We used the Roslyn Hotel as the base of operations for a family memorial weekend event. Worked with the reservation staff closely on booking a block of 10 rooms, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We worked with Laura Duhig on using one of the ballrooms for a reception after the memorial service, and things couldn't have been better. Prices for the reception were very reasonable, and Laura went out of her way to insure that everything was perfect. The food and drink went far ... Read more

Being a single woman I didn't appreciate being relegated to the tiniest, most remote corner of the hotel, next to the exit. The room was also part of a suite and there was no sound proofing between my room and the main part of the suite so I could hear every little sound next door. I asked to be switched, which they did. Then, the best part: I took a hot shower, and when I got out clearly on the mirror was scrawled REDRUM on the mirror.

We were coming in for a wedding at The Swan Club and most quests were staying at a Holiday Inn down the road. I saw reviews on the Holiday Inn (micro tiny rooms) and opted to book at The Roslyn. The Roslyn had spacious clean rooms, great friendly service and a pretty good breakfast too! Breakfast was pastries, bagels, cut up fruit bowl as well as whole apples and bananas, eggs scrambled and hard boiled, fried potatoes and onions, pancakes and french toast, oatmeal and dry cereal, yogurt, jui... The hotel was beautiful. It was clean and smelled wonderful. The room was as pictured and the bed was comfortable. The staff was courteous. They went out of their way to be helpful. The best hotel I have ever visited.

I stayed with a colleague for one night for business and was happy I did. Many have spoken about the plentiful breakfast - and they are right! It is truly delightful with many options. The interior is very distinct and obviously used an interior decorator so that this old hotel has a modern look. The staff were quite helpful. They pointed us in the direction of Hendricks, located only a few blocks away, for a late night meal. I would go back just to eat at this restaurant again. The reason... Read more

Stayed here on business and really enjoyed myself. The room were large and very comfortable. This was my second time staying here and this time was even better than the first. Just an incredible experience. The room service was great, highly recommend the Onion Soup, and the morning breakfast buffet is fresh and plentiful.

The heat pump had only one speed - loud. The fan would run only during the cooling cycle, so the room alternated from hot to frigid until I hacked the thermostat for continuous fan operation. The sink faucets were installed so on = clockwise, and the toilet float got hung up half the time. No problems aside from that.

Our friends and family stayed for our wedding nearby, and the accomadations were perfect, and Raj and the entire staff were wonderful responding very quicky to all our needs. The location was just what was needed, and the breakfast was complete and well laid out. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. They upgraded us to A suite for our anniversary. It was beautiful, clean, and just a really cool place. I would highly recommend it. There's great restaurants just a short walk down the road.

We were at this hotel a few weeks ago. Upon checking into our room I noticed a pair of dirty bikini underwear on the floor. I guess the room was not cleaned properly. Management never said anything to us when we told them. We had a family party this week and I made the reservation on Expedia. The description of the hotel was all wrong.. No pool, no valet parking, no outdoor space. My husband and I thought the hotel should compensate us for this. When I asked for a 3:30 check out I was told it wo... Read more

Having read the previous reviews we asked for a room at the back of the hotel for more peace and quiet - not that the surrounding area was busy or noisy once we were there but it was a precaution. The hotel is old but has been renovated in a very modern way which is better than had it been kept old and then would look tacky. It was clean - decent bathrooms - not very upmarket- good location to restaurants to walk to - a hot breakfast (so so) but at least it was a free offering - the accommodat... Read more

It's an odd hybrid of (former) Motor Lodge and (now) Boutiqu(ish) hotel - quite bright lights in the lobby lead to a scuffed up elevator and if you don't park your car in the underground level you have to schlepp your suitcase(s) up two flights. The rather dark room is furnished all in white and if you're facing Northern Blvd very noisy. No earplugs are supplied. Housekeeping is on the slow side so forget about afternoon naps. Overall a functional but not too great an option. Nicest feature - yo... Read more

This is a wannabe luxury hotel but doesn't come close. Air conditioning very noisy and very inefficient. Breakfast that was advertised as great was disgusting. Very overpriced for just an OK hotel. Location was good but other than that nothing positive to say.

Hotel is newly renovated - in good condition. The breakfast is very nice. Fitness room well kept. Plenty of parking. If you are used to a big bed, need to request a room with a king or queen sized bed.

We stayed for 5 days it was an all in all fantastic stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It was kind of loud during the morning commute due to being placed facing the road but it wasn't anything too terrible to not sleep through. I would stay again if ever in the state again.

I met up with my girlfriend on Long Island and we stayed at the Roslyn Hotel. We love the hotel. It perfectly fit our needs and it was walking distance from the Roslyn strip. The rooms were clean and well prepared. It was very affordable around 250 per night.

Quaint Downtown Roslyn is within walking distance. More of a Motel then a Boutique Hotel. It is noisy, broken furniture, and the worst bar service. Spent 15 minutes for the bartender to show up. There were 4 people in the bar lounge and no bartender. He was delivering room service orders, while 3 people were doing nothing at the front desk. Mixed drinks were hard for him to make, so I went with a glass wine. There were so many flies that I was constantly shooing them away. Once I put the glas... Read more

I flew in on the red eye from CA and arrived at 7 am. I was able to get a room for an extra $75. I went to the breakfast buffet and then back to my room to get the sleep I can never have on a red eye. It was sweltering hot outside and very humid, but the air-conditioning in my room took care of that and I was out like a light. I slept well again that night. Sometimes, that's really all you need from a room.
