Nice hotel and beds. Pool was smaller than expected but the club level gave us options for food throughout our stay. Staff was friendly. Restaurant was okay, not great. Had the buffet one night and it was NOT good.

During the past 2 years, my husband and I have stayed at 4 different hotels while touring and visiting the campus. The Sheraton Syracuse was by far the top hotel. Our daughter was a freshman in the Sadler dorm and we stayed at the hotel in May 2016 to bring her home. The location could't have been better. After a 6 hour drive we were relieved to arrive and happy to be so close to the dorm. The parking is adequate and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating with directions, map... My daughter recently had her wedding reception at the Sheraton, and the staff at the hotel bent over backwards to be helpful. A shout out to the staff who worked on the reception, including especially Diana, Kevin, Rob & Katie for their organizational skills, imaginative advice, awesome decorations, and personalized help. They met with us and everything was planned down to the smallest detail. The wedding went off without a hitch, and the food and drinks were excellent. Cudos to the salmon, e... Read more

While on our drive to Syracuse, our car broke down, and with some back and forth with Starwoods and the hotel, we arranged to have our rooms ready when we arrived late (ultimately, at 3 AM). The staff was waiting for us, and got us straight to our rooms (quickest check-in I've ever had). We were put on the club floor which allowed us to wake up at a reasonable hour and not have to worry about breakfast. Location is good, rooms are nice, but the staff stood out (OK, it was the desk clerk on th... Read more

I was at the Sheraton Syracuse to attend an event in town. Gave them a check to prepay and when I checked out, they charged it to my credit card. When I pointed out it was pre-paid they said "Oh, that's where that check goes. Also, didn't get free parking as was part of conference.

The Sheraton is located right on the property of Syracuse University and is the best location I have stayed at in Syracuse. The hotel is older, but kept up very nicely. The property is clean and updated. The lobby is bright and inviting. I have stayed in several other properties in Syracuse, and by far the Sheraton is the best location and where I will always stay on future visits. I like the fact that you can walk to so many restaurants and bars, the Carrier Dome if you want to catch a g... Read more

We stayed at the Sheraton Syracuse University and commuted to Ithaca for my brother-in-law's graduation from Cornell's with his Master's in Business. We chose the Syracuse Sheraton (ironically virtually part of SUNY Syracuse's campus!) because it appeared the best hotel in the area . . . the best close to Cornell. The service was excellent, Jane the manager at the front took care of our complex three room reservation beautifully, the restaurant and bar are very good. We ordered a bottle of wine ... Read more

We stayed at the Sheraton for 1 night in June 2016. We booked room with 2 Queen Beds and were placed on the 5th Floor. Parking was included (but confusing as you take a ticket, but don't need to use it if you stay overnight). The beds were comfortable and rooms were in average condition. It was good overall and we would use the Sheraton again.

Through long stretches of business travel, you long for these occasional quality bumps than what the road offers. A hotel that pays attention to details; from the renovations to the entrance, the gym, pool and jacuzzi, and I could go on. A walk from campus (could be a positive or negative) but definitely doesn't draw a young, student population. Manager Joe Cifarata went above and beyond to accomodate and has earned a repeat customer. Kudos!

Stayed here for one night and it truly was a quick stay. I checked in around 11 pm and left on the am. Hotel is wonderfully located close to M Street. Easy check in process. Free parking in the garage. Room was average. Two queen beds. Comfy. Nice views. Bathroom was a bit tight on space. Super per friendly as the don't charge anything extra for dogs. I've stayed at the other top rated hotels and this is on par with those and better located.

Great hotel in a convenient location right on campus. Check-in was quick and service was very friendly. We had a specious clean room with a view of the campus. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel offers complimentary parking.

We were in town for a graduation and enjoyed staying at this hotel! The staff is amazing, all very friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean and comfortable. The pool is indoor and you are able to have food delivered to the pool. Nice exercise room and overall a really pleasant stay. If we ever have reason to go to Syracuse again, this is where we will stay!

Booked two rooms for one night. Only one of the rooms was available at 3 p.m. Normal check in is 4 p.m. so we just ran a few errands. When we returned, found out that we had been upgraded to a huge suite! Slept very well. The club lounge was nice and had a good spread of food at both breakfast and dinner. Nice view over the city as well. Great location and served us well as we were town for a concert at Lakeview Amphitheater (six miles away). Several eateries across the street from the hotel in... This is a really nice hotel with excellent front-desk personnel in a lovely modern and well appointed building. Located right on or adjacent to Syracuse University and Destiny USA, it is a lovely place to stay. They were willing to have the shuttle driver ferry us to and from the Destiny USA Mall which was great. They have a large parking facility which helps as it can be quite crowded downtown. The one drawback was our room service experience. The person answering the phone had no idea about wh... Read more

The room was very clean. The meal we ate in the restaurant was yummy. All of the motel staff were awesome & very helpful!!! The only bad thing I have to say about this place, was that the pool was very dirty with globs of dirt & hair in it, which was very disappointing to me.

I really enjoyed visiting 'cuse for the first time since I graduated back in 2004 (!!!) The Sheraton is a perfectly acceptable hotel and was a good home base for our 2-might visit to Syracuse. The rooms are actually very nice with comfortable beds, linens and pillows. And the lobby is nice and modern. I'd say there are a few areas of improvement to be made. The main one is that the 1980's called and they want their pool back. The steps leading into the pool are yellowed and gross and the pool ... Read more

Ok, for Syracuse this might be the best option. Quite a conventional hotel but large clean rooms. Avoid the breakfast and restaurant downstairs. You're better off going outside the hotel. Desk service was helpful. Plenty of parking available.

We come to this hotel about once a year to visit local family. I cannot say enough good things about it! From checking in our 3 rooms with Pauline, who was fantastic, to the gentleman and lady at check out. Brian in the bar was absolutely fantastic, personable, friendly and quick! During our visit, we did not realize the downtown area would be completely shut down. Luckily, we found Brian at the bar and had a great time! We stayed at this hotel during a Syracuse Univ Orange Preview Day for prospective students. The location to the main part of campus is a 5-10 min walk. The parking is very convenient and the hotel has nice amenities. The restaurant was good for breakfast. The pool was nice as well, just wish they had a hot tub. The room was quite comfortable and our interactions with the staff were fantastic. There is a free shuttle that will take you where you need to go. I highly recommend this hotel.

We originally were booked at the Hampton on Erie... They didn't have our room ready (though it was 3pm) and the place is in such a low rent part of town. We drove to the Sheraton by the University without a reservation. The desk staff immediately made us feel welcome and took care of everything, even matched the price at the Hampton. This Sheraton has a great staff, updated rooms, a pool and a decent workout room. It's steps from Marshall Street which is full of character. Highly recommend.

Short but very comfortable stay. The hotel has been redone beautifully. All that the Shetaton needs to do is improve on their toiletries. The bathroom fittings, the sink are all very well designed & great to use. Just the tall guy at the Club room at breakfast seemed grumpy & unpleasant.

My family decided to attend this year's New York State Fair over Labor Day and stay at this Sheraton situated on or nearby the Syracuse University campus. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful - especially when it came to suggested directions and parking for the fair. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Overall, it was a good value for the money when you consider location and amenities. We'd stay there again.

But not to confuse you from the Title: Syracuse might not have the best luxurious hotels like in the big cities: NYC and Chicago. So If you would think of visiting Syracuse for Business (Like a Job interview in the medical center), then this is one of the best hotels in the area. Great staff, the bar is nice, The Club Lounge is OK, with average choices of beverages and sweets.

I found this Sheraton very clean. The linens were neat and comfortable. I wasn't crazy about the fee to park but a staff member did remove the fee since I also attended a party at the hotel. Check in was awkward as I was originally given a key with the wrong room number. Once in our room it was lovely. I recommend spending the extra fee for club access. Stayed here with my husband for the weekend for a conference for work. My son also stayed and had his own room. Check in was easy and great welcome. We had both requested king rooms, but ended up with 2 doubles. Not a huge deal, but not getting a bed type we specifically reserved is a pet peeve of mine. When you sleep next to your husband for 25+ years, separate beds feel weird, and double bed is too small and crowded feeling. Nonetheless, we managed because they were completely booked. The room... I always enjoy coming to the Sheraton for a regional conference. The staff go above and beyond to help those of us that plan the conference. Staff are friendly and some I've seen here for over 15 years, that speaks volumes about the hotel. The rooms have been updated, always the most comfortable beds, food is great and it's easy to walk around the neighborhood if you need a break.

My husband and visited your hotel for 2 nights. When we returned home my husband couldn't find his glasses anywhere. Since I spent 16 years as a hotel manager the task to call the hotel became mine. It is not in the central business district but the hotel does provide a shuttle service (which also goes to the airport. The exercise room is up to date and adequate.
