There is no reason to have high expectations for a hotel like this on the edge of a university campus. It clearly has a captive market. But you would expect things like the room windows to at least seal, so you don't literally have to listen to the wind whistling through them all night. A run-of-the-mill place, with low aspirations. It is at least convenient to the university.

I attended Syracuse University and recently decided to visit and attend a game. The Sheraton is the only hotel on Campus and an easy walk to the game and all things SU so it was the only hotel I considered. The hotel is really very nice. The staff is very attentive and professional; the room I stayed in was large and well decorated. The hotel has a bar which is large and very welcoming and the restaurant was open late and the food was good. Finally I have a dog. The hotel was pet friendly as... Read more

I really wish we would make it here more often. The service from the front desk, lounge, dining areas and house keeping......all just cater to the guest on such a high level. Beyond our expectations every year. We attended the NYE celebration this year again it is honestly just getting better each year. The stay, appetizers, dinner, open bar (7:30-1:30 am), midnight buffet, champagne, music, late checkout, breakfast buffet.......Well worth the trip. Some very special people that absolutely make ... Although a lot of heavy foot traffic, this hotel was impressive with it's cleanliness and warmth . Very clean considering the amount of people walking through it's corridors. Rooms are clean and a tad bigger than a normal hotel room in this stature. A plus is that the room we stayed in had a refrigerator for our perishables. A plus is the restaurant in the property which doubles as a bar/tailgate event before SU games. Carrier Dome is a 5-8 minute leisurely walk from the property.

A very nice place to be if you want to be on the Syracuse campus! Friendly staff, comfortable clean room, nice food. Free shuttle service. Very easy access to the university and the surroundings. I would visit again.

Syracuse does not have many hotels.. I traveled there like 5 times this year and tried different hotels. This is one of the best options in the city. Service is perfect, rooms are big an clean, but the hotel is/seems old. It is a very good value for your money though.

I booked last minute due to severe weather; they were very kind and considerate, and the room was excellent, quiet, and had a perfect temperature. Prices were excellent for the quality. I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing spectacular, but no complaints. Rooms were clean, not overly large. Hotel could use some general updating, but overall is ok. Nice to be close to the university. The breakfast left something to be desired, and making that better could seriously help improve overall rating.
