldn't take credit cards or add the bill to the hotel so no way to get points or even pay by credit card. Th... Read more

The rooms are modern and clean. Fresh and crisp sheets, excellent TV size. The pool was excellent and clean. The fitness center was nice and not too crowded. Thank you Paulina for your kind and courteous handling at our check out. The hotel is lovely and our room was very comfortable. Possibly due to the current reconstruction I was unable to connect to the internet after numerous attempts to remedy the situation. At check-out we were able to receive an adjustment to our billing since the several calls for tech support were duly noted at the front desk. Thank you again for a pleasant visit to your establishment.

I've usually been happy with the rooms and amenities at this hotel. On this occasion, the room wasn't up to the standards I've come to expect. I stayed at this hotel for a weekend. I had a wedding in the area. The hotel upon entrance was pretty. The rooms were okay, not totally modern, TV was a little out dated. The carpets in the hallway had stains. The hotel is going under some renovation or construction and they were banging on a Sunday morning. We used the Sheraton Tarrytown for our wedding weekend and couldn't be happier that we did. Everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to keep our guests happy. Coordinator Cindy Gonzalez was so helpful with every question I had. She promptly answered each and every email I sent to her, and she had great suggestions to help make everything go smoothly, and we had over 70 of our family and friends staying there. I know from talking with others who attended a conference held here that the rooms varied quite a bit regarding size and amenities such as a cooler. Ours was on the small side, but big enough to move around in. The TV screen was easily large enough to watch. We all ate dinner together on one evening. The staff was exceptional in setting up a buffet table with plenty of food - all delicious and refilled before any items ran out. A drawback is that the hotel is just off a major highway. A...
