Nice, quiet property. Although construction was going on outside around the hotel it did not interfere with, or bother us at all. The gentleman that runs the breakfast buffet every morning is extremely nice and makes you feel like a true guest .

Stayed at the Staten Island Hampton Inn on a Friday and Saturday and spent the weekend traveling back and forth to Manhattan. The drive from the hotel to the ferry goes through not the nicest part of town, but is a straight shot and not too far (about 20 minutes). The hotel was clean, the front desk staff was very friendly and we asked for a cot which was large AND complimentary!! We paid a very reasonable price for the room - a good option when visiting New York City and want to save some mo... Read more

Complementary breakfast ( 6 am - 10 am) - rotating hot items like scrambled eggs & bacon, oatmeal, 3 kinds of dry cereal, toast, muffins, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk , coffee & tea...nothing too fancy but appreciate the convenience and the fact it is complementary . This hotel is in a quiet area, and looks quite nice when you enter the lobby. The common areas are very nice, modern furniture and clean. There must be an issue with outsiders and breakfast and beverages as there are multiple signs that beverages are for overnight guests only and signs stating the same for breakfast. Last evening I wanted hot tea, but the water provided in the lobby was not even warm. Multiple selections available for breakfast but not good. Stick with toast, cereal, and yo... Read more

Hampton Inn Staten Island is a lovely hotel that greatly complements the Hilton Family brand. The hotel is very clean and in great condition. The interior is very nice with a welcoming theme. It's as if you're walking into someone's home and right there is the living room. Speaking of which, they have a great lounge area to relax in. Elevators did not get cleaned often enough. There was a lot of traffic and they showed it. Fingerprints etc. complimentary breakfast was just mediocre. But it is complimentary so there's that. Room was large, and I felt like I was staying in the suburbs. Plenty of parking. Shower was hot. The room air conditioner is tied to a switch on the door and a sensor in the room that determines that you are in the room, so it turns off when you open the door or leave the room. Free internet was slow, then stopped. Had to stop at front desk to check-out, just like 1950

Hotel is very nice. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Rooms are very small and elevators are very, very slow. Real this on reviews before we booked so it's been a constant issue. I realize that space is limited, but a little more moving around room would have been nice. Would still stay here again.

This hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. Our complaint is with the shuttle service. If you are going to this hotel to visit NYC, be advised that it is not close to any attractions other than Staten Island. The shuttle service is not reliable and the staff can only recommend a taxi. If you are passing through the area then it is not a bad hotel to stay at for the money.

This Hampton Inn is clean & attractive. I was particularly impressed with the 9/11 Commemorative sculpture and piece of steel I Beam. While I'm sure or at least hope my issues were isolated, they had a significant impact on my stay. When my wife checked in the woman at the desk seemed to do her a favor. As a gold member, aside from not being offered water & snack (a relatively minor issue), we were assigned the worst room in the house; by the elevator control room across from the ice machine. ... Not the most convenient of locations on Staten Island but this Hampton meets expectation if you've been to others in this Hilton family chain. The bed was very comfortable but not the choice of pillow firmness available in some others I've been to. Quiet second floor traffic but I there was a band below that shut down at a semi-decent hour on Saturday night. Breakfast bar quite adequate and again, what you'd expect. TV quality was low-medium. If you go there in warm weather, there is the pr... Read more

We had a two night stay to this Hampton Inn to visit our grandson in college. The hotel was easy to get to, close to the college and an overall pleasant stay. The staff, from the front desk crew to the breakfast monitor (who helped me retreive my credit card which I mistakenly threw in the trash can). The room was clean and well stocked and the maid said if there was anything we needed to let har know. They gave us a discount for having a grandson in sports at the college. We are looking fo... It is a beautiful place to stay from the art work outside to the equestrian themed decor on the inside. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. The bathroom could have been cleaner due to some hair in tub and on floor but the experience overall makes it a great place to stay. If you go in the shuttle to the ferry hang in for an interesting ride

The hotel has friendly and efficient staff. The room was clean and met all basic needs. On the down side, the shower didn't really get hot enough and the water pressure was low. The hotel offers a nice complimentary breakfast, but no food service of any kind beyond that. If you plan on a late arrival be sure to eat first.

Location and access from interstate is best and easy for SI NYC. Although breakfast is typical fare it is hot and freshly presented. Hotel, service and breakfast staffs are gracious and efficient. Free parking is a definite plus on SI.

Good service. Real easy check-in available online. Buffet breakfast. Rooms clean as always. And if you want a cocktail walk over to the Hilton across the parking lot. I've stayed at both Hilton and Hampton. I'll return to the Hampton.

If you like a very clean environment don't stay here. Housekeeping services are poor. Neglected our room twice. We were blamed for the sign being on the door which t was not.The hotel is old and tired. The lobby is beautiful. The staff were nice. The breakfast was good. I would not recommend this hotel. For a Hilton it fell short.

Right off the highway, easy to get to. Bright, clean, modern lobby. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast which varied each day. Lots of different choices. If you want to explore to city or Brooklyn it's very convenient with ample parking. The lobby where breakfast is served is also a great place to just sit and relax! Would definitely stay there again. Helpful and friendly staff.

If you have business in Bayonne DO NOT stay here until the Bayonne Bridge repairs are complete. The hotel itself deserves 5 stars. Clean, easy parking, great breakfast. My problem is not being told the truth when booking I asked a direct questions about the Bayonne Bridge access. I was told I could easily get to Bayonne across the bridge. Now while I understand if every client was told about it they would not have any customers but I asked a direct question about it and was lied to. Had I b... Read more

I made a reservation at this hotel for my husband the other night, because he had car trouble on Staten Island and could not get home to NJ until the problem was corrected the next day. His impression of the hotel was very positive. He told me that his room was very nice, and clean, with a spacious bathroom. The hotel was quiet, and allowed him to get a good rest. He??s not really a breakfast eater, but he had juice and a muffin the next morning, which he liked, and he said the other breakf... Read more

My kitchen & bathroom where being renovated, so I decide to rest up at the Hampton. I knew I would have work of putting everything back together. Also i needed to be close to check on the work. So this was perfect. The pre check in made everything go smooth.

Hotel in general was fine, but the heating system blew A/C all night even though thermistat was set to heat at 74 degrees. It was reported and suppsedly "fixed" for the second night of our stay. Problem was the same the second night. Spoke to the heating engineer the morning of our checkout- his explanation was that that was the way the system worked - it had to cool down,so cool air will blow out of the heating vents- even in November! Seems a little fishy to me!

Not really much to say. I was here for 3 nights and have stayed at many Hampton Inns. I loved the view from the 6th floor and very impressed with the breakfast selection and quality. Also, the breakfast area is well thought out and spacious, not like so many other hotels that convert other areas into an eating space. I DEFINITELY would stay here again and look forward to doing that soon. Good job!!

My three children, husband, and I stayed for three nights at the Hampton Inn and Suites, Staten Island. The staff was super friendly! We stayed in a room with two queen beds and one sofa bed. The sofa bed was not comfortable, so we called and asked for a cot. One was brought up almost immediately and we realized upon checkout that we were not charged for it. Breakfast was great! The lobby was beautiful. We had a really great stay here. (Time constraints prevented us from using the pool and fitne... Read more
