This was our favorite Hotel for many reasons but it has lost some of its appeal. The rooms and the lobby need work, they are getting shop worn and need attention. The hotel rooms are still very clean. Most of the front desk help are the best from Patricia, Christina and our favorite NANCY. The dining staff are great as well as the short order cook. Avoid KIMBERLY the front desk manager. She has no personality. Look at my past review to compare. Sorry to drop from 5 to 4 rating.

Excellent hotel Personnel were extremely helpful and courteous.Breakfast was well prepared on the spot by a cheerful chef, and very tasteful. Order the food just the way you want. I do highly recommended this establishment for its service and cleanliness.

Our room was located to the back side of the hotel and we heard loud music each night until 11 P.M.. There is a banquet room on th efirst floor and they have frquent events. They closed the restaurant on a Saturday night to host a ticket only event in the dining room. We had to dine in the bar area and with a very limited menu, but at regular restaurant prices. It really turned out to be nothing more than bar food in small portions.

I slept great because I am a hapeavy sleeper but ALL THE COMPLAINTS about the loud music coming from the club are absolutely legitimate. Other than that its a great place to stay. BEWARE light sleepers!

Met our expectations to accommodate our family. Checkin was easy, room was appropriately sized and clean. Hotel staff was accommodating and breakfast was nominal when purchased separately with bed/breakfast special.

Helena Noriega, OUTSTANDING!!! She is Guest Services...I went to the bar and asked for a Bud Lite Lime and was told they did not serve that beer. In passing I mentioned it to Miss Noriega and about 30 minutes later a person came by my room with a six pack of Bud Lite Lime. I was blown away, I travel with my job a lot and never has any hotel done that, even a repeat hotels. My family arrived to this hotel with great excitement. Was the first time for all of us to visit the "Big Apple". I spent a ton of time planning and researching. We decided to stay here so we wouldn't have to drive into Manhattan. Was a short drive to the Ferry. However, that first night was pretty rough. I enjoyed my stay. It was in a good location, to the boroughs. The king suite was quite spacious. I would definitely stay again! I also enjoyed the resturaunt located in the lobby it wa0s very convenient.

Clean, comfortable room with very polite staff. I had difficulty opening the door to the room from inside the room. However, I did not report that difficulty until I left the hotel. I am certain that the problem was addressed after my departure.

Everything from check-in to check-out; the employees are great - the quality / cleanliness of the overall hotel is excellent, the bar/restaurant is top notch - when ever we are in Staten Island this is the place to stay. You can tell the owner/ management takes pride in this hotel and knows what they are doing - well done!

Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island, New York, was a very enjoyable experience. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The bar was enjoyable. Overall it made our trip delightful.

Stayed there since I have visited the restaurant, event hall and bar in the past. My son and I needed a place to stay overnight since I was moving to NC from SI. I think their restaurant and service is top notch. Sorry, to have to be moving but was able to have one last night there.

The hotel was very nice. Locaton was super convenient located not far off the highway. The room was nice and clean. Didn't use room service or try the restaurant but next time will be very tempted to try the breakfast for sure. Overall great stay and great value.

Ver nice hotel. Booked suite which had sofa bed to aaccommodate a third person. That was not comfortable but the Hotel provided a cot which worked out fine. Everything about the hotel was extremely nice including the staff. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to be in Staten Island

Great way to stay away from the congestion of NYC (and cheaper, too!). Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The hotel was busy with weddings and the 5 Boro Bike Ride, but everything was great. Easy location to get around. Not many places to eat within walking distance, had to drive.

Hotel accommodations were excellent. We had a suite for 3 people. King bed and sofa bed which was a single. Too small for our 17 year old but would be great for younger child. We traveled with an air mattress so everything was fine. Suite was roomy and very clean. Would stay here again.

We were given a sympathy card during check-in because we called to request early check-in so we could make it to a viewing. Service was fabulous, our room was spotless, and all meals at the hotel were great! Jacqueline at the front desk was wonderful!

We were given a smoking room and could not be moved our first night. Everything had a smoke smell. We called and they sprayed room perfume. The housekeeping should have caught this before anyone else used that room. When we moved our clothes still carried the smell.

The price was higher than most rooms I book when traveling, but since I was in the NY area I figured the prices would be higher. But, free breakfast was not included with my room, which was a disappointment. Business travelers, beware...no free breakfast.

The room was very small for four people. You had to turn sideways if two people were passing each other. The lighting in the bathroom was awful for a female. It did not appear updated. The floor / carpet was dirty looking even though it may have been cleaned. As a Hilton Member I was very disappointed with this location. The breakfast buffet was expensive. No outdoor pool that we found. The employees were nice.

Hotel was very upscale and treatment by staff was the same. Location was excellent. Amenities were fine except for internet connection. Restaurant staff was very good even though our family just had desserts. Front desk was effiocient and pleasant.

This hotel is in our opinion the best option when staying on Staten Island. The rooms are spacious, the staff are so friendly, and you are only 25 minutes away from the ferry crossing to New York. We much prefer to stay on Staten Island and get the ferry each day to NYC. Its a lot cheaper than staying in Manhattan and you can escape the madness when you have had enough. Well worth paying for the breakfast and room deal as it is cheaper than paying for breakfast as extra.

From the reserving on-line to my stay, this hotel met all my expectations. Check in was a breeze. Very clean rooms and above courteous staff at the front desk. Stayed for two nights for my wife's family reunion. Everything was clean and well maintained, even the parking lot!! Beds were super clean and comfortable. Overall the stay was good. I chose this hotel on Staten Island because it cost less to stay here than in Manhattan. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the maid (Elsa). This was my second time staying here and would do it over again.

Our whole team stayed at this hotel. Our stay was uneventful...which is a compliment! Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. Staff was professional. Breakfast was good. Strangely, there are few hotel choices on Staten Island. The hotel was very busy with social events. My only con was the slow elevators.

Professional helpful staff at front desk. For a busy hotel this place is very clean. Complimentary wine for Honor members. The only non issue was the mattresses in room 418 were uncomfortable . Lorenzo s bar grill was excellent and reasonable for new York prices.

The hotel was very clean and modern, and the staff were very helpful. There is a reservation-only shuttle for the airport and other destinations - but book in advance, otherwise it won't be available. That happened to me on my way in, so I had to uber from the airport, but I booked it in advance to go back to the airport - the shuttle driver was wonderful and called me to let me know he finished early and was available if I wanted to leave earlier. Convenient location, reasonable pricing but some flaws: 1. Bed was lumpy and in clear need of replacement. 2. Pull out bed in king suite was unusable - large springs, minimal foam on mattress. Could not accommodate a person over 5 feet tall - literally! 3. Buffet breakfast was $15 and we skipped it.

The room and hotel itself was very clean. The staff was friendly. However the bar/restaurant is a little pricey. And the rooftop isn't open to the public in the summer which was also a disappointment. Also the gym and pool are miniature. However they did win me over with the cleanliness. I would stay there again.

I stayed in 234 on the side of the building and was tight above the wedding pavilion and heard all the toasts and wedding music all after oon and evening until mn. Very very noisy room. Would not stay again as I was not attending any wedding and cojld not sleep well

The line to check in/out requires patience.. And be ready to ask all the questions you have when its your turn bcoz otherwise you will have to spend another good 15-20 mins in the line again. I think it's also the location of the front desk. It is in the way between the front door area and the hallway to elevators. Ppl are being bothered to be in the line and to move over all the time by other annoyed ppl who is trying to go outside or to the restaurant.

Very dissapointed in our stay here. We were there for two nights and had two uncomfortable nights of sleep as the beds were like sleeping on a board. Embassy Suites is the way to go within the Hilton brand. Better value, rooms and service.

Was disappointed in the hotel. Room was old and did not have any soap in it. There was toilet tissue in the toilet so it didn't seem like the room was cleaned totally. The staff were very nice, though. We had reserved two beds and only got one. The bed mattress was very firm and the control dial wasn't working to soften it. Maintenance came in and couldn't fix it. I think for us it was just one of those bad luck situations. Might normally be an OK place.

Very clean room and friendly staff. Great location to Manhatton and close to cruise terminal. We used the park and stay option and it was very convenient and the shuttle drivers were very helpful. Would like to be able to chose our pickup time when getting back from cruise was the only negative.

We just had our daughter's engagement party here. It was a wonderful event. Gina DeFilipo was a wonderful event coordinator who always made herself available. The serving staff that night could not have been better. We had daily stay overnight and everyone had a good experience. They liked the fact that the hotel provides shuttle services to Newark airport so they didn't have to rent a car. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is very nice and has great accommodations. My family and I were staying for a party in the hotel ballroom. All was good with party and stay but depending on the shuttle service was inconvenient because it was rarely available. We were hoping to use it to go to/from the Staten Island ferry each day. They need to add another van. Just budget taxi fare into your stay and it was around $20 each trip for us.

The hotel was great. It had an excellent breakfast buffet. There was easy access to all highways and major roads. Very close to other hotel where car rental was. The only difficulty was with the wifi in room.

Short 15 minute ride from the Newark airport. The free shuttle to and from the airport was great. It will save you $48 for a taxi ride and the tolls. Room was clean, staff was very courteous as we arrived very late. Affordable rates $129 a night. Lorenzo restaurant offers a very good breakfast for 14.95

This hotel was clean, had great staff, and did a wonderful job with the wedding (including before and after parties). We would stay here again, for sure. The garden provided a beautiful setting for the evening wedding.The food was awesome, too!

Arrived here for a wedding. Free airport shuttle from Newark was a plus. The entrance was beautiful, there was a large lounge area of to the right after walking in. There was a restaurant off to the left. The wedding was held in the ballroom. There is valet if you drove to the ballroom entrance. Everything was perfect and the staff couldn't had been more nice.

Terrible experience. Usually, I don't complain; however, our hotel room did have working AC. We were put in there anyway. They were completely booked and could not move us. They came to look at it, but I don't know if the person who came up had any experience with AC. I would not stay here again.

The staff was helpful, our early check in was honored. Room was lovely and immaculate. Pricing was very good. Breakfast was laid out well and the choices were just what we wanted. The wait staff was very friendly and allowed us to order a la carte. Check out was quick, ample parking. We felt very safe and secure there.

The hotel itself is beautiful. Access to a computer and printer really helped us. They have a complimentary shuttle to the ferry but you have to sign up for it. Since the first available time wasn't till 2:30pm we ended up not being able to use it and had to drive and pay for parking at the ferry. The beds themselves are very comfortable but the pull out couch isn't. Get two beds instead of having one person sleep on the pullout couch. Free wifi but you'll have to pay for a premium service ... We stayed in 311 facing parking lot, but every conversation in hallway and next door kept us awake. Also doors slamming in hall all night long. Called the front desk at 3om and things quieted down, but didn't help much as had to.get up early. I hope the Hampton Inn next door has rooms tonight. #nosleep

Room was good. Lady cleaner was good & she was doing good job As a wedding venue were out needed water & not faciliteted. (Hot weather) Other wedding occasions were not bad Parking facilites were brilliant

Hilton has always been my first choice. When we entered the room, I noticed that the wash cloths in the bathroom were damp. Also there was a bar of soap for the bath tub, but there was no hand/face soap on the sink. I was really surprised by this. The bar was really nice. Good service and premium booze.

We stayed there for 2 nights while attending a wedding. The location was convenient as it was only a couple miles away from the venue (Snug Harbor) and a shuttle trip away from the ferry. The room was small per our standard, but this is New York so I was not too surprised. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but not much options for food or things to do around the hotel. You need a ride to get to the closest ones. In all, it is a decent hotel that may need a little facelift.

Extremely friendly and professional staff. They always provide me with a warm a cordial welcome. They also move very quickly to answer any questions and address any concerns. The restaurant serves great food with a high level of class and service.

As always when visiting New York my wife and I stay at our home away from home 'The Hilton Garden' On Staten Island.. As always this establishment is welcoming, clean, the food is very good the free shuttle to the Staten Island ferry is perfect.. The staff is always welcoming helpful and understanding!

I decided to book my wedding at the hilton garden on staten island. Sue met with my fiance and I in April. Our wedding was set for 7/21/17. She had given us a price of 120$ per person. We thought great!! We signed a contract for the date. Upon leaving our second meeting i notice price was not 120$ on the contract. It was 150$ and taxes per plate. We stayed here my brother's wedding. This hotel has great accommodations and was able to check in early, which was super helpful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and would come back and stay if I'm in the area again.

Outstanding Staff and location. Best Hotel in Staten Island! Also convenient for access to New York City via free shuttle to the Staten island Ferry. Bar and restaurant is great and rooms are clean and spacious. I highly recommend this Hotel!!!

The room stank of mold or mildew. The windows could not be opened to air out the room. The pipes make high-pitched ringing sounds. Poorly constructed building fobbed off as a luxury hotel in a desolate area of Staten Island.

Everything was perfect from price to cleanliness to staff being cordial! I will stay here again whenever I'm on Staten Island. This was our third visit to this Hilton. This Hilton offers almost everything and is close to shopping, etc.

This hotel is great - it's a short ride on the Ferry to Manhatten and of course you are in the center of everything that Staten Island has to offer. The hotel is clean, modern and has great restaurants - they also offer a free shuttle service to local airports and the ferry terminal

I have been staying at Hilton's for work for the past three years. I stayed at this hotel (as I had for the past three months) and had a pretty horrific experience due to the quality of the room. It is disheartening to know the distress I felt as a customer wasn't valued or even considered to be important despite my Hilton Honors participation. The SI Hilton Garden Inn is a superb location for a family wedding! The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is always there for you and to answer any and all questions. Do not take Room 225 as it is right near 3 air conditioning units and the noise is horrible. The staff changed our room with no problem and we were very happy on the 5th floor. For all your travelling needs, you must stay at Rich Nicotra's Hilton Garden Inn.

FIne hotel for a quick visit to NJ and NY. A bit tricky location. You have to pay unnecessary toll crossing the bridge from NJ to NY. One way street in front and not easy to get public commute or taxi. Heavy traffic around the location as this is an industruial area. No much eating out in the area as well.

Lois and Richie have put heart and soul into making this establishment a first class venue on Staten Island. Whether you're attending an affair in the ballroom, or just having drinks in the lounge. The service and detail to attention is spot on.

The entire hotel is damp, musty and moldy. There are HVAC units that made a tremendous noise outside my room window. I had to shut off the room AC because it was so moldy but couldn't open the window due to mold. Food was mediocre. Staff was OK.

It was what you'd expect from Hilton, nothing more. The staff was ok, the rooms were clean, and there is a shuttle to the ferry. It's limited to certain times per day and was bummed that the only morning shuttle was at 7 a.m. No shuttle at night.

I missed my connection to Asia hence booked last minute to stay 1 night at the hotel. I arrived the hotel at 1 am; the hotel was booked for some wedding party, ended up in a double bed room, which I completely understand, my gripe with the hotel is as follows: - I paid upwards of USD 340 for a night, in a room, when I woke up, had carpet wet with humidity and smell....a nightmare...imagine you getting up from bed and walking on wet carpet...it is a creepy and horrendous feeling.
